Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Rather than going with attack damage as the source of effectiveness i preferred attack speed and critical chance along with dodge playing as Teemo. When we think of Teemo we remember his poisonous attributes along with his traps and stealthiness. With this build I focused on mainly dealing those quick strikes to deliver a high level of DOT (damage over time). He is not known to take a high amount of damage so the best items i found suited for this build was Phantom Dancers x2. Twice the ammount of critical chance, movement speed, and dodge. To help his insanely quick movement speed i give Ninja Tabi which also adds on extra doge attributes. With Teemo I focus on the poison over all abilities. With a high attack speed you are capable of dealing numerous stacks with his poisonous dart which is also his passive ability allowing you to bring down enemies a lot quicker.I took advantage of the fact that you don't need to worry about losing mana or remembering to toggle it on or off. Also his dodge will allow you to stay in battle longer and deal more swift blows to slowly bring enemies down.
-Teemo is a great farmer, use this to your advantage on leveling up early and making that money that Teemo relies on. Without money in yourr bank your teemo is stank... lol
-Movement Speed along with his Move Quick ability makes him able to move in and out of enemy range more effectively than most champions. You can use this to push enemies off your lane, force them back to heal and when they port out get ure cash on...more money, more XP, more levels.
-Traps are best placed in bushes, escape routes and enemy gank trails.
-Play the bush. While stealthed you may be unseen but you will lose oppurtunity to bank on minion kills. Play the bush wisely if it is only safe to assume no one is waiting in there....and im talking bout raccoons.
-Towards mid-game ure dodge will be your asset in battle. Can't take hits? Too Squishy? no problem! They cant kill you if they cant hit you. Blinding Dart+Dodge=Can't touch this...da da da da..da dum dadum.
-Dot...His damage over time can be insane.
-Movement Speed is beyond the capacity of anything ive witnessed..lol His best defense is running if you cant stealth.
-Dodge more frequent than often. All you see is blue dodge written on the screen to annoy your enemies. Jax will be green with envy and Yi will be red with anger.
-Porting out is funnier with teemo. Enemies watch you port and as they approach you become stealthed and they cant do anything about it...lol unless they have vision ward.
-Teemo is squishy. Can die pretty easily at beginning of match.
-Relies on gold. Farming is a must have. Bank on kills, assists, and minions and monsters.
-He's a supporter. Sure you can bring enemies down but without help you are in danger and at a higher risk of dying until late-game.
