Aatrox Can be a pain in the ass for you if he's jungler is ganking a lot. Otherwise, just harass him a lot and keep an eye on the map.
Draven Like most adc's, just use your passive, then 2 AA+blind, he's dead. don't forget to mush EVERYWHERE, stand still, wait for it.. HIM to come, and kill him, easy.
Tryndamere Harass, deny, farm etc. Kill him, and use your sprint to get out of his spinning thing, and dodge his slow-thing by facing him. He cant hit you while he's blind.

Introduction (+myself)

Hi guys! First of all, i'm a french player, and i know what everybody says about french player! Anyways, i think it's a great guide if you're not sure about how to play the squirrel.

He's a strong toplaner if you know how to be annoying. Just harass, poke, put some mush, and you'll be fine ! Don't forget to push your lane, and then roam, help your team w/e, you'll be a pain in the ***.

Just saying, this is my way to play Teemo, you can do what you want with him, there is plenty of guides for him ! And it's my first guide, please comment it and help me to improve it.

Summoner Spells - [Work in Progress]

Ignite is a powerful summoner, it allows you to secure your kills at early lvl's, and it's true damage. Synergies well with Teemo's damage over time.

As a toplaner, Teleport can be good if you want to secure objective (dragon, turrets) or help your team, or just go back to your lane quickly after an early back. I usually pick Ignite, but it's up to you.

Well, Flash is a powerful summoner. It gives you mobility and escape. It's an nice alternative if you don't want Teleport.

Barrier is perfect against high-burst champion such as LeBlanc or Ahri. Pick it if you're not sure to use your ignite / want to stay alive.

Exhaust is a powerful anti-burst spell. Exemple : Zed is ulting you? Use Exhaust to reduce his damages by 50%.

Heal is not good enough for Teemo top imo, you'll be versus strong AD toplaner (or AP) but they'll all take Ignite so your heal will be 50% less effective. Barrier is better.

It's only situational, don't forget it.

+ Easy to play, really funny
+ Awesome passive ( camouflage)
+ Your Noxious Trap and spells synergies well with Liandry's Torment for EPIC amount of damage.
+ He's cute.


- Really squishy early game (and late)
- Vulnerable to CC
- Easy to gank / No "escape"
- Hard to carry with
- You can be flame'd just by playing him
- Can be spotted by Vision Ward and Oracle's Lens

Mastery Explanations

My 21/0/9 is awkward, yeah, i know. I just want : Spell Weaving , Dangerous Game , and Blade Weaving . It's really strong. Lots of kill potential at early lvl's.

You can out-pass them and just rush Devastating Strikes and Havoc , and take (on Utility) : Fleet of Foot, Phasewalker and Alchemist to rush cookies Culinary Master . It's your choice, strong AP/kill potential or a little bit more of sustain ! I'm not crazy about those ******** cookies, really.

You can also pick what you want, as long as you take the "must-have".Build what you want, seriously. If you don't like cookie, take another perk, your choice.


Sorcery - 5% free CDR. Always a nice perk.

Mental Force - free AP? Need. Feast gives you a little bit of sustain, quite good.

Spell Weaving - Everything you need as an AP carry.

Arcane Mastery - Free AP AGAIN? Yay. Executioner This perk makes easier to get kill, take it.

Blade Weaving - Everything you need with Teemo. Mush/Q-spell will proc it.

Archmage - Oh god, free AP. <3.

Dangerous Game - With this perk, you'll survive and ending Ignite ! 100% necessary.

Devastating Strikes - Armor and magic pen, you need those things.

Havoc - +3% damage, it's fine, take it.


Phasewalker - Well we need 5 points so, take it. It's kinda useful.

Fleet of Foot - It's a free Move Speed Quints ! Nice perk.

Meditation - Some mana regen, not very necessary but hell, it's not that bad.

Alchemist - More health/mana refill with pots, nice.

Culinary Master - COOKIES BRO, COOKIES. OP****. I really love my cookies. Must have. :3

x3 Greater Quintessence of Ability Power Because you're an AP Carry and you need Ap. Your Toxic Shot will be stronger in early game, your Q-spell aswell, and later on : Allll of your spells, seems logic.

x1 Greater Quintessence of Cooldown Reduction More CDR = More shrooms, Q-spell. Your call ! (x1 CDR Quint + x2 Attack Speed Quint)

x2 Greater Quintessence of Attack Speed More AS = More AA, again bro, your call ! You have to make a choice here.

x5 Greater Seal of Armor Because you'll be like 80% of time against AD toplaner, you really need some armor to stay in lane and harass/kill your opponent, take advantage and win your lane.
x4 Greater Seal of Health It gives you more hp pool, you can be more aggressive at early lvl's.
Greater Glyph of Cooldown Reduction ! Really good actually, think about it : it's 10% FREE CDR, +5% from masteries so 15% at lvl 1, it's f*cking good. Take 'em if their is no strong AP carry against you. Otherwise, MR runes!
Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration Greater Mark of Hybrid Penetration Your Toxic Shot, Noxious Trap and Blinding Dart are AP, you're auto-attack are AD. You'll hit stronger !

camouflage If Teemo stands still and takes no action for 2 seconds, he becomes stealthed. Taking any action or taking damage will break his camouflage, also Teemo gains Element of Surprise.

- Camouflage will not trigger as long as Teemo is taking damage.
- Once stealthed taking damage will not deactivate the stealth.
- Forced movement effects like Alistar's Pulverize, Anivia's Crystallize and Trundle's Pillar of Ice will count as movement and deactivate the stealth.
+ Can be spotted by a Vision Ward.

InvisibThis spell is a powerful ambush skill. Put some mush around you, stand still, and wait for someone to face-check. If he hit one mush, you just have to jump on him and get a free kill.

Obscures an enemy's vision with a powerful venom, dealing 80 / 125 / 170 / 215 / 260 (+80% of ability power) magic damage to the target unit, blinding them and causing all their attacks to miss for 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 / 2.5 seconds.

InvisibThis is your main harass-spell. At early lvl's, wait 'til your enemy's gonna last-hit, then Q + as much as auto-attack you can. If he cant last-hit, and he cant just get close enough to poke you, he's toplane is lost. Really annoying spell. Max it second, imo.

Passive: Teemo's Movement Speed is increased by 10 / 14 / 18 / 22 / 26% unless he has been damaged by an enemy champion or turret in the last 5 seconds.
Active: Teemo sprints, gaining twice his normal bonus for 3 seconds. This bonus is not lost when struck.

InvisibThis is your escape and your go-in spell. When you're jungler is close enough to gank, sprint up and attack ! Use it to get out of a bad situation, long cooldown & low mana cost. Max it last, imo.

Each of Teemo's attacks will poison the target, dealing damage on impact and each second after for 4 seconds.
Teemo's basic attacks poison their target, dealing 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50 (+30% Ability Power) magical damage upon impact and 6 / 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 (+10% Ability Power) magical damage each second for 4 seconds.

InvisibWell, this is your main f*cking spell. It's a passive, so it's applied to your auto-attacks. It doesn't stack, your AA will just refresh it. Use it to harass-poke-take down peoples. Max it first, imo!

Teemo places an explosive poisonous trap using one of the mushrooms stored in his pack. If an enemy steps on the trap it will release a poisonous cloud, slowing enemies and damaging them over time.

Uses a stored mushroom to place a trap that detonates if an enemy steps on it, spreading poison to nearby enemies that slows movement speed by 30 / 40 / 50% and deals 200 / 325 / 450 (+50% Ability Power) magic damage over 4 seconds. Traps last 10 minutes. Teemo forages for a mushroom every 35 / 31 / 27 seconds, but he is only big enough to carry 3 at once.

InvisibTeemo's ultimate ! 10min-free-wards! Just plant some, and watch. I've done some screens with spots and placements, check it out !

- Be careful ! Noxious Trap's damage over time effect does not stack. Enemies who detonate multiple traps will only have the duration refreshed per trap they detonate.
- Mush' damage is determined at detonation, not at the time of being placed which means any ability power Teemo gains or loses will affect all active shrooms.

Mushrooms spot - [Work in Progress]

I know, it's ulgy but dude, it's just a guide, read & follow ! :p

So, i've seen a lot of Teemo playing top (even mid)... And i'm almost always like "dude please put some mush here, here and here! give us vision pls!" ! So, i've done some screenshot (from a custom game, and i was alone on blue side) with my usual spots to plant mush !
- My toplane at ~10-15min. See? Nobody can gank me. Invisible text!Invisible text!Invisible text!Invisible text!
You can put them almost everywhere, but think about it, the path finding (you know, the path your champ will take if you click like your base to toplane through jungle) will always take the same path, so put mush on it (like on the screens) !

First thing, i use a simple code : remember it, it's for all my in-game screens !

X = Where you can put mush. It depends on the situation and on peoples facing you !
Mush (the one i put in game) = where i usually put them.

Well, here the basic mushs to protect you from ganks (if you're on the blue side) !Invisible text!Invisible text!
Then protect your blue buff / jungle (still for blue side)

My toplane and my blue buff / jungle entrance are protected, what can i do next ? Maybe i can be annoying ? Let's see : Here, entrance and exits are mush'd, the enemy jungler will be pissed, that's what i want.And (same place, just another point of view)- You can wait at the red buff and try to kill the jungler ! Wait near the redbuff, stand still and wait for the smite. When he smite'd, AA+Q+Ignite ! If he's close, put a mush on his feets, and same combo. He cant escape, all exits are cover'd by mushs! Free kill for you. Put back your mush, and run away!

1 : Don't trespass this spot after applying Toxic Shot ! Turret will hit you.
2 : This is where your creeps should be. Then you can last hit under enemy turret, and harass your enemy : melee champs will have to come at this spot to last hit, and you'll be happy to annoy him !
3 : This is the "useless" zone, if you put a mush / use your passive Camouflage here, the tower will see you, same for champs and creeps. Save your mush for other places, the only usefull this you can do here, is harass.

Now, it's mid-late game, you have to protect your jungle, and give vision to your team. Let's see your (on blue side) blue and red buff zones.

If you know how to mush on blue side, you know for red side, it's the same. Now, let's look at the river :

- River (Dragon) : With those shrooms, it's a no man's land for your enemies ! They will always be spotted if they want dragon !qq - River (Nashor) : Nashor is covere'd and river also. You can put some all around Nashor's pit if you want. Just don't group 'em, if someone with Oracle's Lens check on it, you will give 'em 10g per shroom.Invisible text!Invisible text!
Now my last advice : With your shrooms, you can split push pretty easily. Put mush like on this screenshot on your lane (after the first top enemy turret is down). Follow your wave and put mush where they steps, it's easy.
- By doing that (i usually put 6 mush like that to split push my toplane) my lane is fine, and i can help my team (with mush or by being present for 5v4 while enemy toplane is dead or trying to push top) and give 'em a victory! You can do that on every lane to focus on "mushing" jungle or taking objective (dragon, tower, etc).Invisible text!Invisible text!
