Threats to Shaco with this build
|Tristana||Theoretically, it is hard. But to be honest, no one will expect that they'll die within one second particularly with this kinda build.|
Greetings! I am not a pro gamer, and not even in NA but at least hear me out. This is my first guide overall and I chose Shaco because of Joker. I've been playing for 3 seasons and I'm having fun! I'm one of those whom we call "Jack of all trades" which is a "master of none" but that wasn't so bad.
I'm also not good at this. So please don't expect too much of me.
I took armor penetration runes because it is extremely hard to gain high arpen items that gaining damage items. CDR runes are for your boxes and deceive cd that makes you almost as slippery as Joker himself. The attack speed runes are for faster tower destruction in case you plan to split push all the time.
You can have your own runes the way you like it if it doesn't make you comfortable though.
Shaco is the master of stealth arts in the league that can deal high damages and leaves you with a bit of life to head home (LOL). Shaco is very vulnerable against counter invisibility items and is very squishy. So far, this jungler had the record of the scariest junglers ever made and is quite balanced... OR IS IT?
What makes me a fan of this champ is that I dealt a damage of 1997 physical dmg in just one hit on squishy carries. It is enough to take down the armorless without getting caught or at least take another target before dying.
For this to work, you need a cc-oriented laner to gank since the only cc you have is the box and the shiv. You should take the kills because the lane can have money via farming on the laning phase. Don't get sad when you can't tho. It's not that hard to catch up on items.
As much as possible, don't you ever engage first because you're not a tank. If your laner chickened out, then don't risk it. Take another chance from other lanes. And if others don't, consider jungling on your enemy jungle or at least do counter-gank.
Before ganking, always make sure that You are ready to go for it. Plan ahead. Think of what will happen if ever the rival jungler heads on the same lane you're at. However, if the jungler happened to got there first, you have to show up, ward his location, and box another brush to ward him off the lane. Then, take advantage.
Always instruct your allies whenever you gank to stay as calm as possible so that no one will notice you coming and say go if you're in a good position.
Don't waste time on ganking too much. Apply 15-second rule. Use 15 seconds to analyze a gank, then hit it. If that fails, then go back to a jungle camp and head for another run on the same lane to apply pressure. No matter how many times you've failed, You've already sent the message.
Shaco's ult needs a high level of psychological warfare in order to make use of it effectively. Since I don't, I can't tell you how. But I'm pretty sure the key's about being calm.
During these times, you should have at least have your hydra, an enhanced warrior jungling item, and your mobi boots.
The first thing to do is to look for the weakest link and hit him hard. Whoever is the squishiest will be your target. But always aim for the carries (marksmen and mages) before heading for the support as your last resort.
Then plan a route to initiate your Deceive with ease and without getting detected by wards. If ever they changed positions, abort mission.
And then plan an escape route in order to leave safely. The main mission is to kill your target as fast as possible or at least make em go home.
My own mechanics
These things will help you take down any carry (or send them home)
Always hit the target from the back to deal maximum damage.
The combo goes decieve, hit, Hydra active, shiv, and another hit or maybe two. Apply ignite and smite whenever you feel using it.
Reserve box to cover your exfil.
If the target didn't die within 2-3 seconds, consider bailing out by popping ult and head to the box. If the target died, do the same.
Wait for your skills to cool down and do another run to someone who is squishy enough.
This should take about 30 seconds to one minute or at least before you die to see the results. And since you blew their carry up sky high, That will buy some time for your team to take down what's left because you got a marksman and a mage with you.
Do's and Don'ts
Pick this if:
the top laner took a tank-type
the enemy jungler took something that doesn't counter you first
the enemy marksman chose a non-mobile champ
your mid took a high-cc or high burst damage champ
NEVER EVER INITIATE A TEAM FIGHT... EVER
counterjungling your counter
pick this if you hate thinking too much
pick this if you don't have any tank to begin with
get scared on straying through your own backyard
get carried away if ever you killed someone within less than a second
