Lee Sin Passive Ability
Introduction
Lee Sin is a Tanky, DPS, Assassin, Fighter adept at dashing in and out of the fight. He relies on energy to fund his abilities meaning that his solo lane presence is very strong. This guide revolves around the deceptive strength of Lee Sin and will show you the reason why I really like the Blind Monk.
For runes I take all the flat Physical Damage I can, substituting 2 Greater Seal of Attack Speed and 3 Greater Quintessence of Desolation. This give me the most damage early game plus the ability to still damage early armor stacking champs.
My masteries revolve around Physical damage increase and attack speed increase in offense, plus 4 points in Sorcery just for some of that CDR which is practically the only restriction on Lee Sin. I also take Death Reduction and Reduced Recall in Utility just for some of those close escape situations. Last it take 3 points in
Swiftness
just because I don't take boots early and movement speed is much needed.
I itemize for survivability and a little bonus damage. I rush Wriggle's Lantern and Frozen Mallet as my core items adding Mercury Treads or Ninja Tabi somewhere in the mix. This gives me the survivability not accounted for in the runes and masteries and the early game damage and some decent lifesteal. After these items I want to analyze the enemy team's composition to buy the items necessary to counter them. In most cases I like to take Bloodthirster due to the fact that Lee Sin can easily stack the item. Trinity Force is something that is really optional on the Blink Monk, it gives really good stats for Lee Sin (besides the mana) and I enjoy the Sheen effect since I like to spam Tempest/Cripple Tempest/Cripple. But this has to be weighed during the game as to whether it is really needed. Phantom Dancer is something that is also optional. I normally take this item if I have some backdooring to do or if I just feel like I need it. Wriggle's Lantern can be later switched out with Guardian Angel or Madred's Bloodrazer, again, depending on the enemy team.
