Chapter 1

Just a build I like to use, but to each their own :D Have a great killing frenzy!

So I like to play Akali as a jungler! All jokes aside, Akali is an exceptional laner and assassin, so I play her as such. I personally like to lane on bottom, but top or even mid is okay. Over the chapters I'm just going to exsplain my Talent Tree, Item build, Skill Sequence, Summoner Spells, and Runes.

I use Greater Marks of Insight for early game magic penetration. It's always nice to void someones magic resistance with your runes. Greater Seals of Vitality are for late game health, and making Akali even harder to kill. A few extra health bars never hurt anyone. Greater Glyphs of Potency are obviously for a few extra ability point mid to late game.

I normally go 21/9/0 in my masteries as to give me the most damage I put out while giving me late game health and resistance.

I used to go off of a build right here on mobafire but I decided one game to mix things up a bit and I normally have rolled with this item build ever since. Anyway, going on to the build. I start right out with Boots of Speed and Health Potion x3 just to make sure I can run/get a kill/ don't have to port every five seconds. Following up with sheen as soon as I can buy it. Sheens extra damage is invaluable and can be a major turn-tide item. Mercury Treads are for the tenacity and being able to get out of sticky situations. Plus the extra movement speed is always fun. Instead of going straight for Lich Bane or even Rabadon I get Hextec Revolver for the AP and Spell Steal. It's always nice getting 40+ health back with a single Crescent Slash. Or 70+ with Assassin's Mark + Activation. Giant's Belt obviously to build into Rylai's Crystal Scepter. The great thing about Rylai's Scepter is that not only does it give you AP and Health, but it also gives you a chance to slow your target. Now that we have some decent AP it's time to build Rabadon. The 30% AP boost is amazing once your build is set in stone. Turn that Sheen into something a little... or a lot better, by buying Lich Bane. I personally think that Lich Bane is one of the best items in the game. It simply SCREAMS assassin. The bonus damage from it is very significant on squishy targets and you don't have to waste as much energy. With the final items coming to play it's time to get Gunblade. Gunblades active, is a surefire slow that damages the enemy. Not only that but it gives you AD so if you don't already have you passive active, you sure do now. And the final piece of the puzzle is Void Staff. The magic penetration is amazing and the AP just adds onto the massive amount you have from Rabadon. I don't find quite the same result but this build also works on Katarina as well.

Skill Sequence

I don't really think I need to explain the skill sequence. It is pretty straight forward as to farming minions and damage out put.

Summoner Spells

Flash and Ignite. Sometime they are used together. Let's say, your R is used up, and everything is on CD. Flash and a quick Ignite can set that pesky flee'r ablaze.

That's my two cents on my build on Akali. Hope you implement something from it into your gameplay or play style. Feel free to comment and vote! Happy Killings!
