Pros:
+You can do quite a bit of damage with Starcall and Infuse
+You will keep your team up for a long time, despite the changes to her healing.
+Not too squishy mid-late game

Cons:
-People will focus the heck out of you just for playing Soraka in the first place.
-Squishy early game, plus heals are easily shut down with Ignite.

I hope you don't harass the heck out of me because of this build, i know it is not the ultimate support build, but you sure support more if you got AP. In addition you harass the enemy team quite good.

I pick these runes because of durability and defence, if I can substain in my lane longer, I can support my team more. i sometimes change the Magic Resist runes with HP because of Sorakas passive, which gives me MR.

These masteries will give me a bit of AP and alot of utility as exp, gold and mana regeneration.

I sure could pick more offence masteries, but i prefer to buy more ap in stead of mana regen.

Philosophers stone is maybe the most important item early on for Soraka.
Then head over for a Mejais Soulstealer, because I am getting a lot of ***its and this will stack FAST.
As soon as you have enough, recall and buy Ionian boots of Lucidity, I buy this boots cause I need CD on Soraka, that way you can spam those Q's in teamfights and hopefully heal more then one ally.
Now I got some CD and should be able to finish of my Shurelya's Reverie, its active is a huge + when chasing or fleeing enemies.
If the game is still going, I should soon be able to build Morello's Evil Tome for even more CD, mana regeneration and AP.

This is where my build seperates a bit, if the enemy is going strongly AD, I buy Zhonyas Hourglass. If they are AP, I buy Abyssal Scepter.

After this I finish my build with the other item I didn't buy. (Shonyas Hourglass or Abyssal Scepter)

Remember to always buy wards when able to!

Ultys are always picked when available!

I want to harass my enemies early on, and I always lane with a champion that can poke together with me and that way we push their tower instantly. Thats why i pick Infuse.

And of course I am going the support role, so picking Astral Blessing should not need any explanation.

At least i pick starcall for my last maxing, but the game is usually over before this.

Flash is simply to get away if I need, or to help teammates in need.

Teleport is to get to my teammates in need, or for pushing lanes fast.

As I am not going full support I am not going away from the exp, I always try to stay in range of exp. But I do not last hit as this is my AD carry's job. Remember you are both support and heavy AP caster.
