Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Welcome to my Irelia guide, THE blade!
* Currently has the best melee dps farming ability in the game.
* Has an ability that deals True damage.
* An extremely versatile Ultimate, can be used to harass, heal up, AoE damage for a team fight brewing up.
* She takes crowd control very well without Merc treads.
- Very item dependant.
- An ultimate that Doesnt scale very well.
- Mana costs slightly binds Irelia to either golem buff, mana reserving or buying manamune.
Attack speed marks will help you get more hits off with Hitan style activated.
Mana regen per level seals will help you with mana throughout the game.
Magic resistance per level glyphs will be useful like for any other melee dps, but other runes can do too!
Flat health quintessences is useful for anyone!
What you put in Offense is up to what you prefer, as long as you get those 9 in utility, the neutral buff one is very good.
I went with R>W>Q>E(One in E at lvl 4), because I feel that Q is much more important early on where you need last hits easy. Also, E doesnt scale much with AD.
as the game starts, buy Doran's shield and a health pot, and go to your lane. Try to survive in your lane as long as possible, the pot should keep you up till lvl 6, hopefully. At level 6 you have your ultimate, youll heal alot by throwing the knives down the wave of minions. Recall when you have 2000 gold, and buy both boots and Madred's Razor(Note that if you prefer another set of boots you should add or subtract that from the amount).
The prefered situation after this is you get Madred's Bloodrazor all in one go, but most often, this is not the case, so buy recurve bow over pickaxe. As soon as you have the bloodrazor, this is when it gets hard to counter your damage, because they need health to counter true damage, and they need MR to counter Bloodrazor, and you dont find much of either on the same item.
Now you should get Frozen mallet, it gives survivability, and makes you able to slow without redbuff.
Here you should get a vampiric scepter for later, or you could skip it and buy sheen, then zeal, then finish trinity. afterwards get Bloodthirster, and finish off with banshee's veil.
When you have madred's razor you can easily jungle instead of laning, so you can take blue buff from then on, also red buff and dragon.
A kill does NOT justify a death.
Incase of teamfights you shouldn't run in with the rest of your team, you should join the fight in middle of the confusion, and take out the enemies one by one.
Thats it for my guide :)
Any questions, leave them here :D
