Threats & Synergies
Skill matchup. Hit your E when she charms you and it's a freekill
You can engage anytime when her stun isnt up. If she has it up though stay away from her
If you can keep track of his ultimate and dodge it, you will win. If he can hit it however, you he has more damage potential than you and you will most likely lose
Diana is the hardest counter for Talon. Diana excels Vs melee champions. My advice is to farm up to her and wait for your jungler for ganks. Don't try to 1VS1 with her
If he misses 1 of his spells, you can engage on him cuz you will out trade him. You can outplay him by dodging his spells.
She will destroy you early game; Stay away from her and farm up. When you hit 6 and you got your first items, you can start trading.
You will lose if he lands your ult on you. Try your best to just farm up to lvl 6 and get your items. Wait for him to miss his ult and you can engage him and perhaps kill him. Skill matchup
You can win from anivia if she misses her stun. Her damage potential is extremely dangerous however and her passive is a pain in the ass for assasins.
Azir is hard in lane for Talon due to his long range harass potential. Try to farm up to lvl 6, get your hexdrinker and wait for your jungler to gank. You might wanna save your E for when he pushes you away with his ult. Hard to kill
LB is the caster version of Talon. She is however less item reliant than Talon and therefor she has a stronger early game. Wait till lvl 6, try to harass her to around 40% with your W and then you can go in for a Gank
Whomever has the most dmg wins the trade due to the fact that Talon has no way of interupting her ultimate.
Lissandra is a pain in the ass for Talon due to the fact she can either stun you or make herself invunerable. Never dive her when her ultimate is up
You can kill her whenever she misses her Q
His danger lies in his ultimate. Dont trade with him when his ultimate is up or when you dont have a Quicksilver.
She is squishy and doesnt have a natural escape. You can dodge her ultimate if you keep track of her ball. Be aware of her harass in lane though
Xerath has extremely long range which makes it easy for him to stay away from you. If you can get close to him however he will be chanceless due to the fact he is squishy and you eat squishies for breakfast
Yasuo is a pain in the ass throughout the entire game for Talon. He outpushes you, he outtrades you. Play safe and wait for ganks
Ziggs is an easy matchup. He has 1 escape but no real cc. You outdmg him in a full trade, but beware of his excellent poke
Zed is a skill matchup in favour of zed, due to the attack speed and botrk he builds. You want to safe your ult untill he uses it on you, then use yours and stay invisible untill his ult goes off. Then full on trade him
Viktor is a medium range caster with amazing burst. His e however is hard to aim. If he misses his E you can trade with him in your favour
Vladimir outsustains you in lane. Focus on not getting harassed and wait till you can burst him. Only fight him when you got your ignite up
Twisted Fate is the easiest match up for Talon. He has no escapes and only 2 offensive spells. If he used his card you can jump on him and kill him. Be aware of his ult and warn other lanes when he walks away to ult to their lane. Dont waste time walking to the lane he ultied to. Instead hard push your lane and take his turret
Vel koz is skill matchup. Vel koz has to aim all of his abilities and therefore it's hard to play vel koz well. If he misses abilities you can go in and trade him.
Veigar is kinda the same as Twisted Fate. He is squishy and no escapes. He only has more burst than Twisted fate so don't underestimate him. If he has no stun up you can kill him inmediatly.
I'm Troi and I'm a Diamond player. I've mained Talon for over 2 years now and have made it to number 200 Talon in the world a few months ago, wherafter it deteriorated to rank 700. I hope you will learn from this and can one day play vs me on the Euw servers.
Enjoy ur stay!
Talon has a simple skill sequence when engaging. However there are 2 way to engage.
The first way is by activating your Youmuu's Ghostblade followed by casting Cutthroat on your enemy. Then use your basic attack and your Tiamat active and then cast your Noxian Diplomacy. Then use your Rake and use another basic attack. Then finish it off by casting Shadow Assault. Use it again if the enemy isn't dead yet or stay invisible and run away if needed.
The second way is by activating your Youmuu's Ghostblade followed by your Shadow Assault. Then walk up to the enemy and cast e on him and use the skill sequence as explained above. The advantage of this engage is that the enemy wont see you coming and will react slower than when they see you coming.
First of all: Talon is very weak pre-six. You always wanna farm up tot lvl 6 and try to get your Tiamat as soon as possible. From lvl 6 onwards Talon will start to shine. One of the advantages of Talon is his extremely nice roaming potential. Try to abuse this. Keep in mind to always push shove up your lane to the enemy turret before you start roaming so you will not lose your turret.
Talon can split-push relatively safe without wards and has amazing waveclear when Tiamat and Youmuu's Ghostblade are finished. If your team is behind and you still wanna pressure you could try to splitpush in order to get your team back into the game.
Talon has extremely nice catching potential. If you know the enemy adc is farming on it's own you can go to him and finish him off using the 2nd form of engage I talked about. Catching potential is relative however due to the fact Talon can only kill squishy's fairly easy.
