Master Yi Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Well, this is my first time making a build on Mobafire.com so please comment and rate! I at first thought about Master Yi when starting this build and this is truly a build I love because It is easy to kill people early game and late.
Pros / Cons
Master Yi has increased AD thanks to Wuju Style.
He cannot be targeted by using Alpha Strike.
Meditation heals him for the cost of a little Mana.
He has insanely increased Movement and Attack Speed thanks to highlander.
Excellent 1v1 Champion.
Vulnerable to ganks.
Crowd Control is a sure death if in a gank.
So for the runes, there are multiple marks, glyphs, seals, and quintessences that I showed above. I prefer the Greater Mark of Desolation and Greater Quintessence of Desolation over the others, but if you think that you don't need Desolation because they have no tanks or you think that you have enough Armor Penetration from Last Whisper or Axe of Despair then go for it. I concluded that dodging attacks as Master Yi is good because he is too squishy to risk the damage so I took a Greater Seal of Evasion, but if you think that you are too squishy and think the Evasion is not enough Dodge Chance then get Greater Seal of Defense. Lastly, for the Glyphs, I thought that Cooldown Reduction is important even though you have Highlander, because in early game you don't have highlander yet and so you need to play defensively unless you can kill them of course. Also, if you are Kill Stealed while in Highlander, or if you did not kill the enemy while Highlander is active, the Cooldown Reduction will help shorten Highlander's Cooldown. Either of the Cooldown Reduction Glyphs are fine, but i prefer Celerity because you get a much larger bonus after Level 13. That's all for Runes.
i know it seems expensive, but at mid or late game, it'll be worth the gold. I start of with the Boots just because you already have an Ad boost from Wuju Style. Then after you have the Berserker's Greaves, you should get some Life Steal from Emblem of Valour to survive a little longer. After that, you can start buying Zeal and when you have enough, buy Phantom Dancer. Next, save up for Stark's Fervor. Next, save up for Infinity Edge, it was pretty easy for me because i was fed compared to my team. Directly after that, you want something that helps you against tanks so Madred's Bloodrazor to cut off their life quickly. Last is Axe of Despair for that important small boost of AD, Armor Penetration, and AS.
These are just some items I might use in early, mid, or late game. In early or late game, if you do extremely well at killing and assisting, you can get Sword of the Occult. Another situation is maybe when they have a lot of tanks with armor, you should get Last Whisper for sure and maybe even Youmuu's Ghostblade for extra Armor Penetration. Sometimes, you find yourself to be very squishy, well in this case get Frozen Mallet, Warmog's Armor, or Leviathan for some extra Health.
I really have not much to say, just you need the AD from Wuju Style, the harrasment from Alpha Strike, and the AS and MS from Highlander ASAP.
If you think that its weird to get Exhaust and Ignite, then change it to either Ghost or something else, but Exhaust is for survivability and slowing down enemies while Ignite is for early game assistance and late game last hits as well as possible Kill Stealing.
This is my first build so it is a little short, but please comment and rate. Hope you like it!
