Introduction!

Hi there! Im Hurklabam and Im going to teach you how to play sona.
Sona is arguably the best one in the game at the moment.
And she is very easy to learn but can be quite a challenge to master.

Pros / Cons

Pros:
Very strong heals in lane
Many good auras for the entire team
Big nasty AoE Stun ult

Cons:
She is very slow without her E spell
Your health will be gone in a second if you are not paying attention
The sounds of her spells will drive you mad

Masteries

I Usually go with 9.0.21 but 0.9.21 works fine too.
If you like to go with 0.9.21 you will be less squishy but also have lesser damage in lane.
If Im facing a strong support bot that will be able to deal more damage to me than i can to him I tend to go 0.9.21, in this case I will be buying blue elixirs to cap the cooldown reduction that I would get from the Sorcery mastery.

Skill Sequence

This is one of the most important things to know when you play Sona.
There are different paths to go with your spells:
The stand-far-away lane, when you don't do anything but to stand far away and heal: R-W-E-Q
This will not give any offensive power, this should only be done if you are forced to only heal and wait for mid-late game.
The normal lane, you will try to zone your opponents but still need to heal yourself and your carry: R-W-Q-E
This will give a good balance in poke-power and healing and you good auras for both defense and offence.
The super offensive lane, this is quite rare but you should do it if you are DOMINATING the lane:R-Q-E-W
This will give you insane poke and very good offensive auras for your carry with both damage and with speed.

Situational Items

Some times you will have to change the item build a little, This chaper is just about that!
All situational items should be bought instead of the Rabadons or Archangel staff!!
If the enemy team is very AD heavy both Randuin's Omen and Frozen heart will help alot, but you have to remember that frozen heart will take your CDR to the moon and far beyond.
Ninja tabi should also be considered in the case of strong auto-attackers.
If the enemy team is very AP heavy you should buy abyssal scepter or Banshee's veil.
They give good MR and Abyssal will help your team by shedding the MR of the enemy team, Whild Banshee's veil will help you by giving you hp and blocking some very harmfull spells.

This is my first guide on mobafire so it might not be that great but there will be changes when i get better at this stuff. Will add Screen Shots of match history and expain runes and items further.
