To start out this build is intended for mid to late game. Playing smart allows this build to work to walk into a team fight and secure/pick up kills. The bonus ap from the items gives you the ability to have high ap power with no need to farm more than you have to. The up side of this build also is no stacks is needed. End game Karthus will hit his/her for a very large amount of damage. As any other player knows, a glass cannon can be countered. Feel free to substitute for hp and spell vamp.
