Introduction

Hi all, my first build... I've only just started using Lux, but I've found a nice AP build can set up great burst damage (Double rainbow!! Finales FunkelnLazers) as well as protect against a ****load of damage with her Prismatic Barrier. Also, the damage output of her other skills I found were nothing to sneeze at.

Putting some Magic Penetration allows Lux to 2-3 shot many squishies and set up Tanks for serious gankage (and taking their HP down considerable amount). The skill order should be changed up a bit depending on both the enemy and you own team. For example, taking Prismatic Barrier over Light Binding when you have potential to push towers early, as it allows for an extra hit to be taken before you need to get out.

Any way, let's get into it!

Runes

Being newish to rune specializing, I am just going for AP, mixed ( Greater Glyph of Ability Power Greater Quintessence of Ability Power - Flat; and Greater Seal of Scaling Ability Power - Increasing) as this gives a decent early-mid AP and increases to be slightly more than flat AP characters.
The Greater Mark of Magic PenetrationMagic Penetration runes help with maximizing Damage potential.

If you have any comments about this I'd be happy to try some others :)

Masteries

Go through AP and CDR masteries to get to Spell Penetration, once again, to help deal Max damage with Lazers, Bindings and Singularities.

Haste allows for (slightly) more rapid moving around (slightly) more often, BUT THIS IS STILL VERY USEFUL. :) As for Health/Mana Regen, who doesn't need Mana regen :D Especially as Lux. Awareness is especially useful as Lux, since the earlier you get your DOUBLE RAINBOW- ahem, I mean... (icon=Finales Funkeln size=19)Finales Funkeln, the better.

More CDR and Mana regen really help Lux (and Lux's enemies) shine, especially once she grabs the Archangel's Staff. Quickness and CDR for summoner spells also helps with those getaways and getting Clarity back up for laning forever.

Finally, grabbing Insight is 100% a team maneuver, and I found it useful as I lane with a Xin Zhao a lot and he really appreciates the massive mana boost.

Items

Alright, that Doran's Ring allows for Lux to get some beautiful stats right from square 1. No, you can't take potions, but that shouldn't be too bad, as Lux shouldn't take too much damage anyway ;). From there, the Boots are almost a necessity, since Lux's move speed is pitiful. I really enjoy Kage's Lucky Pick, since it is one of only a couple of items that will actually pay for itself (after a lo-ong time).

Then: AP Stacking. When building up Rabadon's Deathcap, go for the Needlessly Large Rod first, and don't be afraid, if necessary, to sell your [Doran's Ring]] for the cash to help you get over the edge (But if you don't need to: Don't until you either need the space, or the cash).

I personally think that if you're managing to escape just fine, don't worry about the Sorcerer's Shoes until later, as Lich Bane coupled with Lux's Passive Illumination makes people cry in rage when you combine a Light Binding with an Auto-Attack. Also, consider taking the Void Staff earlier if facing Magic Resistance stackers.

To Be Continued...

I will update when I have time. But for now, enjoy and if you have any comments, I am all ears.
