Introduction to Mini-guide

Hi, I am Ruffnitup, and this is just a short guide to get you started on builds and combos for your new champ, Lissandra, The Ice Witch. To start off, this is my first guide, and there is nothing special about it. It will be very short, sweet, and to the point. This is a guide for Lissandra, not how to play mid lane. Like it if you do, don't like it if you don't.

Note* Both of my 5v5 teams are Bronze V so this may be a case of the blind leading the blind hahaha
Use at your own risk!!!

Pros and Cons

Pros-Extremely fun to play
-Descent escape
-Great for ganks (teleport-root-slow)
-OP Ultimate
-LOL what's a gank?... Ring of Frost Glacial Path... nuff said

Cons-Mana hungry
-Kinda squish early, but hey, you're an AP carry, you're supposed to be squish
-Early level cooldowns are painfully long
-Range is fairly short

Abilities and Combos

Safest poking is Ice Shard off of a minion with shattered ice hitting the champion
You can also directly hit the enemy champion with Ice Shard, but it isn't recommended due to short range

Under extreme circumstances you can poke with your Glacial Path, however, it isn't advisable because of the long cooldown and it is your only means of escape.

Escaping Ganks

Glacial Path is your best friend. Try to keep it saved to thwart gank attempts.

For a guaranteed getaway cast Glacial Path in one direction and walk in the other. If they follow Lissandra then reactive Glacial Path and walk the other way. If they follow Glacial Path just keep walking.

Ring of Frost Glacial Path is a good combo if they are already on top of you.

Lane Phase Farming
Auto-attack -> Ice Shard -> Auto-attack

Full creep wave late game farm
Glacial Path from front to canon minion -> Glacial Path again to tele -> Ring of Frost -> Ice Shard

Killing and Team Fighting

Bread and Butter for early ganks and solo kills
Glacial Path-> Glacial Path to champion -> Ring of Frost -> Auto-Attack -> Ice Shard

Late game team fight
Glacial Path-> Glacial Path into enemy team -> Frozen Tomb on self -> Ring of Frost -> Ice Shard highest priority or lowest health target

Crushing the fed enemy carry
Glacial Path-> Glacial Path into enemy team -> Frozen Tomb on enemy carry -> Ring of Frost -> Ice Shard on fed enemy carry

Kamikaze diversionFor Experts Only
Glacial Path-> Glacial Path into enemy team -> Self-cast Frozen Tomb -> Ring of Frost -> Zhonya's Hourglass -> Pat your ADC on the back over his Penta-kill or realize you have a bad ADC and Flash to safety -> Ice Shard to slow -> Ice Shard again if you need to -> Glacial Path Glacial Path over a wall.
