Introduction

This is my personal opinion on how to play Dr. Mundo. Keep in mind this is still a work in progress that can be tweaked freely to find the best play style for you. This is my first guide so I hope you all enjoy! I will try to keep it updated frequently. I appreciate constructive criticism and would like any good recommendations to perfect this guide. My respects to Adonikam, his guide was my original basis on Dr. Mundo.

First Off

I'm slowly adding on to this guide the more I play Dr. Mundo and the more advice I feel I should share. First off, there is no such thing as a BAD champion! There are BAD players though. Hopefully if you are using guides you are at least attempting to become a skilled player. The reason I bring this up is because some people will say Dr. Mundo is a "bad" champion. This is simply not true. Dr. Mundo is indeed a challenging hero though, giving him the illusion of being BAD. With strong motivation and practice, Dr. Mundo can be mastered like every other champion.

Logic Behind Dr. Mundo

I've noticed from other guides that Dr. Mundo is displayed as a meet shield with high health regeneration and an unlimited supply of throwing cleavers. Well...he is...sort of. Dr. Mundo, unlike many champions, focuses on multiple stats with almost equal importance. His attack spells are AP, but his devastating attack speed, physical damage, and survivability from his unreal movement speed and high health/health regeneration make him just about a true jack of all trades. He can harass well with his cleavers and push towers like there is no tomorrow for his opponents. He really does what he pleases. I will go into more detail on each aspect of Dr. Mundo in the future, along with my reasoning behind each.

Items

When the game starts, you should buy a Regrowth Pendant so you can spam your cleavers while not eating away your health early game and a health pot in case you start getting harassed. Then get a Vampiric Scepter so you can use Masochism to increase your damage (therefore increasing your life steal while the spell is active) and life steal your health back from the minions by spamming Masochism. Boots of speed is an obvious next choice, to get a little bit of extra speed, so you can chase enemies down and run from being ganked. After, upgrade your life steal with Emblem of Valor to help you get your health up quicker, and it also benefits your teammates with the health regeneration aura. Boots of Mobility is great to have with Dr. Mundo because his speed is a tremendous advantage (I will elaborate on this later). Next, Recurve Bow is great to have to increase that semi slow attack speed so you can start doing some real damage. Then go ahead and combine your Emblem of Valor with Recurve Bow to make a Stark's Fervor. Up next is Zeal, an amazing item for Dr. Mundo. It increases your attack speed, critical strike chance, and of course the great movement speed. Later, you can turn it into Phantom Dancer. By then you should be so strong offensively that you can go ahead and get Warmog's Armor to overkill on your health and health regeneration. Then I personally like Force of Nature for the health regeneration and movement speed but you can really get what ever you want here (like a Guardian Angel). I hope this clears up any questions on the item build and if you have any thoughts/suggestions/questions please feel free to let me know.
