Riven is a Awesome and from what i seen in ranked and blind picked a extreamly underused champion for reasons i dont know, Who wouldnt want a high health High damage and extreamly fun champ to play with?

Marks: I normally go with 5 Flat Damage marks and 4 Armor pen marks because the extra damage at low levels + the armor pen make it nice and eazy to get a first blood and possibly a early double kill

Seals: for my seals i always go 6 flat armor Seals and 3 HP per Lvl seals nothing to fancy in my opinion

Glyphs: for my glyphs i get flat Magic resist because dealing with a Annie or other magic users early - mid game can be quite painfull

the masterys i use are 21/9/0 putting all points down the AD path but instead of putting points in life steal i put 3 points into havoc which i find is pretty usefull

the other 9 points go into defence putting 3 into armor 1 into Magic resist 4 into HP per lvl and 1 into +30 health

Summoner spells

For my summoner spells i take

Flash Because it helps you avoid death which you should if your smart or it can be used to dive towers and grab a kill or even to catch up with someone faster than you

Exaust i find this spell much better than ignite for the simple reason it slows them dont get me wrong i love ignite and would take it any day but when playing riven i have yet to find a reason to use ignite in a match

Skill Sequence

Skill Order
Runic Blade (Passive) : Riven's abilities charge her blade, causing her to do 5 / 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 / 15 ( 0.5 per bonus attack damage) bonus physical damage on her next autoattack. Riven can store up to 3 charges, and will only expend one at a time.

I had heard you needed something like 200 bonus AD before this took the lead from Sheen, which initially made me think "meh". But honestly as much as you spam on Riven and her cooldown's being so low to begin with, it's like having a 1.5x multiplier on all your bonus AD all the time. The fact that you can store charges makes a huge difference because sometimes you need to throw out all 3 of Broken Wings as fast as possible and the passive doesn't go to waste. Good passive.

Broken Wings (Active): Riven steps forward and lashes out in a series of powerful sword slashes that will damage all enemies nearby. This ability can be activated a second time within 4 seconds, and a third time within 4 seconds of that. On the third activation she will also knock nearby enemies back and have a larger radius of damage. All three strikes will deal the same amount of damage.

Physical Damage Per Strike: 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 / 110 ( 0.7 per bonus attack damage)

An excellent ability to keep your passive up. It's good for chasing and closing distance, especially since the third attack will give a decent range knockup, disrupting the person your chasing or good for smashing into a Nunu or Kat ult if your W is on cooldown. Also good for creating distance if you need to run away. Allows her to jungle well early because of constant passive proc'ing. Level this first and then max it last. It's not a heavy damage ability.

Ki Burst (Active): Riven deals physical damage and stuns nearby enemies for 0.75 seconds.

Cooldown: 11 / 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 seconds
Physical Damage: 50 / 90 / 130 / 170 / 210 ( 1.0 per bonus attack damage)

Love this ability. Great ratio, great base, AOE and a stun? Amazing. This is what gets people killed the most, they aren't expecting the damage it puts out. You can use it for escape. You can use it for farming. You can use it to save a life. You can use it to save you some damage taken in the jungle. Use it, max it.

Valor (Active): Riven dashes towards the cursor and gains a shield for up to 2.5 seconds.

Cooldown: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 seconds
Shield Strength: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 ( 1.0 per bonus attack damage)

It is your most consistent gap closer and escape. The ratio on it is amazing. You won't be punished for building AD early before traditional survivability because you can take a decent chunk of damage before you HPs even get tapped. Close in with this then W to stop them and let whoever else is on your team get in on the gank, then stagger auto attacks between Q's.

Blade of the Exile (Active): Riven's sword reforms, gaining 20% bonus attack damage, extended range on her damaging abilities and autoattacks for 15 seconds. She is also granted the ability to use Wind Slash once for the duration.
75 / 60 / 45 seconds

Wind Slash (Active): Riven can activate the ability to emit a shockwave in a long cone in front of her that deals physical damage to all units hit based on their missing health.

Minimum Damage: 80 / 120 / 160 ( 0.6 per bonus attack damage)
Maximum Damage (25% health or lower): 240 / 360 / 480 ( 1.8 per bonus attack damage)

The difference maker. When this on the enemy should respect you. Most times they don't, lucky for you. Put this on and everything goes up, even your passive. That shield just got bigger, that stun hurt that much more, and to top it off you have ranged AOE Garen Ult. With lifesteal you can take a 1v3. Activate it as soon as you engage and you can flawless victory on someone's face. Duck into a bush and activate it to turn the tables in chase and murder the **** out of your pursuer(s). It's awesome, it's a short cd, don't be afraid to waste it. You really can't waste it.
