Hey folks,
this is the first guide (uaaah so excited) I ever made for LoL but I hope you'll enjoy it much. Since Nocturne's very new in LoL, I'll try to update it when I get new ideas cause that's what I expect.
Although Nocturne is a great jungler, you can play him by laning with a partner prefering a ranged one. It is your coice.

What makes him special is the tracing ability and sudden strike chance with the ultimate skill. You should try to take the advantage of these options to play a successful Nocturne.

Armor penetration is fairly more important than damage since you focus on the damage by buying items with damage

As a jungler you need these armor runes for sure. It makes things way easier in the early game and you shouldn't need help with the Mana buff e.g.

Although Nocturne's very fast I wouldn't relinquish the attack speed runes. It helps you a lot and it endures for the whole game as a bonus.

Early game
Starting with a Cloth Armor and some Health Potions, you go for the Wriggle's first cause it helps you a lot when jungling. Try not to come back to base before you have enough gold for the Lantern! After that, you need your shoes of course, take the Berserker ones to advance in your attack speed and gain the XP much faster. This is your start.

Early mid game - Mid game
The next you should do is collecting the Youmuu's and Frozen Mallet. This helps you to improve your damage and to have a chance in teamfights. The extra damage is nice, but I focus on the additional armor penetration and critical strike chance. And of course you slow can slow your enemy while being way faster than him - you'll love it!

Late mid game
Then you should concentrate on the Infinity Edge and Guardian Angel. The Edge helps you to strengthen your strengths by giving you extra damage and critical strike chance and maximizing the damage you deal while critting. Guardian Angel should provide you from being too squishy in teamfights. Sell Doran's for some space.

Late game
The Bloodthirster is something you really should buy in the late game. Not only the damage will help you to be threatening but also your lifesteal stays solid. You need to sell Wriggle's for this what means you only need 2200 extra gold for it.


Alternative Items I didn't chose but can recommend:

The Last Whisper can help you a lot due to the extra armor penetration. You need to chose if you can interchange this with the Guardian Angel e.g. in games you are dominating.

Another nice item, especially for junglers. Extra speed, extra lifesteal, not bad so far. But Nocturne seems to be fast enough.

Take this one for tanky opponents with a vast amount of armor, you'll love it. Interchange it with the Infinity Edge

Surely the PD can be a nice Item for your Nocturne but the extra speed is not very necessary. You should interchange this only with Youmuu's but it is your choice of course. ;)
