Twisted Fate Build
Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hey guys! Welcome to my first guide ever!
In this guide I will just show you how I play TF and how I build him and any constructive criticism would be great. :)
This is just a short guide for those people who need solid builds when they first play TF.
If you don't think this build is any good, try it out before you say so.
I like to start of with a Doran's blade for its awesome damage and health. It is just a good item to start with if you are playing TF. Follow up with a quick zeal and bersek boots for the attack speed. I usually port back around level 7 and get these two items and then gank a lane.
You are asking why I build a PD early game, well it is just amazing and pretty cheap. It has pretty neat stats for TF and great potential early game because most of your damage comes from your E and PD gives you random crits so your damage early game will be very good. Getting madreds next is great for damage and against those annoying tanks.
Follow it up with ghostblade for its amazing active and then some defensive items such as banshees and quicksilvers.
Because this item freaking pwns. Most of the time the other team will try and focus you down because of your godly damage but when they do pop this baby and there you go, a cleanse with a much shorter cooldown.
For your last item, you can build a BT for the lifesteal and dmg but I sometimes tend to go even more defensive and buy a frozen mallet for the extra health and slow. This only depends on how your game is going.
SELL YOUR DORANS BLADE AND BERSERK GREAVES FOR EXTRA ITEMS SLOT. PD WILL GIVE YOU ENOUGH ATTACK SPEED AND MOVEMENT.
You guys are probably wondering why I don't get my Q until later levels.
Well I'll tell you this... YOU DON'T NEED THIS! It is useless on DPS TF and your damage will come more from your E early game than your skillshot Q.
Farming is the most important factor to be a good TF.
Always take a solo lane. Either mid or top, pick whichever one you feel you will do better in.
Okay... Basically you need to... FARM!
FARM FARM FARM FARM FARM!
Did I say you need to farm?
Farm so hard until you get your PD and then you will start raping!
Spam your blue and red to harass the enemy and to replenish your mana. You can also zone them out with your gold card.
To zone your enemy: Whenever your enemy champion plays more aggressive on you, pull out that gold card and will scare the **** out of them. They won't go in range of that card unless they think they are Rambo or something. One stun to their face, one hit with an e and another auto attack. BAM! 250-350 HP gone in what... 3 seconds?
Alright... Mid game... ahhh... mid game. TF truly shines after he gets his PD and Madreds. His damage is off the charts and his ganks are a pain.
Right when you reach level 6 or 7, recall back to base buying a zeal and berserkers boots.
Pull out that gold card and then gank a lane. First try and tell your teammates to bait the enemy laners hard and then teleport in there. You do not want to just randomly teleport behind the full HP enemy champions and get slaughtered by an easy exhaust+ignite combo. TF IS VERY SQUISHY! So wait for the right time to teleport in. You should constantly be farming minions, even in mid game. Gank every so now and then and make sure you call MIA!
Late game and team fights:
Everyone knows TF is a great backdoorer. So why not backdoor? Late game is where TF starts to become the primary target for the other team because they understand how ****ing crazy your DPS is and they want to get rid of you ASAP! That IS WHY YOU STAY BACK! All the way back! For example, when your team is fighting the other team by dragon, you should be a safe distance away from them. When the other team wastes all of their spells and has to wait on their cooldowns that is when you come in and rape the eff out of the whole team. Start with a gold card and a Q and rape the most dangerous threat you see. You can either port in behind their carry or just come from behind them.
Keep POINTS IN TEAMFIGHTS:
Stay back and wait for the team to waste their cooldowns. Or just stay back so you don't get focused.
Spam your Q during the fight and your gold card.
Focus their carry if you can.
Pros / Cons
DPS is insane
His ultimate alone makes his amazing.
Can be countered easily with a nocturne or eve. Any of those gay champions.
Is item dependent for good damage.
Exhaust - For the slow and first blood.
Ghost - Everyone should run this. haha Great escape and for chasing.
I don't think TF needs anything else. lol
Other awesome combination -
Cleanse + Ghost
The reason why I choose cleanse and ghost is for escaping. TF basically has no escaping abilities. I love cleanse because of that fact that it works so well with quicksilvers. Taric stun on you? Cleanse out of it. Sion stuns you after? Bam! Quicksilvers.
I love cleanse. ;)
