Spells:
Ghost
Ignite

Intro
Things to know:
cc = crowd control
olaf = hue
hue = olaf
ATS = attackspeed
AD = attackdamage
MR = magic resist
ArP = armour penetration (lols)
cs = creep score
cdr = cooldown reduction
For runes I get ArP marks, Armour seals, MR per level glyphs, and ArP quints.
The ArP scales well with lafs ultamite making you unleashe butloads oof damage because of the pure penetration (lols). The armour seals are greeat for lane tankyness because top lane (where you should be) often consists of a bruiser so armour will counter him. The MR per level is great for those AP carries who you will face later in the game, greatly reducing their damage.
Alternate runes:
Attack damage marks
CDR reduction glyphs
Attack damage Quints
(not in any order im just listing some runes you may prefer)
The ArP scales well with lafs ultamite making you unleashe butloads oof damage because of the pure penetration (lols). Ghost - Great synergy with Reverie and his ulti
Ignite - Best spell ever, finish off those tryndameres after ulti
optional:
teleport - Good for saving teamates who get dove, or, getting back to lane to farm
flash - Good for escaping, but ghost is better
exhaust - Good with the slow from your Q
Seriously dont get these:
Clairvoyance - Thats janna's spell
Revive - Olaf never dies
Fortify - Can you even get that anymore?
Cleanse - Save that for the carry it gets a 4 / 10 i guess it could be useful cuz its like a second ulti ina way and if u get quicksilver sash you cant be CC'd

These items are good depending on the team comp
~ Randuins Omen - if you had to shutdown a carry with one item it would be this one. Also nice cdr
~ Bloodthirster - your super fed and can sell wriggles to get this
~ Force of Nature - Le blanc is fed get this replace wriggles lantern
~ Quick silver sash - never again will you get chain CC'd
~ Youmoos Ghost blade - Some people like it i dont. Although nice active aswell as cdr.
