Welcome to my first build with Malzahar.

SKILL SEQUENCE AND BEGINNING

At the beginning, I start with dorans ring. Going mid-lane is recommended. My tactic is to gain life through the visions. This ability should be first on lvl 5.
You have the choice to skill call of the void and null zone 1 and then call of the void to 5 til champion lvl 18 or skill both same.
In my opinion null zone is secondary, but powerful in combination with nether grasp, specialy against high life enemys.
Call of the void is nice to disturb the enemy on the lane, but shouldnt be spammed at the beginning, because of mana costs.


SUMMONER SPELLS

There's nothing best choice. I use ghost and exhaust to follow and slow down enemys after team-fights.

Ignite is very special for malza in combination with malefic visions.

Flash is also nice, because you can use it to avoid enemys coming mid from bot or top lane.

Clearity is non-recommended, because you got passive mana regen from the visions.
And if you already got archangel's staff and maybe mana buff, you will be rarely out of mana.

The other spells are not good with malz and not so efficiently.


ITEMS CHOICE

As said, hextech gunblade is important to gain life.
Magic penetration with sorcerer's shoes should be clear, but also cooldownreduction is good.
Archangel's staff is your main mana source.
Rylai's crystal cepter is nice: giving some life to survive and slow down with malefic visions is evil.
Rabadon's deathcap is also a core item for main ability power.
