Morgana AP Support

Summoner Spells
Flash is the most important summoner spell which is an indispensable, you cannot not take it, you can use it to save your life or to protect someone on receiving damage, or also to engage a fight.

Exhaust is used against the player that deal huge damage most are adc to slow their attack speed, attack damage and movement speed.

Ignite its a good summoner spell to pick it up, its strongly recommanded for morgana to destroy the enemy adc and reduce their incoming heals with her combo of Soul Shackles, Dark Binding, Tormented Shadow followed with Ignite its a good combo of an all in.

Arcane Comet

: As Morgana is good to poke with her ability W Tormented Shadowthis rune is Good to poke and a 100% works with her ability Q Dark Binding because targhet is rooted and can't dodge the Arcane Comet.




Nimbus Cloak

: is very good to have Nimbus Cloak after your ultimate cast you can go forward to over walk the enemy ADC because your ultimate has short Radius so with Nimbus Cloak you can use your ultimate Soul Shackles to boost your movement speed then you can root the target enemy with your Dark Binding either you can use it to save your self that movement speed boost will help you to go far away during its time.




Transcendence

: Gain 10% Cooldown reduction at level 10, yes this will help you more to get your abilities ready faster because your shield Black Shield is reason to protect during fights protect your self or team mate.




Scorch

: Scorch is a great rune pick for morgana which it burn the enemy and its working good with the ability W Tormented Shadow and item Liandry's Torment.

Biscuit Delivery

: its a good potion that gives you some mana and regenrate your health and increase your mana.




Cosmic Insight

: i'm addicted to the cool down reduction and i always try to reach the max CDR in game so with this run you earn more CDR as its also good to reduce early your E Black Shield CDR.

Soul Siphon

(Passive): Innate: Morgana restores health equal to 20% of ability damage dealt to champions, large minions and large monsters.

Note : Soul Siphon healing will not apply on Morgana's damage dealing item effects.


Dark Binding
(Discription:) Active: Morgana releases a sphere of dark magic that travels in a line, dealing Ability power magic damage to the first enemy hit and Root icon rooting them.




Tormented Shadow
(Discription:) Morgana infects the target area for 5 seconds, causing enemies who stand on the location to take magic damage every half second, increased by 0% − 50% (based on target's missing health) Tormented Shadow's cooldown is reduced by 5% whenever Soul Siphon Soul Siphon triggers.


Notes : Tormented Shadow's first tick occurs as soon as Morgana casts.
Damage from multiple Tormented Shadows do not stack.



Black Shield
(Discription:) Active: Morgana shields the target allied champion for up to 5 seconds, absorbing magic damage and rendering her target immune to all Stun icon crowd control while the shield holds.


Notes : Black Shield has no cast time and does not interrupt Morgana's previous orders.
Unlike Spell Shield Spell Shields Black Shield will only negate crowd control effects Wall of Pain slow but not its magic resistance reduction) before any magic damage is absorbed (even if Black Shield is broken by an enemy spell its associated disables will not apply).
As such, a leona dash Zenith Blade or Thresh Death Sentence will not cc the shielded target, but will allow Thresh to activate the dash-to-target effect of his ability.
Black Shield will always take priority over regular shields but, if used in conjunction with Hexdrinker or Sterak's Gage Lifeline, the most recently-applied one will do so.
Black Shield will not negate self-inflicted disables Junkyard Titan Overheat Silence icon silence).



Soul Shackles
(Discription:) Active: Morgana unleashes the full force of her Celestial power as she unbinds her wings and hovers above the ground. She lashes chains of dark pain onto nearby enemy champions, gaining movement speed towards them. The chains slow and deal initial damage and, after a delay, stun those who are unable to break them..

Notes : Soul Shackles cannot be interrupted by crowd control and will persist throughout Zhonya's Hourglass Stasis, Guardian Angel passive, and Chronoshift revival.
Spell Shield will only block the initial damage, not the damage that occurs if the target didn't leave the her range.

Redemption : this is a standard item that it provide to you good sustain, CDR, some heal and base heal and mana regeneration as its very cheap item to buy it early which it will help you to poke enemy with your Tormented Shadow.
Ardent Censer : this is a standard item that it provide to you some ability power, CDR and mana regeneration as its passive provide you good movement speed and increase your shield power.
Shurelya's Reverie : this is an optional pick item it provide to you some ability power,some health CDR and mana regeneration and movement speed its active is strong gives you and your team movement speed for 3sec.
Liandry's Torment : this is a strong and a must have it in your build as it gives you good HP & ability power add its passive works perfectly with your W Tormented Shadow.
Rylais : this item is an optional you can have it to increase your Hp and carry some AP damage and benefit from its passive slow down the movement speed of your enemis which it works easy for you with Tormented Shadow or Soul Shackles.
Zhonya's Hourglass : there is no AP champion that doesnt buy this item but you can also drop it but its good for the team fight to use it with your Soul Shackles as it provide to you some damage ability power, and armor and CDR.
Luden's Echo : the Luden's Echo is a good item that gives to you good mana and ability power and some CDR as its passive stack also helps on wave clearing or to poke enemy team with it like Statikk Shiv hit with thunders, Luden's Echo explode dealing damage to 4 targets.
Lich Bane : this is another optional pick item, as it gives movement speed, mana, CDR and good ability power and it has good passive that can work with your abilities.
Banshee's Veil : Banshee is 2 in one its the best item that it gives high magic resistance as it gives also good ability power and CDR add its passive that it protect you from the first ability against you.
Frozen Heart : when i want to get quickly 30%CDR with the Eye of Frost i go for it as it gives good Armor and high mana, which it helps me to poke more and decrease damage from enemy ADC.
Rabadon's Deathcap : when you buy this item you gonna be scary to everyone, this is the item that it gives high ability power with its passive that increase all your ability powers by 40%
Void Staff : the last but not the least, this is what you need to break the enemy magic resistance, a good pick against Tanks.

Morgana plays a dirty support, She's powerful enough to hold lanes alone and can almost be a backup carry in the bottom lane, but don't gold-starve your squishier carry friends that can finish kills in seconds.

Morgana is a poke and sustain champion and just doesn't burst like a true carry until the very late game. As you improve, she can basically stop ganks in their tracks.

Overall I tend to play her as an AP mage to deal damage as well as CC & shielding. Building support items seems really weak and hinders her damage potential.

Morgana supports is able to keep damage away from her team (and herself naturally), and dishing out tons of damage if Played well.
you should use Tormented Shadow to shove lane and get the gold at the same time, wait until minions crash into each other then when enemy adc starts hitting minions aim your Tormented Shadow the way that it can hit both minions and him.

If you have the mana, you can still use your Tormented Shadow to just get some gold, try to use it to push the wave as well (which most of the time you will want to Morgana benefits from a pushing lane quite a bit, as it allows her to fish for binds and shores up her weakness to poke, while still being able to avoid ganks quite easily).

You can get 2 or 3 procs at times if you hit both or they stay in it for 1.25 seconds, For sure mana has priority, if you have enough mana and you can't auto at the time, using Tormented Shadow is still good but don't over do it.

You max Black Shield second because having it on a lower cooldown is very important and the extra shield strength helps.

If you go for a damage build I would max Black Shield second. But otherwise your teammates should be able to wave clear without you.

You only use in clutch moments as long as your Black Shield is weak yes, But having a strong shield ( e levels, AP, shield strength) is valuable and you can use it more often and to block AP damage.

Honestly Black Shield max second is probably just better. Your spell shield is pretty much nothing at rank 1, and without gold you're not really a major damage threat. Any good bind with proper follow up should be summs or a kill, and the extra bit of damage is often negligible.

If you max Black Shield second and build some AP, the shield is actually quite good. It should be able to hold against pretty much any magic damage an ADC + tank support can muster up, and your ADC shouldn't really be in range of their mid lane mage anyway (if they are, they're often straight up killed by damage, not CC breaking through the shield).

First off I'd like to say that building at least some AP is often correct, so you make your shield actually useful.

Tanky morgana is cool there are fewer cases where I'm not building at least some AP, That being said, be flexible in your build paths.

Morgana has the benefit of being able to build anything from Enchanter support items to Tank support items to Full AP, and can even mix and match them.

The AP alternative to that is Liandry's Torment or Rylai's Crystal Scepter Locket of the Iron Solari Liandry's Torment and Rylai's Crystal Scepter gives you nice AP, health, and Locket of the Iron Solari. Problem with this second one is lack of CDR.

I never buy Mercury's Treads, and almost never buy Ninja Tabiunless I absolutely have to.
The best boots for morgana are Boots of Mobility and Ionian Boots of Lucidity she excels at making picks, so either get Boots of Mobility to roam, or Ionian Boots of Lucidity for more opportunities in lane/team fights, If you go for absolute AP damage so Sorcerer's Shoes is best pick for you.

Zhonya's Hourglass is expensive and overrated, As a support most of the time you don't want to Flash in and Soul Shackles, So unless the enemy team is mostly AD with a Zed, I very rarely get it, And even She doesnt build that much health anyways

laning phase tend to be over by Lv.9 and maxing Tormented Shadow accelerates the pushing power + easier bind when they defend turrets.

Morgana Black Shield is her strongest spell and probably one of the most broken spells in the game, the reason you max 2nd because it gets shorter cd
Followup to the second point.
I never expect the shield to last that long as any AP damage will just scrape the shield off.
you should cast Black Shield to protect your carries from cc's, if enemy team doesn't have dangerous cc that can reach your adc then cast it to your tanks
Build order: Her Tormented Shadow is really useless unless she has a decent amount of AP.
So my core build order is : Eye of the Watcher Sorcerer's Shoes when ahead, Ninja Tabi when behind Redemption then Zhonya's Hourglass
Pros tip: always Eye of the Watchers Boots of Mobility on supports why? its cheap, it helps you get in the position to lay your cc, movement speed helps while warding, allows you to roam pretty well, then build Redemption, Locket of the Iron Solari, Zhonya's Hourglass if the game still goes on build Void Staff or Liandry's Torment if they dont have a tank.


AP Support morgana's pivotal role is lane control. Late game, you'll often find yourself wandering into lanes to clear out minion rushes while the rest of the team is holding mid.
When players begin wandering, controlling unoccupied lanes becomes very important, so Zz'Rot Portal is a helpful option. It lets you leave lanes unattended so you can assist other lanes.
Near teammates in team fights, land Dark Binding& Tormented Shadow and have Dark Binding/ Black Shield ready again to prevent ganks.
Zhonya's Hourglass active and Soul Shackles is a powerful combo but hard to time, Even if your timing is poor, the stats on Zhonya's Hourglass are a huge asset.
