Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Ive been playing Junglaf for quite a while, and ít seems as a great way to play him for plenty of reasons:
Olaf is an extremely fast jungler
His CC only requires good aim and tactics, no mana and barely any cooldowns.
The true damage he can deal with reckless swing may not seem as much at first due to it only being 340 with 5 seconds cooldownm, but it is actually amazing and it also allows you to manage your HP: The more you use it, the faster you attack.
If he is bursted when at full hp, it just gives the enemy team more trouble if you can out-tank their damage with your tremmendous lifesteal.
Items and Runes
The rune setup i use is pretty standard for a mana-based offense offtank:
Quints of Desolation (armor penetration)
Reds of Desolation (m0ar armor penetration)
Yellows of Resiliense (flat armor)
Blues of Shielding (MRes/level)
The items i usually use are:
Jungle gear at start (armor and 5 pots)
Madreds Razor (very important)
After that i tend to follow 2 patterns, varying on how fast i will recieve the damage (that is, if they have bursts, burst assassins or the kind of ranged squishies/lifesteak-tank assassins)
Defensive (anti burst):
...Frozen Mallet, Atmas, Warmogs, Yomumu
Offensive (anti dps):
...Trinity, Atmas, Warmogs... now either another warmogs or bloodthirster, depending on how the team is acting (2 warmogs for being the front line bruiser, bloodthirster for being a deadly 1 vs 1(or even 1 vs 2))
My jungle route is a little bit different and risky, but is safer, faster and is a lot better after you Pill back to base to get madreds. Here is how it goes:
Enemy side Blue Golem
Enemy side Wolf Camo
Your side twin golems (use smite)
Your side wraiths (focus the big one 1st :D )
by then if i remember corretly, you should have at least 700 gold or so. If you dont, take your side wolf camp.
After that it is pretty obvious:
Your side red
Clean up the jungle in this quarter
Your side blue (refresh buff)
Insert gank here
Their side golems
Their side wraights
after that you BP, buy stuff, then just roam the jungle annihilating every camp and occasionally gank.
At level 9, if you have wiggles lantern and berserkers, you can solo the dragon
I start off taking Vicious Strikes to help me and solo blue golem
After that i take Undertow to do a lil more dps by throwing it at melle range
Then i take another level in Vicious Strikes
Another level in undertow AND LEAVE IT AT LEVEL 2!!!
Then i level up Reckless swing up to level 3
Then i level Vicious strikes, then another reckless swing, vicous strikes, reckless swing, so they are level 5.
AND finally, undertow
obviously, level ulti any time possible
