The Icebreaker – Sejuani Bruiser Build [Heartsteel+Hydra]

By cheiro rabo
Guide/Tip
❄️ Sejuani Hybrid Damage Jungle Build ❄️

📌 Quick Tips:

Prioritize your E, start blue side,
ALWAYS do a full clear and DONT INVADE!!
You scale with items and you're not strong early 1v1.

🔥 Power Spike Ganks:

ALWAYS GANK WHEN YOU GET YOUR HEARTSTEEL
Without Heartsteel stacks, titanic-hydra Titanic Hydra won’t deal significant damage.
So make sure to gank after your first item is complete to start stacking and bursting enemies.

⚠️ WARNING – READ THIS BEFORE PLAYING:

THIS IS NOT A FRONTLINE TANK BUILD!
Only use this build when your team doesn’t need hard engage or a true tank.
This setup explores Sejuani’s hybrid damage potential, combining:

HP-scaling burst

Sustained omnivamp damage

AoE pressure with item synergy, including liandrys Liandry’s Anguish for percent health burn over time.

🌲 Jungle Pathing:

Start Blue Buff — prioritize efficient full clear with your E maxed early.
Clear your Gromp and Wolves to reach level 3 quickly, then look for scuttle crab control.
Focus on farming until you finish Heartsteel, then actively gank to maximize your power spike.
Avoid early invades as your early game dueling is weak.

⚔️ Combat Tips:

Use your E to clear camps quickly and stack Heartsteel passive.

Post-Heartsteel, look for gank opportunities — your burst and sustain improve drastically.

Position yourself to land your ultimate sejuani-ult in teamfights on multiple enemies to maximize CC and follow up damage.

Use Titanic Hydra active to increase your AoE damage and waveclear.

Leverage liandrys Liandry’s Anguish to shred tanky enemies over time with percent health damage and synergy with your crowd control.

Keep track of Heartsteel stacks; avoid extended fights without stacks as damage drops significantly.

⚠️ Important Matchups:

Difficult: Zed and Rengar can snowball early and kill you before you scale. Play safe and call for vision control.

Even: Amumu and Warwick — both have sustain and CC, but you outscale if the game goes long.

Easy: Volibear and Malphite — you can kite and outdamage their frontline in extended fights.

💡 Additional Tips:

Coordinate with your frontline to ensure you’re not forced to tank in early fights.

Focus on building your core items quickly to reach your damage spikes.

In teamfights, avoid initiating — wait for your team to engage and follow up with CC and damage.

Use your ultimate smartly; catching multiple enemies sets up team wipes.

Ward deep and prioritize vision control to spot enemy assassins who threaten you early.

🕒 How to Play: Early / Mid / Late Game

Early Game:
Focus on clearing your jungle efficiently by prioritizing your E to maximize clear speed and stack Heartsteel. Start on blue side for better sustain and leash. Avoid risky invades or 1v1 duels early, as your tankiness and damage are low. Secure vision around scuttle crabs and look for safe opportunities to counter-jungle or help lanes only after finishing your clear. Your goal is to reach your first big item spike (Heartsteel) safely without falling behind.

Mid Game:
Once you have Heartsteel completed, your power to gank and skirmish improves significantly. Start looking for aggressive plays on overextended enemies in lanes, using your crowd control and burst to secure kills or force enemy flashes. Participate actively in objective control (dragons, Rift Herald) but don’t overcommit if your team lacks frontline engage. Use your ultimate to catch multiple enemies in teamfights and capitalize on your Titanic Hydra AoE damage and Liandry’s percent health burn.

Late Game:
In late game teamfights, avoid initiating fights yourself — wait for your frontline to engage. Your role is to follow up with your CC and sustained damage. Maintain Heartsteel stacks to maximize your damage output, and use Riftmaker healing as your friend. Target priority carries or bruisers. Keep vision control around major objectives and be mindful of enemy assassins looking to burst you down.
“Patience and timing forge the mightiest ice.”

🧠 Final Notes:

This Sejuani build turns you into a bruiser powerhouse with excellent mid/late scaling.
You’ll still bring CC, but now you can also 1v1 squishies, shred tanks with HP-scaling damage,
and sustain through fights with Riftmaker.

Just DON’T FRONTLINE like traditional Sejuani.
Let others engage and follow up with CC + burst.
“Beneath the ice lies fury.”
