Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
First i want to welcome you to my first guide.
Oke, here we go!
Mark of the Storm
Your incentive to harass better, and why we ALWAYS will have to pay attention.
THEBESTTHEBESTTHEBEST. Man. I love these guys. Huge range, huge damage, good missile speed, insane cd, great with Rylais. this is probably where a solid 50% of our damage will come from in a standard attack. It checks bushes, it finds stealth. It costs virtually nothing.
Active - The range on this is rediculous. It farms well in combination with Rush, and plays a huge part in stealth detection. I find the damage on this to be secondary to the other effects, and thus will level it last.
Passive - It makes it important to either count or keep an eye on your proc buff. being able to drop a free mark is great.
WEEEEE momma I go so fast look look look! Epic farm, epic chase, epic mark everybody in 50 feet, epic escape. Damage isn't bad either at high levels.
This does epic damage, but there's a catch, it doesn't sustain. Enemies don't seem to know that once they've been in there for 1.5 seconds, they're safe. Use this to your advantage. It's awesome in teamfights, dealing damage all over, but its also epic as defense. Sure you can chase me of my friend, but you're gonna eat lightning bolts!
The runes ar not that expensive in the first place.
Marks: Greater Mark of Insight. Just because you need magic penetration as kennen
Seals: Greater Seal of Potency. At the start of the game u will have some AP
Glyphs: Greater Glyph of Potency. At the start of the game u will have some AP
Quintessences: Greater Quintessence of Potency. These are so OP at the start of the game.
Kennen need flash is amazing to escape and to place your ulti with an higher accuracy, just rush towards a wall and flash. The second spell doesnt make much sense, take what you like.
Pros & Cons
- very fun to play
- good burst potential
- very usefull ult in teamfights
- good on a solo lane
- uses Energy
- can stay in lane for a long time
- the stuns can help your team very much
- quite squishy
- not the best AP scaling
- Due to your Energy you can not always use your skills when the CD is off
- Energy drops fast when you use your abilities in teamfights
Kennen is a very nice solo mid champion. He can farm just as well as any other caster and gets his items a lot quicker if put into mid. Here are some tips if you choose to try mid. I can't give you tips for every champion that gets put mid, but I'll give some general ones that will probably be no brainers to most of you
-Harass when there's an opening
-Last hit minions with your auto-attack or Q
-When you got the cahones to do it (and they aren't too close to their turret), rush in with E and start your combo for what hopefully could be first blood.
-Ask for a gank if getting pushed back too far
-For champions like Sivir who have that damn Ricochet ability, stay back and last hit as needed. Harass when possible
-For champions like Twitch or Teemo...be aggressive. If they're aggressive too, then it's going to be one hell of a showdown in mid :D
-You can try and scare them off by Lightning Rushing them and popping Electrical Surge
