She heals more than you do. If she lands E (Soul Pull), you lose the lane immediately. Item Rush: Buy Executioner's Calling (800g) on your first back. Save your E specifically to block her Ultimate slam damage. If she Ults, do not fight; just walk away.
Olaf
Respect his Level 1; if he lands continuous axes, he will run you down. Your only kill window is Levels 3-5 with Ignite. Post-6, never try to 1v1 him, as his Ultimate ignores your W stun completely.
Gragas
Gragas is the ultimate anti-engage champion. His E (Body Slam) has priority over your W (Shield Vault). If you try to jump on him, he will Body Slam you mid-air, canceling your stun and knocking you back. You can never engage on him first. Additionally, his passive sustain heals back all your poke damage.
Fiora
Her W (Parry) counters your W. If you jump and she Parries, you get stunned and die. Play mind games: walk up to her as if you will W, but just auto-attack to bait her Parry. Strategy: Rush Plated Steelcaps and Bramble Vest before building any damage items.
Kled
Pain in the... armor. His passive counters your Q execute mechanic completely. If you use your full combo to dismount him, you are left with no cooldowns to finish him off. He will simply attack you, remount, and kill you. Only fight if his W is on cooldown.
Maokai
Boring farm lane. You have the advantage early, so try to deny him CS. Stay away from bushes to avoid his Sapling (E) damage. His passive sustain makes him very hard to kill without Ignite. Once he builds armor, ignore him and use your Ultimate to impact other lanes.
Cho'Gath
You have early kill pressure, but he is a ticking time bomb. Dodge his Q (Rupture) to win trades. Eventually, he outscales you with massive Health. If you want to duel him later, Blade of the Ruined King is mandatory. Otherwise, rush Mercury's Treads, clear waves, and roam to other lanes.
Poppy
A test of patience. Her W (Steadfast Presence) completely blocks your jump. Never engage with W unless you bait her W out first! If she blocks your dash, you are grounded and dead. Stay away from walls to avoid her stun. Use your E (Aegis Assault) to block the explosion damage of her Q.
Tryndamere
Volatile matchup. You have kill pressure pre-6, but respect his Fury bar; random critical hits can lose you the lane. Post-6, his Ultimate (Undying Rage) completely counters your burst combo. Do not try to 1v1 him later, as he will just press R and run you down. Rushing Plated Steelcaps is mandatory.
Yorick
A split-push nightmare. His Ghouls hurt more than you think, so kill them with Tap-Q. If he traps you in his W (Cage) without your W/Flash, you are dead. NEVER fight him when his Maiden (R) is summoned; she drains your HP rapidly. Rush Black Cleaver to deal with his tankiness and clear his pets.
Mordekaiser
Short trades are key. If you extend the fight, his Passive activates and melts you. Poke with Q, jump in for a quick combo, and use E (Aegis Assault) to back away immediately. Post-6, save your W or Flash to dodge his E pull inside his Death Realm. Rush Serpents Fang if he stacks shields, or Maw of Malmortius to survive.
Urgot
Respect the Shotgun Knees. Pre-level 9, his W (Purge) has a cooldown; wait for it to end before trading. Your E (Aegis Assault) is a lifesaver—use it to block his R (Fear Beyond Death) execution. Be careful when jumping in; he can buffer his E (Disdain) to flip you instantly. After Level 9 (infinite W toggle), avoid 1v1s unless you are significantly ahead.
Gangplank
A frustrating lane. His W (Remove Scurvy) cleanses your stun immediately, making it impossible to full combo him unless his Orange is on cooldown. Don't jump on him blindly. Instead, play the 'Barrel Minigame': use your empowered Auto-Attack or Tap-Q to destroy his barrels before he detonates them. He outscales you massively, so look for roams.
Rumble
A burning nightmare. The biggest problem is that his Q (Flamespitter) continues to deal damage even if you stun him. Never engage when his Flamethrower is active, or you will lose the trade. Stand behind minions to block his E (Harpoons). Watch his Heat bar: if he turns Red (Overheat), his auto-attacks deal massive damage—do not fight him! Rushing Mercury's Treads and Hexdrinker is mandatory.
Irelia
A highly volatile matchup. Punish her heavily when she uses Q (Bladesurge) to farm, but RESPECT HER PASSIVE! Never fight her when she has 4 stacks of Ionian Fervor. Be careful near low-HP ranged minions; she can dash through them to stack instantly and engage on you. Dodge her E (Flawless Duet) or you lose the trade. Rushing Plated Steelcaps is mandatory to survive her auto-attacks.
Camille
A skill matchup favored towards her. Her Passive (Adaptive Defenses) gives her a physical shield that absorbs your burst—never engage when her Passive is up! Save your E (Aegis Assault) specifically to block her Empowered Q2 (True Damage) or her E stun. If she casts W (Tactical Sweep), use your W to jump inside the inner circle. This dodges the slow/damage and prevents her from healing.
Quinn
A mechanical nightmare. Her E (Vault) hard counters your W engage. If you jump on her, she kicks you back mid-air, cancels your stun, and kites you to death. You can never engage first! Your only hope is to bush-camp to get close without using W, or wait for a Jungle gank. Rushing Plated Steelcaps is mandatory. Once you hit level 6, abandon the lane and roam.
Trundle
You cannot win extended trades because his Q (Chomp) steals your AD, drastically reducing your damage. Poke from distance and save your W (Shield Vault) strictly for disengage. If he casts W (Frozen Domain) and runs at you, stun him and back off immediately. Be careful of his Pillar (E); a good Trundle can use it to cancel your jump or block your escape path. Rushing Plated Steelcaps is mandatory.
Renekton
He is an early game bully who breaks shields. His Empowered W destroys your E shield instantly. Strategy: Do not rely on E to save you. Wait for him to waste his Rage on minions before fighting. If he has a red bar (50+ Rage), stay back and farm with Q.
Sett
This lane is entirely decided by one interaction: His W (Haymaker) vs. your E (Aegis Assault). The Golden Rule: Never use your E just for damage. Save it exclusively to block the True Damage from his W. If you block his punch, you win the trade. If you waste E, he kills you. Item Counter: Rush Serpent's Fang as your second item. It cuts his massive W shield and Sterak's Gage in half, making him significantly easier to execute. Keep poking with Q to stop his Passive health regeneration.
Jax
His E (Counter Strike) blocks your W stun and auto-attacks. Golden Rule: NEVER start the fight with W. Walk up and poke with Q. If he activates his E, use your E (Aegis Assault) immediately to block his stun damage. Once his counter-strike is down, engage freely.
Darius
You win short trades thanks to Sundered Sky healing. Jump in with W -> Auto -> Q, then immediately E back to block his damage. Your sustain negates his Bleed pressure. Warning: Never use E early! If you waste it and he pulls you back with his E, you are dead.
Jayce
Pure skill matchup. A bad Jayce is a free kill, but a good Jayce will interrupt your W engage every time with his Hammer E. Your only window to fight is if he wastes that cooldown. Rushing Plated Steelcaps is mandatory to survive his poke.
Nasus
Deny his stacks. Freeze the wave early and punish him every time he walks up to Q a minion. You have massive kill pressure pre-6. Even if he Withers (W) you, your E blocks his damage while you retreat. Buy Executioner's Calling and end the game before he becomes a raid boss.
Wukong
A battle of wits. His Passive grants him stacking Armor, so extended trades favor him heavily. Respect his Level 1 E attack speed—do not fight him early. The golden rule: Never stun the Clone! If you waste your W on his decoy, you will lose the trade. Poke with Q, force his clone out, and then engage. Plated Steelcaps are highly recommended to reduce his Q damage.
Aatrox
A dance of cooldowns. Use your W (Shield Vault) to dash inside the sweet spot of his 2nd Q to avoid the knock-up. Always save your E (Aegis Assault) to block the heavy damage of his 3rd Q slam. If you get hit by his W (Chains), run sideways immediately to break the tether. His healing is insane, so Ignite or an early Executioner's Calling is crucial. Rush Plated Steelcaps.
Vladimir
A race against the clock. He is weak early, so you must bully him before he scales. His W (Sanguine Pool) has a massive cooldown (~28 seconds early). If he wastes it, he is a free kill. Watch his resource bar: Back off when his bar turns Red (Empowered Q), then engage immediately after it expires. Executioner's Calling is mandatory to stop his infinite sustain. Rush Mercury's Treads to survive his burst.
Viktor
A stalemate lane. Good Viktors will space you perfectly, making it hard to engage. His W (Gravity Field) is his safety net; if you jump on him, he places it under his feet and stuns you after your combo. Do not force trades unless he wastes his W. He outscales you with his Hex Core upgrades, so rush Mercury's Treads and look for roam opportunities instead of chasing him.
Riven
Pure skill matchup. You have the advantage early, so bully her before she gets Ability Haste. The most critical interaction is blocking her 3rd Q (Broken Wings). Save your E (Aegis Assault) for that knock-up or to block her Ultimate (Wind Slash) execution. Post-6, respect her All-In potential; if she activates R (Blade of the Exile) and your E is on cooldown, back off immediately. Do not waste your W; a good Riven will stun you instantly if you dash predictably.
Garen
A battle of attrition. Your main goal is to constantly poke him with Tap-Q to stop his Passive (Perseverance) from healing him. When he runs at you with Q (Decisive Strike), use your E (Aegis Assault) immediately to block the heavy impact. Do not fight him inside his spin (E)! Kite him out. A perfectly timed E can also block his Ultimate (Demacian Justice), saving your life.
Vayne
Ranged bully matchup. She will harass you heavily at Level 1-2, so sacrifice CS to stay healthy. The entire lane depends on her E (Condemn). A good Vayne will save it to knock you back mid-dash, canceling your stun. Never fight near walls to avoid getting stunned. Your goal is to survive until you get Edge of Night; that item spell-shield blocks her E, guaranteeing your engage and a free kill. Rush Plated Steelcaps first.
Shen
A battle of map pressure. It is hard to kill him, but you have superior wave clear. Shove the wave constantly with Q to keep him stuck under his turret. If he tries to Ult (Stand United) to another lane, punish him by taking turret plates or interrupting him with W if you are close. Crucial Interaction: His W (Spirit's Refuge) blocks your Empowered W auto-attacks. Never engage while his spirit zone is active. Focus on out-farming him and matching his roams.
Teemo
He relies on Blinding (Q) you. Let him Blind you, wait 1.5 seconds, then W onto him and execute. Pro Tech: If you are struggling, rush Edge of Night first item. The spell shield blocks his Blind, making him completely useless in 1v1s. Always buy Oracle Lens at Level 1.
Gnar
The golden rule: Respect the Rage Bar. Never fight him when his bar is nearly full or when he is Mega Gnar—he becomes too tanky and has tons of CC. Your kill window opens right after he transforms back into Mini Gnar; he gets a 'Tired' debuff for 15 seconds and cannot gain Rage. Use this window to all-in him while he is squishy. Rush Plated Steelcaps to survive Mini Gnar's poke and kiting.
Dr. Mundo
He is weak early because his abilities cost HP, so abuse this window. Crucial Mechanic: His Passive (Canister) blocks your first CC. Do not engage with W unless his passive is down! Instead, walk up to him, bait him to drop his canister, step on it to destroy it, and then engage. Hide behind minions to block his Q (Infected Cleaver). Buying an early Executioner's Calling is mandatory to stop his insane healing.
Sion
He is a giant health battery for you. Rush Blade of the Ruined King or stick to the core build; either way, you win. When he charges his Q (Smash), use your W to stun him and cancel it instantly. You can block his Ultimate explosion with your E.
Malphite
With the Black Cleaver + Endless Hunger core, you shred him at all stages of the game. Spam Q to break his passive shield continuously. If he tries to poke you with Q, punish him immediately with W. He simply cannot out-sustain your drain-tank build.
Yone
A favored matchup. Respect his Q spam and Lethal Tempo at Levels 1-2. Once you hit Level 3, you dominate short trades. Pro Mechanic: If you get hit by his Ultimate (Fate Sealed), cast your E (Aegis Assault) backwards. Yone blinks behind you after his Ult connects, so facing backwards blocks his follow-up damage completely. Serpent's Fang is highly recommended to cut through his W shields and Immortal Shieldbow.
Yasuo
He is dangerous at Levels 1-2 due to his mobility and Q poke, so play passively. Once you hit Level 3, you dominate him. Rule #1: Pop the Bubble. Always use a quick Tap-Q or an auto-attack to break his Passive Shield (Flow) before you commit your W stun. If you jump while his shield is up, you lose significant damage. Serpent's Fang is excellent here to neutralize his passive resets and Immortal Shieldbow.
Sylas
You have the advantage early, so look to fight. His main survival tool is his W (Kingslayer), which heals him massively when he is low HP. Crucial Rule: Use Ignite early during an all-in to apply Grievous Wounds and cut his healing. Use your E (Aegis Assault) to block his explosive burst combo. If he steals your Ultimate, be prepared to match his roams immediately.
Ryze
A free lane if played aggressively. Being a short-ranged battle mage, he is forced to walk into your engage zone to farm. He is extremely weak early; once you hit Level 3, jump on him repeatedly. Caution: Be careful when diving him; his W (Rune Prison) can root you under his turret, leading to an embarrassing death. Burst him down quickly before he triggers Phase Rush and zooms away.
Kayle
She is extremely weak early game. Freeze the wave near your tower and stand between her and the minions. If she walks up to smell the XP, jump on her. Dive her repeatedly with your Jungler pre-6. End the game early before she hits Level 16.
Taric
Taliyah
Instant Deletion. Pantheon's W (Shield Vault) guarantees that Taliyah lands her W-E combo perfectly. Since Taliyah's combo is hard to hit on moving targets, your stun sets her up for massive burst damage. Also, both have semi-global Ultimates to impact the map together.
Elise
Best diving duo in the game. Pantheon stuns, Elise follows up with Cocoon (E). You tank the turret shots with your E (Aegis Assault), and Elise resets turret aggro with her Spider Form E (Rappel). It is a guaranteed kill under the enemy tower.

Sivir

Sejuani
Stun lock nightmare. As a melee champion, Pantheon's attacks stack Sejuani's Passive (Permafrost). Your Empowered W (3 quick autos) instantly applies 3 stacks for her! This allows her to stun the target immediately, followed by your stun. The enemy literally cannot move.
Karthus
Map-wide pressure. Pantheon's job is to get enemies low with his burst combos. Karthus presses R (Requiem) to finish off anyone who survives your engage. Your W root also makes it easy for Karthus to land his Qs if he ganks your lane.
Galio
The ultimate teamfight engage. You use Grand Starfall (R) to dive into the enemy team. As soon as you land and engage, Galio uses his Ultimate (Hero's Entrance) on you. Your tankiness and E survive the initial burst, while Galio provides a massive knock-up shield for you.
Twisted Fate
Global domination. If both hit Level 6, no lane is safe. TF reveals the map with Destiny, picks a target with Gold Card, and Pantheon follows up with Grand Starfall. It turns any 1v1 into an instant 3v1.

"The heavens do not fear me because I am a god.. They fear me because I am a man!"
This is not just a guide on how to strike with a spear. It is a study of unyielding will, specifically forged for the trials of the Solo Lane. In the isolation of the long lane, your resolve is your only ally. Whether you are crashing down from the heavens or standing your ground against the divine, remember: Atreus fell so Pantheon could stand, but Pantheon died so the Man could fight.
Introduction
THE VETERAN'S SPEAR
.
.
Hello friends! I'm ObiW, a 45-year-old veteran gamer.
While many of my friends have retired from the Rift, my spear remains sharp.
For Season 2026, I have completely overhauled this guide to focus exclusively on Solo Lane Pantheon. Whether you are dominating the Top Lane or controlling the Mid Lane, these doctrines are forged to adapt to every duel and every scenario.
.
.
"Pantheon is timeless. Let's show them why."
WHO IS PANTHEON NOW?
.
Many players still believe the myth that Pantheon is just an "Early Game Cheeseball" who becomes useless after the 20-minute mark. They are gravely mistaken.
In Season 2026, the Artisan of War has evolved into a Solo Lane powerhouse. Whether you are facing a bruiser in the Top Lane or a mage in the Mid Lane, Pantheon no longer just seeks to win early; he seeks to dictate the entire game through tactical flexibility.
While our Unkillable Skirmisher doctrine remains the core of this evolution—bridging Eclipse with Endless Hunger to create a drain-tanking nightmare—our other specialized doctrines ensure that no opponent, from tanks to assassins, can "veto" your path to victory. Your Haste scales directly with your AD, allowing you to spam Qs and refresh shields so fast that enemies will struggle to even see your health bar move.
+ Global Map Pressure (R) + Point-and-Click CC (W) + Superior Damage Mitigation (E) + Innate Armor Penetration (R Passive) + Massive Early-Mid Game Presence
.
Pantheon remains one of the most reliable lane bullies in the game. His point-and-click stun ensures kills during ganks, while his E allows him to "veto" the enemy's highest damage abilities. Once he hits level 6, the entire map must respect his potential to crash down from the heavens.
THE MORTAL (CONS)
- No Combat Ultimate in 1v1 - No Escape Tool After Commitment - E does NOT block Towers - Mana Dependent in Early Lane - Vulnerable to CC Chain
.
Pantheon is a champion of absolute commitment; once you press W, you are in the fight until the end. Managing his high mana costs and long cooldowns—especially Aegis Assault—is critical. Without a combat-focused ultimate, he can be out-dueled by champions who possess raw 1v1 combat ultimates.
GAMEPLAY STRATEGY: THE UNBREAKABLE WILL
"Man is a weapon that gods forgot how to wield."
.
PHASE 1: THE LANING PHASE (Solo Lane Duel)
The Mindset:You are not just looking for kills; you are looking forunpunished trades.
.
Level 1 - The Poke: Start with (Q). Tap Q when the enemy goes for a last hit. Use the range advantage to establish health dominance before the first cannon wave.
Level 2 - The Threat: Unlock (W). The mere threat of a jump zones enemies. If they are in range, a W-AA-Q combo proc's your keystone (Conqueror/PTA/First Strike) and forces them to back off.
Doctrine Initiation: This is where your chosen path starts. If you're an Economic Tactician, focus on First Strike procs. If you're a God-Slayer, look for that decisive Ignite window.
Level 3 - The Veto Zone: With (E), you can negate the enemy's entire counter-attack. Use E to block their key ability (like Jax E or Darius Q) then disengage or execute.
.
.
PHASE 2: THE GLOBAL COMMANDER (Mid Game)
The Mindset:Your influence must be felt across theentire map.
.
The "Fake" Roam: Push the wave and vanish. Simply disappearing from the map "vetoes" the enemy team's aggression. They must play scared because they never know when the heavens will fall.
Starfall Objective Control: Use (R) to join Dragon or Grubs fights. You can split-push Top and still be the first one to arrive at a bot-side skirmish.
Power Spike Management: If you're on the Unkillable path, prioritize farming for Endless Hunger. If you're a God-Slayer, your gold must come from bounties. Don't fall behind in XP while roaming.
.
.
PHASE 3: TACTICAL EXECUTION (Late Game)
The Mindset:Be the initiator or the guardian, never the victim.
.
The Shield-Engine Diver: In teamfights, use your Doktrin 1 sustain to soak initial burst. Jump the backline, use E to survive their focus, and let your team follow up while you lifesteal back to full health.
The Counter-Veto: If the enemy has a hyper-carry assassin (like Zed or Talon), stay close to your ADC. A single (W) can "veto" their entire assassination attempt and win you the game.
.
.
THE "RECOVERY": PLAYING FROM BEHIND
A warrior is not defined by how he wins, but how he recovers from a fall.
.
Utility Focus: If you are behind, raw damage is a trap. Switch your focus to Black Cleaver and Guardian Angel. Become a high-utility frontline that provides armor shred for your fed carries.
Defensive Starfall: Don't use your Ult to engage in a losing fight. Use it to catch waves, prevent dives, or quickly back and return to lane to keep your towers standing.
Armory Pivot: Look at the Armory Section. If you're behind against AP, a Hexdrinker can be the difference between being useless and staying in the game.
RUNES REFORGED: THE FOUR DOCTRINES
.
THE UNKILLABLE SKIRMISHER
ConquerorBEST FOR: Extended teamfights and heavy Bruisers like Darius, Sett, or Mordekaiser. STRATEGY: The heart of our sustain loop. Pairing this with Eclipse and Endless Hunger allows you to stack AD and healing while cycling through constant shields.
THE ARMOR SHREDDER
Press the AttackBEST FOR: Tank duels and high-armor threats like Malphite, Ornn, or Cho'Gath. STRATEGY: Your Empowered W triggers it instantly. It’s the primary tool to "veto" high-armor targets and dominate short, explosive trades during the laning phase.
.
THE ECONOMIC TACTICIAN
First StrikeBEST FOR: Free-farm lanes and heavy scaling targets like Sion, Shen, or Dr. Mundo. STRATEGY: Focus on the Profane Hydra active during the First Strike window. It’s a "Cash out" strategy to finish your core spikes before the enemy can react.
THE GOD-SLAYER
ElectrocuteBEST FOR: Pure assassinations and squishy Solo Laners like Teemo, Jayce, or LeBlanc. STRATEGY: Maximum early-game impact. Combined with Absolute Focus and Scorch, you ensure the enemy is vetoed from the lane before they can build defenses.
.
.
SECONDARY SYNERGIES
→ Inspiration (Economic/Shredder):Biscuit Delivery for sustain and Cosmic Insight to reduce the cooldown of your tactical "Veto" tools like BoRK and Sterak's.
→ Resolve (Unkillable):Bone Plating and Revitalize are mandatory. They amplify every shield from Eclipse and every heal from Endless Hunger.
→ Sorcery (God-Slayer):Absolute Focus and Scorch. This setup makes your early-game Empowered Q a death sentence.
ABILITIES & MECHANICS
PASSIVE - MORTAL WILL
The Mechanics: After 5 spells or attacks, your next basic ability is empowered with extra effects.
Pro Tip: You start the game with 0 stacks. Use Q in the fountain or help your jungler to stack it up before arriving in lane to have an immediate empowered Q ready for the enemy.
Hidden Trick: Returning to base (Recall) or using your Ultimate fully refills your stacks instantly!
.
Q - COMET SPEAR
Tap vs. Hold: 95% of the time, you should use TAP Q. It refunds 50% of its cooldown. With Endless Hunger stacks in Season 2026, this cooldown becomes almost non-existent late game.
Execute: Tap Q deals Critical Damage to enemies below 20% HP. This crit applies item effects, making it the perfect tool to secure kills and trigger Sundered Sky heals.
.
W - SHIELD VAULT
The Bread & Butter: This is your primary engage and lockdown tool.
Empowered W Trick: When empowered, your next attack strikes 3 times rapidly. This instantly stacks Conqueror or triggers Press the Attack.
2026 Item Synergy:
Sundered Sky: Your first auto after W is a guaranteed Critical Strike and Heal.
Voltaic Cyclosword: Using W counts as a dash, fully charging the burst slow.
Black Cleaver: Instantly applies 3 stacks of Armor Shred in a single jump.
.
E - AEGIS ASSAULT
Invulnerability: You block ALL damage from the target direction. Use this to stall for your Q cooldown or to soak massive enemy Ultimates.
CRITICAL WARNING: This ability DOES NOT BLOCK TOWER SHOTS. In Season 2026, diving without a minion wave or a lead is suicide if you rely on E for turret damage.
.
R - GRAND STARFALL
The Scaling Secret: Simply leveling up R gives you 10% / 20% / 30% Passive Armor Penetration. This is Pantheon's greatest "hidden" power. Combined with Black Cleaver, you will shred through tanks without needing extra penetration items.
Global Presence: Use this to cut off enemy escape routes. Do not aim directly at where they are, aim at where they will be.
THE ARMORY: TACTICAL ADAPTATION
Your items are your commands. Choose the right tool to veto the enemy's existence.
.
FIGHTER & BRUISER TOOLS
Eclipse: Core against burst-heavy duelists like Renekton or Camille. Its shield allows you to veto their counter-attack in short trades and win the HP war.
Endless Hunger: Mandatory for scaling against multiple bruisers. It converts your AD to Haste, fueling your late-game ability spam and providing vital Omnivamp.
Black Cleaver: Non-negotiable against armor-stacking tanks like Malphite or Ornn. It shreds defense for your entire team and grants much-needed Health.
Death's Dance: The reset king. Buy this against heavy AD teams to delay incoming burst damage and heal it back with every takedown. It turns you into an unkillable force in mid-game skirmishes.
Sterak's Gage: Your lifeline against burst executes like Garen R or Darius R. Provides the tenacity needed to move through heavy crowd control in teamfights.
Sundered Sky: A reliable alternative to Hunger if you are playing from behind. Provides an instant heal on your first hit that can veto an enemy's kill window.
Profane Hydra: Essential for wave management and additional burst. Use its active for rapid waveclear and to execute low-HP targets during extended skirmishes.
.
LETHALITY & EXECUTION
Youmuu's: Essential for Mid roams or catching slippery ranged targets like Quinn or Vayne. Provides the map tempo needed to dominate the early game.
Hubris: The snowballer's crown. If you secure early kills, this ensures your lead becomes an insurmountable wall of raw physical damage through its unique scaling.
Opportunity: Maximum efficiency against zero-armor teams. It guarantees your Empowered W-Q combo vetoes a carry instantly before they can react.
Edge of Night: Use this to protect your engage. It vetoes high-impact spells like Syndra's stun, Vayne's condemn, or Malphite's ultimate.
Serylda's: Critical for the God-Slayer path when targets build light armor items like Zhonya's. The slow ensures no target escapes your spear.
.
SITUATIONAL CHOICES
BotRK: The ultimate "Tank Melter". Mandatory against high-HP targets like Cho'Gath, Dr. Mundo, or Sion to shred their massive health pools.
Chempunk Chainsword: The Bruiser's cure. Far superior to Mortal Reminder for Solo Lane because it provides Health and Ability Haste. Veto the healing of Briar, Aatrox, or Warwick.
Serpent's Fang: The specialized tool to pierce through heavy shielders like Karma, Lulu, or Seraphine. A game-changer in teamfights.
Guardian Angel: Shutdown protection. Buy this to ensure your gold lead isn't handed to the enemy team after a single mistake.
.
BOOTS SELECTION
Steelcaps: Against heavy AD/Auto-attackers.
Mercs: Against heavy CC or AP threats.
Swiftness: For maximum map tempo and roaming.
Ionian: For maximum Summoner Spell rotations.
MASTERING THE SPEAR (COMBOS)
Mechanics separate a good Pantheon from a God of War.
Legend:= Auto Attack | = 5 Stacks
THE BASICS
1. THE SHORT TRADE ➜➜
Focus: Lane Dominance Start with 5 Stacks. Use W to jump in (instantly gives 3 stacks). Hit Q for damage, then immediately use E and walk backward to block retaliation.
2. THE ONE-SHOT (BURST) ➜➜➜➜
Focus: Deleting Squishies Jump in with Empowered W. While stunned, weave in a quick Auto Attack before tapping Q. This maximizes DPS and triggers PTA or Black Cleaver instantly.
ADVANCED TECHNIQUES
3. THE EXTENDED FIGHT ➜➜➜➜
Focus: Dueling Tanks Use when you have 0 stacks. Poke with Q, jump with W to stack passive. Fight with autos and E. By the end, you have 5 Stacks again for an Empowered Q execute.
4. THE SKYFALL (ENGAGE) ➜➜➜➜
Focus: Teamfights Ultimate gives full stacks. Land and IMMEDIATELY use Empowered W. Do not Q first or you waste the stacks!
PRO MECHANICS
THE "Q-FLASH"
Hold ➜➜ Release
Pantheon can channel Q and Flash simultaneously. Channel Q, Flash forward, and release. This extends your range unpredictably to snipe low-HP enemies under towers.
ADVANCED TACTICS & TIPS
Knowledge is sharper than any spear. Master the Solo Lane Doctrine.
.
.
MECHANICS & MICRO
●Manual Shield Slam (E-Cancel): Do not always wait for (E) to end naturally. Especially in the God-Slayer doctrine, reactivate E manually to trigger the slam damage just as the enemy is about to leave your range, then follow up with an instant Q execution.
●The Counter-Leap (W-Buffering): Buffer your (W) against enemies dashing toward you (e.g., Jax Q, Irelia Q). Pantheon will leap the micro-second they enter his range, interrupting their movement and "vetoing" their initiative.
●The Eclipse Surge: Empowered W triggers the Eclipse shield while you are still mid-air. This allows you to absorb the enemy's panic response before you even land, ensuring you win the trade without losing a single HP.
●Mortal Threshold: (Q) crits targets below 20% HP. In the 2026 meta, this execute damage is massive. Holding your Q for this precise window instead of spamming it early will allow you to dismantle even the tankiest juggernauts.

COMBAT & TRADING
●The PtA Fuse: Empowered W instantly procs the Press the Attack rune. In the Armor Shredder doctrine, chaining your full combo after this proc maximizes the damage amplification, turning your Spear Crit into near-true damage.
●The Calculated Dive: (E) does not block turret shots, but it "vetoes" the enemy champion’s counter-burst while under their tower. Soak the turret hit with Eclipse or Sterak's shields while using E to negate the enemy's damage for a safe dive.
●Shield Weaving: To maximize survivability, rotate your defensive tools. Fight until the Eclipse shield expires, then activate (E). By the time E ends, your high Haste from Endless Hunger will have your next W and shield ready again.
●Instant 3-Stack Shred: Empowered W applies 3 stacks of Black Cleaver instantly. Your spear will hit a target whose armor is already significantly reduced. This synergy is the core reason why Pantheon is the premier tank-melter of 2026.
.
MACRO & ROAMING
●Behind the Lines (Pincer R): Never aim (R) directly on top of the enemy. Target their escape route; the slow-zone and your landing position will pincer the enemy between you and your teammates.
●Tempo Injection: Recalling and using your Ultimate to return to lane or join a Dragon fight provides a massive tempo advantage. Use the landing impact to instantly clear massive waves or "veto" an enemy's objective attempt.
●Orbital Reconnaissance: Your Ultimate's landing zone grants temporary vision. If you suspect a brush ambush or want to scout a dark jungle objective, use R strategically to reveal the area before committing to the landing.
●Economic Dominance: When running the Economic Tactician doctrine, prioritize trades when First Strike is available. A single W-Q-E rotation provides enough gold to "veto" the enemy’s lane advantage through pure item acceleration.
Final Words
THE ASCENT
.
"The heavens do not fear me because I am a god, they fear me because I am a man!"
You now have the knowledge. You possess the Four Tactical Doctrines, you've mastered the Shield-Veto patterns, and you understand the 2026 Solo Lane Macro.
But remember, Pantheon requires courage.
There will be games where the lane feels impossible. There will be games where your Ultimate misses the mark. It doesn't matter. In the 2026 season, we are no longer just "early game" champions who disappear after 20 minutes. We are Tactical Masters. Whether you are drain-tanking with Endless Hunger or erasing carries as a God-Slayer, you are the storm that never ends.
What matters is that you press R, crash back into the fight, rotate your shields, and lead your team to victory through pure, unyielding will.
Pantheon is about refusing to stay down. The mountain is yours to climb. Stand tall, Spartan.
