I have play lots of Yi and my main is him. My playing style is Jungle as I think I get most early kills and money from ganking which build toward destructive Yi endgame.

Start with armor, and 5 pots.

Start at two golems, alpha in, instantly pop health pot, and beat them down.
Then go to wraiths, do the same thing... Alpha in, pop health pot.

From this point you should be at lvl 2, see if the enemy team is jungling, if they are [this is my favorite part.] go ahead and check their Blue Golem, most of the time I found WW or fiddle there :) HAHAHAHA First Blood !!! But if no one is there, just go ahead and finish their wolves and B back. If no one is jungling, just go for our wolves, then their golems, their wraiths, and simply B back.

I usually start ganking at 6 if no one is jungling. Alpha in, pop E and R, get a kill or two, then B.
