Always go Ignite, this matchup is a pretty decent one as long as he doesn't get ahead.

W = No autos, better to stop her scaling early because it gets worse and worse.
Camille
Character has insane trade potential, outdamages you early and splits right through towers.
Cassiopeia
I have not won against a Cassiopeia for the simple fact she can kite professionally. QSS is always a good purchase but it's very inconvenient having to spec a whole build against Cassiopeia.
Cho'Gath
Very easy to trade against, almost free. He is forced to get beefed of HP, so you just really position to R him into ADCs and squishies.
Darius
Very easy to fight, E his Qs and W his Rs. Getting in range to do melee attacks is Darius' true downfall.
Dr. Mundo
Worst rework ever like why does a tank have a passive spellshield its just so impossible to consistently engage on this guy (not really, but it feels like it). Take HEAVY caution because he scales like a demon.
Fiora
Not the worst duelist to fight but she has the ability to roll you if you let her. Rush an early plated and bramble and watch her cry under tower.
Gangplank
Hard to play against this guy due to burst not giving you room to position your grit. Its not impossible at all, but very annoying to lane against and he can go like 981347390471 different pages sooooo.... have fun teehee.
Garen
Very similar to Darius, but he autos like a mongrel after E-ing you 30 times. You can W his R but not if he Qs prior. Be safe into this matchup because Garen with a lead is kinda nasty. Able to be handled, but not ever fun.
Gnar
Gnar is only useful if he hits all his abilities, he cannot 100-0 if you two have an equal score. Take caution of his R, with no tenacity, it deals a real blow to grit depending on when the fight started.
Gragas
Gragas is a rare pick, but should not be underestimated for his trade potential. He is an assassin at the end of the day, so expect damage and try to dodge his fights instead of building 5 items against him.
Gwen
Leaving this at Even because she is always in a wishwashy spot in my eyes
Heimerdinger
Literally steamroll this guy, he's beyond useless if you walk up to him in auto range, just build health and punch punch punch.
Illaoi
This champ gets Sunderer and smokes you. This champ gets Hullbreaker and wins. This champ gets Death's Dance and does not die, simply no 5v1 is worth to risk your nexus for against her, consider banning if strong in meta.
Irelia
Her rework gave her one less stack to have which makes her kind of an issue (assuming she isn't already, Ms. 9 mythics). Play with caution and rush your antiheal.
Jax
I wholeheartedly believe EVERY point of the game, he is just beyond you. Maybe pre-9 but that would require you to have some sorta lead. I keep him unbanned as a pocket pick because he is super similar to Sett, consider learning so you can ban others.
Jayce
Simply just annoying, able to go even if you don't die in front of him. Try to dodge skillshots with sidestepping or keeping your health up so he isn't in the mood to assassinate you.
Kalista
I'd honestly just dodge it, unless you're giga brain pro and know how to deal with this Rend situation. Its like a forced punishment.
Kayle
Scales like a beast, you only get 6 levels to shut her down for real and that's not much depending on the comp of your team.
Kennen
Kennen is rare, but a good Kennen won't let you breathe. You can outfarm him and be more present in team fights, I prefer allchatting and demoralizing them for playing a rat character though.
Kled
Will always have more health than you, if he goes Sunfire, good luck. If he goes Goredrinker, abuse his squish and get ahead if possible.
Lillia
There's one quote to summarize this lane;
"Music can touch you, but you can't touch music."
Malphite
Easy to win lane against, bully early and force him to buy the cringe plated/bramble so you can rush BORK or BC. They do wonders.
Maokai
I haven't actually played against this guy in a year so pretend he's Malphite and yeah :^).
Mordekaiser
Very easy to fight, but this champion can roll your team if left alone in the wrong way. He only has his W as a trump card, Serpent's Fang isn't horrible but you should definitely be building %hp cut. Its not even a joke what his HP bar looks like after a whole combo and him just whooshing it with W.
Nasus
You 75% of the time (shut up stat websites) won't win the game against this dude, but you win lane somewhat decently. My favorite tactic is to just freeze and CTRL + 3 to get them antsy and run it down for a cannon. CAUTION: Doesn't work the higher you go.
Nocturne
Falls off, but is insanely strong with Conq + Stride duo. CARE FOR ROAMS FROM THIS GUY HE IS SO EASY TO GET FED ON WITH HIS R.
Olaf
Would be an extreme matchup but every Olaf seems to forget that his new ultimate is not good! As Sett you can save yourself from the scary red man by ulting him to somewhere YOU will be safe. It won't carry him with you, but instead, end his ultimate since he is not in contact.
Ornn
He's gonna sit under tower so work with your jungler to break his lane, any room to farm and hes gonna be a nutcase.
Pantheon
This guy used to bother me, but a PanthTA is gonna outdamage you in lane for sure. Save your E for when he Es and begin the motions on this sucker.
Poppy
Easy to fight if you don't get mispositioned, that's the easiest way for Poppy to safely trade you. Easier said than done, but anything is possible in the top lane really.
Quinn
Fleet Footwork, Doran's Shield, Revitalize, Second Wind and blunt.....
Renekton
Just bully him, despite him being crazy strong early game. Make him feel like he's being gaslit for being weak, despite he is in fact NOT weak.
Riven
Literally chooses how much damage she wants to do without a lick of punishment depending on the skill match-up.
Rumble
Just farm and grab him for baby trades, he does hurt if you let him.
Ryze
Touching this champ is harder than killing him, I feel like if he gets ahead with his Fimbulwinter, the game feels lost. Take good caution, a good Ryze is a monster.
Sejuani
Sejuani is possibly one of the hyperactive matchups, but there is a sly secret to fighting her that not many know... QSS. Just cleanse her ult and then ult her when she goes into hurt you.
Sett
Why you hitting yourself?!
Shen
A good Shen will play under tower and just have a farming date with you until his Jungler S/O comes up to kill you. You probably won't win the 1v2 like most other ganks due to the Shen EQW combo.
Singed
Considering just naming this guy Enigma because the people who play this guy, truly are, atrocious mysteries. Everyone sees this as a counter for Sett, but unless they know the MATCHUP, you can just toy with him.
Sion
E his chargeup, R him into teammates, just play with him like a dog toy.
Swain
Annoying ranged AP control draintank mage, as if being ONE of those weren't enough. Respect his root and damage of Q, he will have Liandry's so be careful stacking so much HP.
Sylas
Has a way better trump card W than you if performed correctly, can take other ultimates to get an edge over you in battle.
Tahm Kench
Repeat CC and gray health are just overwhelming to deal with, but with the power of teamwork, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN TOP LANE.
Teemo
Just steamroll this guy, sit right next to him when blinded and stun him once its done to let out the entire combo. People swear up and down this character has outplay potential. Everything Teemo does is HEAVILY counterable.
Trundle
This character just drains health? No idea what he does except unga bunga club you to death and slow you down. A thornmail and wardens should do the jobbity.
Tryndamere
Literally just annoying, his ultimate is easy to play around, but hes just pestering.
Urgot
So easy to deal with, you cannot W his R though, so make sure you don't off yourself trying to be stylish. You outdamage him since the THydra and Hull nerfs.
Vayne
If someone is confident to play Vayne top, runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn thats literally all you would be doing in the lane.
Viego
So tired of seeing this guy in League of Legends, just E>Auto>Auto>Q>Q>Auto just beat this guy up please.
Vladimir
You probably won't ever have a positive trade after level 5, make sure to build MR, any room for him to PENETRATE your resistances and that is a loss.
Volibear
This champ won't ever be weak, its the dooming truth but a good Sett can roll a good Voli. Hard to do, but you snowball upon this man.
Yasuo
Steamroll lane, his W is useless to your Glock-W. Pressure him and do your best not to int a kill, as his early is not something to be taken lightly.
Yone
Easy matchup, harder than Yasuo, due to his nature of scaling and having a lot of damage to come from maxed E. Shut him down and pressure him to never find a shot back into relevance.
Yorick
This character is listed here because in silver, NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBODY knows how to split push correctly (me included, sure). My genuine permaban, he won't ever be a problem for Sett, but he will be for your team if someone else is ahead on the enemy side.
