Hello and welcome to my first guide! (so be gentle)
I've been playing shen for a while and I've tried out a lot of builds and i think this one is the best. Most people play shen as a tank- I think shen is a lot more.He is also a great solo top. Shen is tanky with out a lot of tank items.You don't need them. Why not deal damage? So,lets begin. We will go trough all the items and gameplay.

As you can see, I skill Vorpal blade first. It's your main damage output. With the combination of items that I chose it has a low cooldown and it deals a lot of damage cuz of the ap build. Feint is the second one. It's shield will take a lot of damage,agagin, cuz of the ap build. I max Shadow Dash last. I think the lvl one taunt is enough. I think that Vorpal blade and Faint are more important.Also use Vorpal blade for farming and cast it on a tank minion so your attacks can heal you.

I've tried everything. But I like this a lot. Teleport for the map domination and ghost so you can catch up with your enemies when you slow them with your Q (it has a slow when you buy Rylai's). It's a great combo. Flash is also an option.

Rylai's is your core item. The main one. It gives you tankyness, Ap , and slow when you cast your Vorpal Blade. For boots I take Ionians cuz of the cooldown reduction. And now the tricky part. Why would you take Moonfire spell blade? Idk. I like how it looks :D Kidding. It's a cheap item- gives you Ap and tenacity. I rarely get into late game with Shen. The game is usualy over when i get my Rylai's and Moonfire spell blade. For early game I like to take Hart of Gold. It gives you Hp and the bonus gold. Later, you build Randuin's of it for more tankyness. Lich Bane- I take it for 2 reasons: 1. Gives you Ap and Mr 2. Cuz of it's passive. It's a great item for Shen. It also combines with your passive. Abyssal scepter is also a good item for you. It gives you the MR that makes you more tanky and AP.
