Hello. I'm morgan595 and this is my first guide. I decided to write this guide after the Nidalee changes and I began experimenting with Nidalee. This is one of the builds that I came up with. It works pretty well.

Runes

I chose these runes because the armor penetration helps early game to shred those low armor targets. The magic resist and armor runes are for tankiness.

Masteries

Max utility tree because you're definitely no hard dps. The 9 in Offense is for the armor pen and cooldown.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
    Damage shreds squishies
    Massive survivibility
Cons:
Not enough AP for scary spears or heals

Items

The items I have listed are usually core each game. To start off, if you want to be tankier, go Doran's Shield. If you want have more damage, take a Doran's Blade. When you go to choose which boots to get, check their team. Do they have a Fiddles, Lux, Rammus, or any character with MAJOR CC? Definitely buy Merc Treads. I can't tell you how many times I've seen allies buy different boots when they have BOTH a Fiddlesticks AND a Rammus. If you don't see much cc, buy the Boots of Lucidity, they helps your cougar form immensely. Yes, you do buy two Giant's Belts. Your cougar skills should do enough damage without any enhancement even into mid-game. Buy the Atma's to make this entire build work. You really have to build according to each situation you are in. Therefore, if you need more magic resist, build a Force of Nature after the Warmog's. If you need more AD, build an Infinity Edge after the Frozen Mallet.

Skill Sequence

You definitely want to max heal first on this build because your heal is only effective early to mid game. Late game it is completely useless. After that is the spear, but mainly for the cougar's skill. You'll be in cougar form a lot. Of course take your cougar form whenever possible, and then max trap.

Summoner Spells

Flash is an all important Nidalee spell and just a great skill overall. Exhaust is an EXCELLENT spell. It's great for 1v1's, saving your teammate or yourself, or to slow down that escaping champion. I ALWAYS take it because it is a great aid in killing champs.
