Introduction

Consistently winning games in League of Legends requires a balanced team. Part of that balance is having a support champion on your team. In my opinion, Janna is by far the best champion for fulfilling that role. As a support champion, you may not have the highest K-D ratio, but you will have the highest number of assists on your team (and hopefully one of the lowest number of deaths!), guaranteed. This build will show you the most recommended path to follow when building Janna for supporting your team to victory.

Runes

GREATER MARK OF INSIGHT (x9) If you chose a 0/9/21 mastery build, then these will offer the magic penetration you are lacking.
GREATER MARK OF RESILIENCE (x9) If you chose a 9/0/21 mastery build, then these will offer the armor you are lacking.

GREATER SEAL OF REPLENISHMENT (x9) These will offer you more mana regeneration early game when you really need it as opposed to Greater Seal of Clarity.

GREATER GLYPH OF FOCUS (x9) These will offer you more much-needed cooldown reduction in addition to your masteries and items.

GREATER QUINTESSENCE OF FORTITUDE (x3) These will offer you more health, which in turn offers more survivability. Survivability is usually desirable on any champion, regardless of role.

Masteries

Support champions typically allocate 21 mastery points in the Utility tree. Core masteries in this tree include Intelligence, Quickness, and Meditation. Also, when spending points in the Utility tree, be sure to choose the appropriate summoner spell masteries, such as Mystical Vision and Blink of an Eye.

This leaves you with 9 extra points. Spending them in the Defense tree is usually recommended; however, depending on your preference, you could instead spend them in the Offense tree.

* Depending on your decision, you must adjust your runes accordingly as noted in the previous chapter.

Skill Sequence

MONSOON > EYE OF THE STORM > ZEPHYR > HOWLING GALE

This is the basic order of importance you should be following when placing skill points. However, don't forget to put 1 point into Howling Gale at level 2 for harrassment/escape purposes.
