Welcome to my first League of Legends build ;)
Irelia is one of my favourite champs, this guide will tell you my way of playing her.
Its might not the best guide, but i spended much time on it, so i hope it is needfull for you :P

Pros:
- good at mid and late game
- very good at killing fleeing enemys
- if played well you will do amazing damage
- good at farming

Cons:
- very depending on teams quality
- hard to master
- before level 6 you are some kind of passive

I choosed speed runes, because in my opinion they are very usefull for Irelia.

At first it is allowing you to get pure damage items. You dont have to waste much gold for speed items like Phantom Dancer.

Speed runes are a very good combination with Hiten Style:

You will attack very fast at level 1. In fact you can hold the line even if there are ranged enemys, because you have a passive lifesteal. And at melee fights the attack speed will help you to do amazing damage because you will do absolute bonus damage to your opponent.

We start with aand one.


The Long Sword will give us the biggest damage bonus at level 1. It is also a good combination with our speed runes.

Fast movement is very nice for Irelia. We go for.

Optional, if there are to much stunners it ist always recommended that you you go for.


You will not have much life. But that is realy not a great disadvandge for you.

With your Equilibrium Strike you can stun you enemy only if you are on lower health than your oponennt. In some games there are fools that dont will notice that. You can kick them realy fast with my guide. And if there are tanks you can stun them easily, too. The nice damage output of this abbility at early game is also a great advantage.

After that we go for a, then aand evento complete our.

The Trinity Force is a very good Item for Irelia. Up to mid game you will be far more deadly because of this.

Now we go for our.

The Infinity Edge is the greatest crit-based damage item. Need i have to say more? :D
This is quite good, but now some lifesteal and a damage boost is the the best in my mind. I think you all now what i mean.

Yeah, next we go for the Bloodthirster.

Optional, if your enemys got to much life, you can go for a.
Madred's Bloodrazor is quite the best tank shredder item you can get, so i dont have to say more.

Here we go! Irelia now have amazing damage output, but how ever, a tanky item never can worth it. Noone wants to die in about a few seconds ;-)

If the enemy team got much AD go for, if they got much AP go for.

We have to buy our last, but realy not least Item. I thinkist the best.

Optional you can go for onother damage item, or you can buy a defensive item to become more tanky.
