Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Okay, so, this was the build I leveled up with throughout most of my time first starting out in League of Legends. Since then, I have made several improvements, and a wonderful new item has been released.
First note about twitch: When the sh!t hits the fan, twitch ooms quickly. His first item when he starts should be a mana regen item. This will keep him on the lane for a long time. Build up into Tear of the Goddess early on to get your mana pool up quickly.
Build Tear of the Goddess, Boots of Mobility, and Emblem of Valor early on, then into Madred's Razor. All of these will build up later, with your first goal being attack speed after this.
You will want to build up your Stark's Fervor or Madred's Bloodrazor first depending on the situation. Both of these should be worked up quickly, as you'll need the attack speed, and you may need the bonus from Madred's even more quickly.
You will want to finish off Manamune after you get Stinger, then finish of Nashor's Tooth. And then lastly, build up Trinity Force from the Phage side until you have everything you need.
So long as you are getting your gank on, you will have no problem maxing out by the end of the game, but you will definitely need to watch how the enemy team is built to find out in which order to build.
Some reasons why you want certain items:
Madred's Bloodrazor: This should be obvious. With the more attack speed you have, the more this puppy will burst down your enemy. Good against health based tanks.
Stark's Fevor: This is the riskiest item in your arsenal. Theoretically, the enemy could see the buff on your team mates when you are near. Most of the time, they won't be stopping to hover their cursor over the buff to see who it is from though. This is however the best vampiric item you can get, so it's worth it. If you don't want to take the risk, Malady is a decent choice too, but won't give you the armor reduction.
Manamune: I used to take Archangel's for this build, which wasn't that great, but made Expunge hit like a mac truck. Rather than still use that, Manamune makes your physical attacks really hurt, which is preferable. Either way, once you have the extra mana, and the regen, you will never go wanting for mana again. If twitch ooms, he's dead.
Nashor's Tooth: Two words, cooldown reduction. This is the only attack speed item that gives cooldown reduction, and you'll love it when you can hit Ambush just a little earlier, or get a second Expunge in if you are lucky. Also, it gives AP for Expunge, and it's attack speed, you always want more of this.
Trinity Force: More attack speed, more burst damage, and a slow on hit. What more could you ask for, I mean really now?
Boots of Mobility: This is going to change between 5v5 and 3v3. In 5v5, this are these boots to get. These with your summoner skills will give you map supremacy. You'll get anywhere in record time, while stealthed, and get a surprise attack. Get Boots of Swiftness in 3v3, because that will allow you to pursue runners faster, and you won't need the ridiculous speed from Mobility in a smaller map.
