I see what you're saying. But I feel that the movement speed helps you with harassing and escaping if needed as opposed to Doran's.

Ah yes. The skills. Yet again I see your point. But Counter Strike also does damage. Even though Empower gets +35 damage per level and Counter Strike only +30, Counter Strike is still an AOE spell with bonus +60% of your AP compared to Empower that only gains +40%.

I think a Dorans Blade, or even a Dorans Sheild (after Jax got nurfed early-game) is a better choice. You got your Leap Strike for chasing/running, You don't need that speed at the VERY start. When you recall, you can buy a Ninja Tabi.

I'm not sure, if you should master Counterstrike before Empower. Cause Empower is a nice low-mana skill that you can spamm around even at the start. And Counterstike give you 10% from the 1. point, but only 2% more for each point you spend on it.
