Threats & Synergies
Honestly he can only match your range when he uses his W. At all other times you can poke him for free.Pretty weak early so u should definately go aggresive and trade often ( when he goes for a cs usually). Stay behind minions so you dont get him by his Q. Beware of his late game power spike. No mobility = always follow up on ganks or rush him if he is out of position.
Play aggresive and try to shut him down early. Abuse his shorter range by poking any time when possible with your Zap! and Fishbones! Dont let him stack his E on you. Beware of his invisibility and try to kill him as soon as he shows up in team fight. Expect him to roam a lot and play defensive if you dont see him on your minimap.
Play aggressively in lane against her, because her Volley has a really long cooldown at earlier levels.Also stay behind minions to prevent being hit by it.She has no real escape so once you catch her in cc she is gone. Beware of her ult - dont let it catch u by surprise.
Kai'sa is super strong in the current meta but that kind of goes for mid and past-mid game.Thing is she is not that good in lane. Abuse her pretty short range and poke/trade with her (just be careful with her W as it does a lot of dmg and can easily turn the trade in her favour). Don't be afraid to play aggro against her she doesn't have much mobility . Beware of her damage after the laning face and her ability to assasina ( she is super strong 1v1) at any point of the game.
That's kind of a chill match-up as you don't even have to win your lane - you outscale him insanely hard later into the game so i would usually just play chill and farm in this lane. A good advice i can give would be to push-in the wave a bit just so u have a few more minions than he does - he has poor wave clear - that way he can't really poke you well and you can auto him from behind the minions without taking any damage back.
I admit i hate this one a lot lol . Insane poke insane damage early and basically wont let u farm so what u would want to do is try to get ur jungler to gank. If not u should play passive unless u are able to dodge all of his abilities and jump onto him as they are on cd - he is pretty squishy so if u see such an opening definately take it. Your dodging/kiting skills will play a huge role in this match-up.
DODGE. In all serious though, she's pretty squishy, bursting her down to a recall should be easy. Her E has a long cooldown and can stun if 3 feathers connect. Stay behind/to the side of her feathers and wait for her to use it, then go in for the attack. However she is still pretty high on this list because of her burst and her ultimate that can definately turn the fight in her favour. Beware!
Insanely strong early. Definately wait for your jungler (he is easily gankable as he has no mobility) and try DO NOT EVEN TRADE (even if you lose some cs while keeping a safe distance its worth as long as you dont die).
She has a very short range and is extremely weak early game. That is why i would usually just keep the wave in the middle of the lane and just harass everytime she comes to cs or even trade(she cant win them early game unless u fuck up really bad).Be careful with the jugnler tho. Also don't forget that she gets pretty strong mid game unless she is really behind and and insane monster late game so u should play really aggresive early game and trade/deny her as much as possible.
Lulu is literally the dream support for any hyper carry like Jinx, Vayne , Kog'Maw etc. She is just so good because of her insane protection . Her E synergieses super well with you cos it not only gives a decent shield but a fairy that empowers ur autos which means - dealing more damage. So there u have it - hyper carries without mobility need a good protection so that they can output maximum damage and lulu is the best fit when it comes to protecting something .
The next insane pick for Jinx is Janna. She is honestly not what she used to be before the nerfs but can still provide you with a decent protecting , strong disange and some good cc with her Q and W. So yeah not a bad pick at all but if you are trying to climb i would definately recommend going for Lulu cos Janna is simply not as viable as her in the current meta (8.22).
His Wall makes him a really solid pick as it uses in many situation and can be a vital point for winning any fight . However what sets him apart from Lulu And Janna is that u can go really aggresive in lane with him as his passive just works so well with your minigun . Not to mention that u can easily follow on the stun from his passive with your E and basically get a free kill. So yeah with braum u not only get a decent protection but a great chance of winning the lane as well and getting ahead early . So definately one of the top picks for Jinx .
Good sustain. Good Peel and sick engage. Same as Braum you can go more aggresive and possibly get some kills early with her on lane.
Good peel , Good engage and provides you with escape (his W). He is a pretty aggresive support so keep in mind that his biggest strenght is his engages so try to follow on them. Also has a really good presence in lane and on the map as he is a strong roamer.
Best engage , tons of CC and a great roamer. A great pick for composition. Also provides you with shields = survaivabily. If u want to pick a carry support i would recommend this one for sure just because his engages can have an insane impact on the laning phase and the game in general.
His ult is kind of op and can save u from basically anything. Also aggro supp . Good cc and dmg , provides u with some mobility as well so can definately help u escape tight situations.

Alright so we are starting with the keystone mastery. In my opinion all three options are great but Lethal Tempo has proven to be more effective than the other two .I 've tested it recently(patch 8.17) and from my experience the bonus attack speed is absolutely insane . It just scales amazingly well with your both your Pow-Pow, the Minigun and Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher and also allows you to exceed the attack speed cap. In other words you can be shooting rockes at 3.0 attack speed in the late game which means you will be dealing a disgusting amount of damage so i would go for it in most cases. However, if you are going against several assasins or champions that can burst you pretty quickly in general i would recommend going for Fleet Footwork as the bonus movement speed combined with the extra healing can definately get you out of bad situations so thats your best option if your survival is at stake.
Presence Of Mind
|In most cases you would want to pick Triumph as this thing tends to be pretty good in close fights and the healing comes in handy in team fights as well.Moreover the gold you get per takedown can be a game changer in messy games.A less common option is going for Overheal which i would recommend doing if you are up against a lot of assasins , burst mages , maybe a Draven?Basically if the enemy team has a lot of burst potential go Overheal.|
|This one here is pretty simple .The Attack speed from Legend: Alacrity just works so much better with Jinx's kit than the other two so the only choice possible in my opinion.|
|In general you would want to go for Coup de Grace as it is the most versatile option and will definately be useful in any game versus any opponent.The 7% increased damage you get from it is absolutely terrific and what is more it works insanely well as it helps you finish off enemies which means triggering your passive - Get Excited! and melting the whole enemy team in seconds. However in some cases for example when the enemy team has two or more tanks like a Malphite, Sejuani, Rammus you should absolutely always go for Cut Down as in team fights you will mostly be fighting them because they will be on the front line so you better get rid of them as fast as possible.|
|Celerity gives you a decent movement speed and scales prety well with any movement speed items. Gathering Storm starts off pretty weak but as the game goes on on will definately turn you into a beast with all that extra ad.Honestly I just go Celerity and Gathering Storm 100% of the time.They are just the best option you have so yeah just go with them :P|
|Jinx is a champion who specializes in having both raw damage and very high DPS, but vulnerable to any kind of crowd control. That is why her passive Get Excited! is so important. It just has so many uses it can be used to kite, dodge, run away or just clean the whole enemy team up. It is what makes pushing with jinx a bit safer as she can Get Excited! and get to safety as soon as she has destroyed a turret.|
|Without a doubt her most important ability and her biggest strength is her Switcheroo! and knowing how to use it properly will make a huge impact on your game so here it is. In general you would want to use rockets most of the time especially in team fights for the aoe damage and safe range - they also work great with hurricane. Use Minigun if you need to take a tower/dragon/baron, if you 1v1 somebody, or if you need to focus down 1 target ASAP. For example if you get jumped on by a bruiser in a team fight or a heavy tank like a malphite or sejuani , catch an enemy out of position, or get in an early 2v2 all in and need to get a kill fast to win the fight.|
|Her Zap! is great for harassing and is especially strong in the early game(in lane).Another great use of it is for cancelling auto attacks in a 1v1 or 2v2 situation. I do not recommend using it in teamfights in the late game because you can hit one auto instead of it which will do 2x more aoe damage .|
|Flame Chompers! is a little tricky but yet a very useful ability. I would usually find myself using it defensively for ex. putting them right underneath me as i see that an assasin or a bruiser is about to jump on . In this situation unless you get one shot you will most likely kill them. Of course you cant always just throw them in your champ and expect to work because it prob wont. You have to be a liltle bit smarter with this ability and think of where u will be in about 1.5 sec and put them there.Just honestly try to use them strategicially and if you dont feel threatened by an assasin or anyone killing you in a team fight for instance just throw it in the middle of it so you can snare someone and help your team melt them faster.I think that pretty much covers it just really think about that 1.5 sec as it makes a huge difference.|
|Super Mega Death Rocket!There are two good uses to this ability 1. If you see someone who is low health on the map just risk it and shoot and if u happen to get a kill its super worth . 2. Use it in teamfights in between auto attacks that way you will be able to maximize your damage .Maybe you can try to steal objectives like dragon or baron with it too but in my opinion not worth because it probably wont work (just wanted to mention it).|
Farming is one of the most important aspects of the game because about half of your gold will come from it. And I dont think that we can talk about being a good adc if you are not able to cs properly simply because you need items to be effective . Now if you have watched an lcs game or a few chances are you have probably seen the insane creep score that pro players have such as 320 cs at 30 mins . I am just mentioning this because i want to point out that they dont achieve this by not missing a single minion but by rather controlling the waves properly. So there are three ways of controlling the wave - Slow Push , Fast Push And Freeze. Here is a video from Phy Lol (big thanks to him for making all these awesome guides) that i believe will be very helpful for all of you.P.S It is a bit old but still very good .
Slow PushHow to:To achieve a slow push you just have to kill the three caster minions in a wave and leave it like that. Eventually a huge wave will slowly be built up. I would recommend that u start a slow push from your side of the lane otherwise it wont be as effective.
Usage: So the best usage for this type of wave control is during the mid-late game. For example lets say that you slow push a wave on the top lane . Someone from the enemy team has to go and clean it up. By the time he moves top to do so his team is short on one person which leaves your team with the opportunity to take an objective on the bottom side of the map such as a drake or a bot lane turret while his team cant really do anything left 4v5 and in some cases they would even run into your team and force a fight which will result in an possible team fight win and a potential baron or inhibitor kill for your team.
Usage:As i mentioned earlier this is probably the most useful of all 3 ways to manipulate the wave simply because its great when you are winning the lane and it is also good when you are losing it . If you find find yourself on the winning side simply stay next to the wave and deny your opponent from last hitting . If they still come for a last hit dont hesitate to go for a trade or an all in if possible. If you are losing play it more defensively and just stay near your turret and try to get as many last hits as possible . Dont go for a last hit if you think you will get severely punished for it.
Usage: The whole purpose of this is to deny the enemy gold and experience and give you the upper hand. However dont do this while your enemy is still in lane as they will get all those minions and cs plus if they freeze the wave next to their turret you will be struggling to get cs and you will be open to getting ganked which basically leaves you screwed . So just dont do it.
Even if you dont get fed in the early game thats totally fine your main goal is to manimalize your deaths so you dont fall behind and then wreak havoc in teamfihts as you outscale everyone.While your still in lane play opportunistic with your support. Jinx can easily chain CC with her Flame Chompers! and Zap!, meaning you can easily win trades and pick up kills.
Last tip for the laning phase is to keep the river warded. Jinx is highly immobile and will almost certainly die to ganks (or at least have to burn Flash)
In situastion 1 which is obviously the better option you have won your lane and sieged the bot turret. In the mid game you should roam around lanes and use one of Jinx's biggest strenghts -huge pushing and cleaning power = getting objectives quickly. Once you've won your lane try roaming to mid with your support if you are able to catch the enemy mid laner and kill him push the mid lane turret and bang you are even more ahead. Then you can either get a Dragon or a Rift Herald and then you return to your lane to pick up your farm and instantly aim for a push top (if its not push) or just group mid and try to push or force a fight. If you are fed as Jinx you should always look for a teamfight because thats where you shine the brightest.
In situation 2 you should farm up for items . Try not to fight until you have Stormrazor and Runaan's Hurricane at least. You are not all that strong with them but you should be okay in fights.You should however aim to fight once you get Infinity Edge as this is your power spike. Also try to be their for your team when they need and i know that this is gonna be confusing but just dont let your team struggle as they are getting pressured for towers or objectives because they are in a 4v5 situation , that means prioritize farming over fighting but still dont play like a Nasus player(nothing agaisnt them of course althought it would be nice if they would leave the top lane every now and then :) ) and be there for your team when they need you for objectives.
As a Jinx you will want to use your rockets at almost all times in the team fight. If you see a threat coming your way like a Rengar or a Kha'Zix for an example please
just try to run as far away from them as possible but if there is no way to avoid them you should always use your Flame Chompers! defensively to prevent them from getting to you also if they are in range for Pow-Pow, the Minigun make sure you use it for the higher single target dps.And hope your support helps you out otherwise you die .You should understand that assasin as well as bruisers have one job and it is to get to you and kill you so do your best to try to prevent that from happening. If you feel safe like your support is standing by your side and helping you out or the enemy team has no assasins it might be a bit better to go a little bit more agrresive and throw your Flame Chompers! in the middle of the fight.
As i already said prioritize using your Fishbones, the Rocket Launcher for the safety and aoe damage . Always use your Super Mega Death Rocket! in between your auto attacks for a maximum damage output. Keep in mind that you are playing an immobile adc so you should be extra careful at all times(try to prevent getting hit by hard cc) . So now lets talk a little bit about prioritizing(aka choosing who to attack) in team fights.
In often cases you will be forced to make a choice as the enemy team will have at least two champs on the front line(closest to you) and choosing the correct target to attack in this situation is absolutely crucial.
1. First of all when choosing your priority target you should check out their score farm and most imporantly items. So now lets take an easy scenario for this example , lets say we have a Fiora who is 6/1/1 pretty fed and a Sejuani who is 0/1/4. So who do you focus ? With no hesitation the Fiora is your concern here. And just want to mention that the enemy team's ap and ad carries are the number 1 priority(still it is not your job to rush into them so don't unless you have cleared the front line).
2.So here is the second point to prioritizing and it may overlap what i said in the first in some cases.It is simple attacking the easier to kill/squshier target and we will take the same example lets say the Sejuani has only a 1000hp left and has used her dash to rush into your team which leaves her open as she has no other escape(aside from Flash)
and the Fiora is still full hp approximately 2500 and you know she can be a pain in the *** with her Riposte and Lunge so yeah in that situation you would want to kill the Sejuani as she is going to die a lot easier and it becomes a 5v4 situation for your team which means #winning.
To sum up Jinx is probably my favourite adc as she is super fun . So with this guide I hope you learn how to play Jinx as well as you want to .
