REALLY Not Your Average Renekton Build

What? This isn't very Meta. >:(
Yeah yeah, You're used to AD Bruiser builds that are everywhere on Renekton, but I'm here to tell you that there's a new, great way to play your top laner gator.

Now, why do I think this is a better build than Meta? I don't know I'm in Bronze right now. BUT, I do know that in my experience, it offers three things.

1. A Massive upgrade to Renekton's Late game potential.
2. A heavy Defense against Mages (so you can get nice and close)
3. A huge buff tank for your team that is sorta like if Anumu was a top laner, was angrier, and literally gave himself a new quarter of a healthbar every 30 seconds late game.

It may not be meta, but for most players of League, it'll Kill the Competition.
Early Game
So, Early to mid game is when you shine the most, so its time we talked about what to do.
First of all, just like the character, Renekton is pretty well designed to be aggressive. If you feel confident enough against your opponent, be aggressive immediately. use your hits to get the bonus from Press the Attack and use your Q to get a bit more rage so either you end the battle with a kill, force them to back off and lose CS (gold from minions), or put him on a lifeline and force him to hope for dear life. If you aren't confident enough, stay back till level 2 or 3 and use the Combo either E > Q > E to poke, or E > W > Q > E to get in front of him to cut him off from tower.

One of the most important things to do is scare off your opponent by literally walking up to them and using your Q after empowering it with rage, it does reasonable damage and will generally make them back off.
Suprise! Tower Dive!
Renekton, in my opinion, is one of the most well equipped champs to do a tower dive, so much in fact that you can generally get one by the time you're level 6 or 7.

Now, there is a sort of plan to it that you might not get first time but its pretty well done once you get the hang of it. Sometimes it can feel horrible to tower dive because you'll inherently feel like you shouldn't fight under tower.

Now, there are four steps to making sure this gets pulled off flawlessly. One, your opposing top laner is at a quarter health or less and hasn't backed yet. Two, you know the general whereabouts of their jungler (this isn't required, but if you get unlucky, you could just die anyway). third, have your health at 50% or more. and finally, have your minion wave fight the opponents minion wave under their tower.

If all of these are met, you should be able to pull off a perfect tower dive. the way you do it has a specific order.

1. move near the enemy minions
2. Activate your R
3 use your E once and then immediately use your W on them.
4. use your Q, if you did it right, it should be empowered and will kill them. if it doesn't, you should use ignite if possible or just try to hit them again.
5. use your E again to dash to the Grass behind the tower and move through the jungle till you're back in top lane (preferably as soon as possible as to not challenge their jungler)

If everything goes well, you will have killed them and only taken 2 or 3 Tower shots, and your R's extra health should absorb most of that damage. And the plus is, even if you mess up and get stunned, you still can usually either escape or go for a 1 for 1 kill.
Mid-Late Game
Mid game is terrifying for the enemy team, this is your time in the game, as long as you've been winning of course.

Mainly, you want to focus on occasionally pushing your lane but mostly roaming and both stealing their junglers entire jungle or helping out mid or bot. You can mainly 1v1 anyone on their team now and if you can't, you can get away with your mobility and massive armor and health. Your R is terrifying, and activating it before a bigger fight can give you enough rage to use your empowered Q and W, and may even just scare off other champs away from Dragons or Rift Herald.

Late game is slower. you can't roam nearly as much because at this point, three or four people combined can and will kill you. Your best option is to keep with your team, engage fights when you have your R up, and take out anyone who gets too far from the group. with help, you can tower dive anything that isn't a tank and can get out before they even know its happening.
Final Notes
Honestly, this is a pretty fun build. You melt people by standing by them, and you are amazing at getting near people. Its fun its interesting and I enjoy it myself.

Have fun and enjoy :).
