To start I'd like to say my goal is teach newer players how to actually play this champ, my main hope for this build is to change the meta of Akali by showing the highest powered burst I could possibly find for her that could still provide survivability. Her passive grants you magic damage in your attacks depending on ap, she also probides a spell vamp bonus depending on your ad. What this passive tells us is that Akali can not only be built straight ap, she is in fact a hybrid champ.

To start you'll need to stay out of reach and poke with your q, farm whenever possible. An easy start with items with either be a Doran's Shield if you plan on taking heavy poke, or the standard start of a Longsword and Potions. The Longsword is mainly to help with your last hitting. Your first item's should be be a Hextech Gunblade followed by Sorcerer's boots.

This is where you'll be your enemies' worst nightmare, given that you didn't fed up to this point. By now you should have your Hextech Gunblade, Sorcerer's boots, and a Guinsoo's Rageblade, but if you still have money to spend it on your Trinity Force and or Nashor's Tooth.
