Hello and welcome to my awesome Ryze guide of extreme fun and adventure!
I'm not saying this is the best Ryze build but it sure is fun
This is my first guide on MOBAfire so please be gentle :)

I might add a serious (boring) Ryze build if you guys ask for it in the comments

For runes I take:
9xGreater mark of insight

For magic pen because magic pen is goooooood.

9xGreater seal of Replenishment

Because we need spells to do damage, and if we run out of mana we can't cast spells.

9xGreater glyph of intellect

Because on Ryze mana = damage

3xQuintessence of Intellect

Same as glyphs


You could go for Mana seals and mana marks but I find this better.
You can also exchange flat mana quints for magic pen.
Or go mana per level for stronger lategame

Pretty standard caster masteries but going for Expanded Mind for the extra mana and Blink of an Eye in the utility tree and Improved exhaust in the offense tree

Now this is where it gets interesting.
I start with a Sapphire Crystal for more early game damage.
Then after I get enough gold I get my Tear of the Goddess and tier one boots.
After that I get Sorcerer's Shoes and then just max out my inventory with Tear of the Goddess
Then comes the expensive part, you should have enough mana (I hope) so it's time to get some AP to go with it. Get an Archangel's Staff whenever you have the money (but not when your team is downing baron or in a 4v5 teamfight (duh))

Frankly because I feel that the Ryze ult sucks. The only positive thing it haves is faster creep farming. But this guide isn't about creep farming it's about pwning people in a single combo and laughing at their QQ

I don't recommend this guide in ranked or high ELO. But if you have some spare time and decide to have some fun (in a game?, OMGWTFBBQ) then I recommend you try out this guide and watch the enemy team rage at your extreme supremacy and awesomeness
