Lets now start with our OP Volibear Build guide and how to win games easier than ever!

Lets start about why we call Volibear with this build IMMORTAL and why we choosing this build instead of anything else, the answer is pretty simple cause it’s going to be close to IMPOSSIBLE to die, no matter what enemies you will have!
Our Volibear is a champion that is lots more powerful than might ALL THE CHAMPIONS in this game and with a non-punish kit, you can literally go in with your Thundering Smash stun the target, then press Sky Splitter to receive a huge shield and damage-slow the target and then just press Frenzied Maul to totally DESTROY him, while healing for an insanely big amount of HP, the volibear kit is created to be played with this build, cause you got Heals, Shields, TONS OF CC and an ultimate that will also give you much more HP, the bonus HP with this build means that you will you will multiply the sustain that you got at least x2! Also with the Immortal Volibear build we are focusing on doing as much AOE Damage as possible around, we got Sunfire Aegis, The Relentless Storm, Riftmaker, Sky Splitter and our R Stormbringer that not only will do AOE damage but will also increase our size and HP making Sunfire Aegis to do an INSANELY BIG AMOUNT Of damage non-stop around you and also heal-dmg from the damage that you are doing cause of Riftmaker healing effect, bonus effect and by also combining your W on top of that!

With this build Volibear will be a total MONSTER in ANY LANE, be it Top, Mid, Jungle, support or even BOT cause we maximizing his potential greatly by using the BEST item-runes combinations that will make you unstoppable while of course having tons of fun while playing him!
Volibear is one of the champions right now that not only will totally destroy any champion, or even 3 champions (1v3) with our build, but will also support his teammates cause of your ultimate that will literally throw you into the enemy team tanking and damaging all of them at the same time, while receiving close to zero damage back!

Hope you are ready Balorians, cause we will get started by explaining WHY Volibear with our build is going to make you the STRONGEST one of all!

Before we start talking about our runes choices and why we are playing with them we need to understand how the new volibear's kit works.
Lets start with his skills:

Passive: The Relentless Storm THE RELENTLESS STORM
Volibear's attacks and abilities grant attack speed, and eventually cause his basic attacks to deal bonus magic damage to nearby enemies. This means that you will have SPLASH DAMAGE to 1st Farm better early while of course damaging our enemy laner but also do more damage in teamfights cause you will be able to hit multiple targets just by focusing always ONE!


Q: Thundering Smash THUNDERING SMASH
Volibear gains speed towards enemies, stunning and damaging the first one he attacks. This skill is going to give you the movement speed that you need to reach your target, do more damage and most importantly STUN THE TARGET, in this game and especially for our Immortal builds, CC is everything cause we love using the combination of items and runes that will maximize the damage while fighting a CC target, for example the item Winter's Approach second effect


W: Frenzied Maul FRENZIED MAUL
Volibear damages an enemy, applying on-hit effects and marking them. Casting this spell again on the same target deals bonus damage and heals Volibear. One of the MOST IMPORTANT skills for the new volibear, not only you will do bonus damage you will also receive a HUGE AMOUNT OF HP back that will also scale with your MISSING HP, cause of the combination of Revitalize and Spirit Visage you will multiply this amount by 40%, that means they wont be able to kill you at all, cause of the HEALS, SHIELDS, DAMAGE and insane regeneration you will have!


E Sky Splitter SKY SPLITTER
Volibear summons a lightning bolt at a location, dealing damage and slowing enemies while granting Volibear a shield if he's inside the blast radius. Another IMPORTANT and super powerful skill that not only will give you sustain with a shield that will also be multiplied by Spirit Visage and Revitalize but also damage and BONUS DAMAGE cause of Shield Bash this rune will also give you armor/magic resist for the duration of the shield plus 2 more second, making it extremely valuable to have cause of your E (or cause of your allies with shields)


R Stormbringer STORMBRINGER
Volibear leaps to a target location, slowing and damaging enemies beneath him while gaining bonus health. Enemy towers near his landing location become temporarily disabled.
Your ultimate will give you the ability to have an extra flash-dash to reach the target, go over walls etc. BUT ALSO will disable towers, making you an extraordinary dive machine for TOP lane or JUNGLE and also giving you BONUS HP to sustain even further their damage, while also doing AOE damage at the area you will hit for enemies and towers!

Now that we understood what his abilities doing, lets start with the RUNES and why is so powerful to play like this the New Volibear

For Resolve:
Grasp of the Undying One of the most powerful runes in the game for champions like Volibear this runes will give you 3 stats, bonus damage with % of your HP that will work greatly with your Frenzied Maul that will activate it while also damaging the enemy and healing you, % of HP HEAL back and one of the most important stat that most people forgetting is the 5 permanent HP each time you using it!

Note, You can play with Aftershock as jungler if you don't want to miss your chances to stack Grasp of the Undying while playing in jungle. But rememeber, than even if you cant stack grasp early, sooner or later you will start fighting and stacking it easily

Shield Bash A super important rune, a MUST TO HAVE for Volibear and one of the reasons that to go for Grasp is the only way, it will give you bonus Armor-Mr each time you got a shield PLUS bonus damage that scales with the % of the shield for your next basic attack cause of your Sky Splitter you will use Shield Bash almost every single time cause of the low CD and we will also use it with Winter's Approach while effect, making Shield Bash to be EVEN STRONGER than ever!

Second Wind Another monstrous rune, HP REGAIN each time you receiving damage from the enemy that scales with your MISSING HP, people keep underestimate this rune, but cause of this rune and Doran's Shield you will be totally UNSTOPPABLE early, cause of this double regeneration from level 1 you will have ability to trade with the enemy for AS LONG AS YOU WANT and kill them easily while being Full HP!

Revitalize One of the most BROKEN runes that on certain champions works incredible, Volibear is one of them, 5%-15% BONUS HEALS and SHIELDS that together with Spirit Visage you will increase this to 30%-40% and will make you an IMMORTAL MONSTER! The bonus heal and shield effect will apply when it comes from your allies as well, so that means the heals-shields that you will have from allies such as Janna Yuumi Sona etc. will also be multiplied by 40%!!!

For the secondary runes tree we got two different options!

Precision:

Triumph HP Heal plus bonus gold for every kill/assist, you think the heal value is low for this rune, but in reality you will be gaining more than 500-600 HP per kill/assist, cause you will multiply this heal by Revitalize and Spirit Visage

Legend: Tenacity Bonus % Tenacity, making you have a total tenacity of 60%+ that will let you avoid ANY CC while fighting 1v5! One of the most important stats in the game that will also let you the option of going for Plated Steelcaps instead of Mercury's Treads to counter both CC and Basic attackers with lots of ON-hit effects!

And here we can change Legend: Tenacity Into

Last Stand to increase our damage while we are low HP, something that you will fully use and also multiply your damage even further cause of the Riftmaker

By having this combination of runes you will realize that Volibear is many times stronger than you think, making him impossible to die while having the damage to kill them all!
Now that you understood how the runes working, let’s continue with the item choices and see how well they will work all together!!

If you wanna be an absolute Immortal with Volibear then you need to follow the item order that I am about to show you, the style that I am using and destroying everything with ease while 1v9 CARRY every game!!

Our start item is going to most times be Doran's Ring and 2 pots, Doran's Ring will give you HP, AP both useful for Volibear and more than enough mana regain to spam your skills much easier.

Another option is Doran's Shield plus a Health Potion this will give you an insanely big amount of regeneration that from the early stages of the game will make you unstoppable and unable to die, super useful vs poke type champions and will work great with Second Wind to increase your hp regen even further!

Our first back item will always be Bami's Cinder this item will give you bonus HP and damage around, that will make you powerful enough to start fighting against any target plus we need a Refillable Potion and Tear of the Goddess if we got enough gold, your main focus is to go back to base with 1150 gold, in order to buy Bami's Cinder and Refillable Potion something that people ignoring is that by buying Refillable Potion as soon as possible in the game, you will have free pots all lane phage long and you will also sell it and gain back some of the gold that you invested to this item, making it TOTALLY FREE!

Then our main focus in to first buy Bramble Vest cause of the armor and its effects will make us even stronger, you will repel back damage while applying the Grievous Wounds effect that will reduce their healing at the same time! And these two part items alone are going to be enough to play as aggressive as you want and even cause of how powerful your BONUS HP from your R is to fight 1v2 or even 1v3 in some situations without even having a completed item!

Remember, to buy Bramble Vest only if you got heal effects vs you, like Aatrox, Olaf etc. that will also use some basic attacks in order to fully use the heal reduction effect, if you don't have these champs, then you can ignore the item completely and go for Chain Vest instead!

After finishing our Bramble Vest and if you didn't buy it earlier then don't forget that we also need to buy an item part that we need to stack in order to finish our core item later on, this item is going to be Tear of the Goddess with this you will have enough mana to spam your skills more and not have overall mana problems later on and especially in full late game at all, another option here is to buy it on one of your backs after getting your Bami's Cinder and Refillable Potion

Then we will finish Sunfire Aegis one of the most powerful item for Volibear, this item will give you HP, ARMOR and Burn damage that will scale with your HP that you got and will increase even further while using your ultimate!

Our next item focus, will be Jak'Sho, The Protean, this item will give you every stat that you can imagine to overpower your enemies with ease even if you fight 1v3 with only 2 items! Bonus HP, ARMOR, MR and bonus %armor/mr the more you fight!

Next we will finish our Boots into MOST OF THE TIMES Mercury's Treads cause we need the extra TENACITY effect, plus to balance out the ARMOR and MAGIC RESIST, we will only have Spirit Visage for magic resist and together with the boots it will be MORE THAN ENOUGH!
If you playing against FULL AD teams with ZERO CC, then go for Plated Steelcaps especially against champion that using basic attacks as main source of damage, like for example Tryndamere Yasuo or Master Yi etc. this item will COUNTER THEM completely, cause it will reduce their pre-armor reduction damage by 12% (its pretty big, cause after that you will recude it even further cause of your resistances)

As 3rd Core item, we will play with, Winter's Approach a super cheap item that will give you HP, Tons of MANA to spam your skills, %Mana to HP effect and NON-STOP SHIELDS every time you are stunning someone with Q, or applying SLOW with E and R! That means, Volibear will have 3 different skills to activate the shields effects of Winter's Approach after full stacking it and ADD ONE MORE tool to our insane IMMORTALITY!

Then we will finally start finishing the strongest item for Immortal Volibear Buld, Riftmaker, this item will give you AP, HP, Ability haste, bonus damage effect, AP from HP and HEAL from your damage effect that will let you increase your sustain by a lot more than you can imagine!!

For last Item for our Immortal Volibear Season 14 Build we got the following item choices that will make us the absolute carry:


1. Thornmail If you decide to not sell vest and you have lots of auto-attack Heal champions against you, then finish building Thornmail, this item will give you Armor, HP, Damage repel and also %heal reduction effect to everything that attacking you!


2. Spirit Visage The strongest by far item for Volibear, HP, MR, Ability haste, HP Regeneration and 25% multiply of your heals & shields to make your sustain to reach INSANE VALUES!
That means the heals from your Riftmaker, Frenzied Maul, Grasp of the Undying, Triumph and shields from Sky Splitter and Winter's Approach will be multiplied by 40% and make you EVEN STRONGER than before, a change that will be game breaking for Volibear and also this increase on your shield power, will also increase the Shield Bash total damage that will make you UNSTOPPABLE!

3. Warmog's Armor MOST gold efficiency item in the game, its passive alone is 1000% gold efficiency of its cost as a stat and this item of course is Warmog's Armor not only you will have HP, MS, HP Regain but you will also have an insanely out of combat HP REGAIN, imagine that you will have the power to go in, fight literally for AS LONG AS YOU WANT and then, if you are TOO LOW, to flash or E away, wait for 10seconds and then go in again with FULL HP

Note, as last 6th Item, you can play with Force of Nature to increase your HP, MR and movement speed by a lot and make you easily 1v9 carry games even without the bonus ms from a boots!

So Balorians, now you can fully understand why this combination of items is BY FAR the most powerful one in the game that you can even play with and you are ready to go and earn your FREE LP!!

Lets talk about the strategy here. To play with Volibear inst only use his PURE Strength as your weapon, like any other WARS, at league you need to use your HEAD as well to win the game.
So lets talk about what you need to focus.

Creeps(FOCUS on FARM): The most important thing is to focus on your farm, you need to farm fast and if you can kill all the creeps without missing even one. This way you will take the lead from your enemy champion, dont be afraid to use your skills for last hits even at the 1 level.

Stay Alive: To not to die at lane and not have any kills is more worth than to be 3-3 or 4-4 with your enemy Lane champion.
Your build focusing to be the strongest at the MID-Late game, doesn't matter if you cant kill now, focus on farm and you will be able to show your true Strength at the right time of the game.

Always engage with your Thundering Smash while using the Sky Splitter close to the target to hit him and use your shield while fighting, then instantly start the fight by activating your Frenzied Maul in order to do damage but also to have it again to activate its special abilities, that is to do BONUS DAMAGE but also to HEAL for a huge amount of hp that will be multiplied by 40% cause of your Revitalize and Spirit Visage just by following this simple combo you will ALWAYS overpower your enemy champion or enemy team while taking close to ZERO DAMAGE!

So remember the most important thing in this game is FARMING and to STAY ALIVE to overpower and kill them all will come as long as you focusing on these two things! Our Immortal Volibear build will always be the strongest in full early to full late game, no matter how bad you play early, clear all the waves that is EASY with your passive and items, get your gold that you need, use your Ultimate to reach in the backline of the teamfights and kill the enemy bot laners, play with focus and you will always end up VICTORIOUS!
