Introduction

Hi guys, this is my first guide. I bought Jax really long time ago, and I am having great success with him. Jax has lots of ways to play him, such as ad, ap, jungle, tank, or hybrid However I prefer hybrid tanky Jax because he can actually participate in team fights while still dominating 1v1 solo duels against most characters. He is very aggressive player, and tends to ks even if you dont try to ks.

Pros/Cons

Pros

One of the best 1v1 soloist
great farming mid and late game with his passive ult
Great q (leap strike) that can be both used in running away and chasing
Great skill Combo e-q-w *do not do e-w-q ill explain later on
Both Ap and Ad
Pretty good burst even if went tanky
Easy to master

Cons

Not very durable in the early game
Hard to farm in the early game
Easily targeted, but thats why you go tanky

Runes/Masteries

Tbh, I'm not a pro when it comes to Runes/Masteries haha
Not a huge factor unless playing ranked games

Items

As explained before, Jax is very hard to farm with during the early games. Also, he doesnt have healing skills nor life steal. So I start with Dorans Shield for not only extra hp, but for armor and health regen. This allows Jax to go in and get the lsat hits even if enemy is attacking you. Since its the late and mid game where you shine, its better to stay in a lane longer for more exp. After the dorans shield, I get boots and few pots, unless i have enough money for the vampiric scepter. And then i finish the Hextech Gunblade. This item, although nerfed. is great item for jax. Ad, ap, life steal, spell vamp. Everything jax needs. After the gunblade, I go for Guinsoo's Rageblade. This item is must have. It stacks SOOO well with your passive and pretty much with all your skills. By this time, you sud be owning most of the 1v1 battle and making up for the weak farm of early game. After i go for either Rylai's Crystal Scepter or the Frozen Mallet. I prefer Crystal Scepter in order to make him more of a hybrid. To complete the tanky dps, i get Warmog's for 1300ish Hp, and finish the build with Impaler with gives me ad from the passive, armor, and crit.

Skill Sequence/combo

Skill Sequence is very personal, but i do leap strike and empower for more damage, as counter strike's stun does not increase even if you level it up.

Also, as I briefly talked about skill combo before, your skill sequence sud be e-q-w. COunter strike, leap strike, empower. Now, this combo is better than counter stike, empower, leap strike because of 2 reasons. First, empower resets the attack speed =more attacks. Second, more attacks means faster magic damage from the ult's passive.

Summoner Spells

I take Ignite and Flash for early kills and excape mech. that works well with jax's leap strike
