His root on his w can be really bad for you. He is stronger than you in early game and lane, but you will always out damage him in team fight. So try to play passive until then.
Vayne
Vayne outscales you and can still out damage you early game. Really game matchup.
Draven
Our favorite gladiator abuses your weak early game. You do outscale him really hard so hug your tower or tilt him ;).
Tristana
She is Aphelios' worst matchup since she outscales him with her passive and can 100-0 him early if she gets a full stack e.
Ashe
Pick cleanse and watch your positioning since she can punish it heavily. Except that, she is not much of a threat.
Caitlyn
Caitlyn bullying is fairly sustainable since severum will keep you healthy and calibrum lets you trade back. If you dodge her e, you win any fight against her.
Ezreal
Annoying nuisance but as long as he does not get a full combo on you, he is not much of a threat. Skill matchup.
Jinx
You just outscale her and have better laying and laning. Lethal Tempo is better against her than conqueror.
Kai'Sa
You outscale her and you can actually win lane early with calibrum poke. Watch out if she gets a lead cause she snowball heavily and will be able to one shot you.
Kalista
Do not let her get close and you win.
Miss Fortune
Her lane bully ways are very annoying and she can one shot you later with a simple auto-Q-auto. Give her respect !
Samira
Samira is kind of all or nothing, a good samira will destroy you but there are very few. Try to bait out her w and abuse the cooldown to win lane.
Senna
She wins early and outscales you but is in a pretty bad spot right now explaining why she is not a major threat.
Sivir
Is just not much of a threat to aphelios. Just watch that she does not shield your ultimate.
Twitch
Cheese is the only thing he has on you since you out damage him.
Varus
A good Virus is always pain just watch out to not get kitted to hard. If you get in range you have better damage.
Xayah
Skillmatchup, watch out for her feathers.
Alistar
His flash q, w backward garanties a kill on you at anytime of game. Hold on to your flash key, you"ll need it !
Bard
Entirely depends on the skill of the Bard but as general rule watch out for his q and be vary of his auto's slow.
Blitzcrank
He reaches you, you die. Simple but deadly.
Leona
Her heavy cc and tankiness make her the perfect threat, to the immobile champion Aphelios is.
Lucian
His ability to burst you at any points of the game is extremely dangerous.
Malphite
His ultimate is a death sentence to you.
Morgana
If her q hits you, you can start making your testament because the only thing that is coming to you is death.
Nautilus
His r makes it so he is sure to cc you and his q hitbox is making him an major threat to you. Try to not be his target and you can get through it.
Pyke
His mobility, cc, and damage make your life impossible. If you dodge his q, you have a chance but a good pyke will not miss their opening.
Zyra
Your immobility makes it difficult to dodge her R. Her poke really adds up and your lack of mobility makes it so you don't present a real danger to her.
Nami
Punish her if she goes too much forward but watch out for bubble since it is the biggest threat she poses.
Maokai
Keep your distance from him and watch for the bushes. His unavoidable cc makes him a major threat. Once he gets on you, you will not have a good time.
Swain
You just can't stay in his ultimate If you get hit by his e or any cc, he will burst you down. You win if you watch out for both of these cooldowns.
Thresh
S+ synergy. The lantern gives you the mobility you lack and gives you space to maneuver with his cc. If you want to duo, I advise you do this duo.
Leona
Aphelios likes to play with cc support so Leona works well with him
Lulu
Her super utility lets you play more aggressively and make plays you would not be able to do otherwise.
Yuumi
Go conqueror and you can pull some crazy plays with all the healing you'll get. Think about secondary resolve for bone platting and revitalize.
Alistar
once again Aphelios like cc support so the cow can help. But Alistar can't roam as much because of Aphelios lack of mobility limiting his potential.
Soraka
Soraka can keep you alive and heavily impact lane giving you all you need to get to your 2nd item spike.
Braum
One of the only champs capable of saving and protecting you making for your lack of mobility. Stand behind Braum !
