Irelia, Queen of the Lane
Deals True Damage
Long Lane time
Long ranged champs can eat through you if engaged wrong
Lacks an AoE for minion farmng
Irelia is a great champ for quickly getting into a fight, Though slightly squishy she can easily spend a lot of time holding a lane while slicing through enemy champs. Great late game can demolish whole teams with her ultimate. A high attack speed mixed with her true damage and life steal make her a force to be reckoned with.
The best summoner abilities I have found to use are and . Ghost helps me get in or out fast while ignite easily adds a little more burst and a dot to finish encase they some how escape with low health. In three's you will often see me switch out ghost for Which is awesome at adding a bit of survivability and easy kills! Would be the other option all really depends on your play style!
I start out by picking up and 1x . I try to hold my lane at least long enough to pick up both and a grab a or two and hit the lane. Start saving for your With a kill or two you should be able to hold your lane and get this pretty quickly completely purchasing it outright. If they force you to go back pick up a piece or two of it. Build your next. Now your attack speed is up, more run speed you should be owning this game the next items you build could be anything. I generally will try and get some attack damage now but sometimes its necessary to get a defensive items. are all defensive options. and close out this build rather nicely. [Item=Mercury's Treads size=32] do stack with your Passive and if your facing a team with a ton of CC may be an option but really changes the build around since the first dagger would then have to build into Phantom Dancer.
Irelia has a decent amount of burst and is great for burning through squishy champs. When teamed up with a teammate she really shines especially if they have a slow or disable. But team fights should always be approached from the side when ever possible. If you get around their tanks the casters go down rather fast. Use to quickly close the gap followed up by to get your slow(or stun going) by this time they should be about half to 3/4's health will eat through the rest of their health fast with the attack speed you have and the abilities true damage. can be either used while you are chasing or to burst down champs. It should be the first skill you use if your health gets low or your enemy's are in a straight line. It's cool down is rather short I will use it on a line of minions and enemy champ to regen health even during the laning phase to keep me in longer.
Irelia is a fun champ who can really hold her own. This guide fits my aggressive play style. There are many viable builds for Irelia. This is not meant to be a jungling guide though she could easily pull it off. Please make any suggestions in comments. This is a great build for beating through your enemies.. just beware of the dreaded Because this build is based on your regular attacks and the true damage from your
