~Introduction - Vayne, The Night Hunter~

Hello summoners!
I'm gonna show you how to build Vayne, so you can destroy enemies and carry your team for a Victory. Vayne is an AD Carry, with insane damage in early game. If you use this build, simply with Doran's Blade, you will be their level 1 nightmare at the beggining of the game.
This guide is quite agressive and maybe is not your style, but I reccomend you to try it, because (and most important thing) you are going to have fun! Enjoy!

~Pros / Cons~

PROS

Insane damage early - mid - late game
Amazing Carry. If you see a Vayne in your team, and she is good... Victory!
Stealth during ultimate
Dodging and Escaping skills
Sexy girl
Fast when chasing enemies
Pusher

CONS

Always focused in teamfights
Squishy
Requires technique and time to get used to her
Sometimes you think you are god with R, and you aren't, so you fail hard
Needs a team mate. Yes, Vayne works better with someone to protect her. Mid lane is a dangerous option, specially VS champs like Vladimir or Lux
Easy to miss the 3rd shot with Silver Bolts (they will get out of range normally)
Item Dependent

~Skill Sequence~

- Tumble - Vayne tumbles, maneuvering to carefully place her next shot. Her next attack deals bonus damage.
Vayne tumbles a short distance and her next basic attack within 6/6/6/6/6 seconds deals bonus physical damage.

The bonus is equal to 55/60/65/70/75% of her total Attack Damage.

Cost
40/40/40/40/40 Mana
Range
25000

I prefer to max the Tumble. Vayne's Tumble is her funnies part. She can avoid champ skills as Kog' Maw's Voiz Ooze, Rammus PowerBall, Ashe's Ultimate, Kennen's Shuriken... and she deals terrible damage when hits an enemy. Tumble is my favourite skill and it's usefull to harass in early game, as an ofensive or defensive way. Your better choice!

___________________________________________________________________
- Silver Bolts - Vayne tips her bolts with a rare metal, toxic to evil things. The third consecutive attack or ability against the same target deals a percentage of the target's maximum Health as bonus true damage. (Max: 200 damage vs. Monsters)
Vayne tips her bolts with a rare metal, toxic to evil things. The third consecutive attack or ability against the same target deals an additional 20/30/40/50/60 plus 4/5/6/7/8% of the target's maximum Health as true damage. (Max: 200 damage vs. Monsters)

Cost
Passive
Range
10000

This is very important for Vayne if you are good on hitting and knowing how focus the same target. If you are gonna attack someone in your lane, make sure you hit him three times. And dont worry if he's the Tank. With Silver Bolts, he's going to suffer with you :D Anyway you will prefer to focus the weakest champion.

_______________________________________________________________
- Condemn - Vayne draws a heavy crossbow from her back, and fires a huge bolt at her target, dealing damage and knocking them back. If they collide with terrain, they are impaled, dealing bonus damage and stunning them.
Vayne fires a huge bolt, dealing 50/90/130/170/210 (+) physical damage and knocking her target back.

If they collide with terrain they take 50/90/130/170/210 (+) additional physical damage and will be stunned for 1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5 seconds.

Cost
90/90/90/90/90 Mana
Range
575

Hey, this is Vayne's difficult skill to use. Y'know, I've seen lots of Summoners playing as Vayne and using wrong her Condemn. This is similar to Alistar's Headbutt, or Poppy Heroic charge, but in range, which is hardest; you must use it wisely so you dont mess up a kill. I reccomend you to use it when your target is near a wall, so he gets damage and stuns. DO NOT use if when chasing, unsless you are able to smack your enemy into a wall, because maybe instead of killing him, you save him pushing him away from you and your team mates.
___________________________________________________________
- Final Hour - Readying herself for an epic confrontation, Vayne gains increased Attack Damage, stealth during Tumble, and quadruple the bonus Movement Speed from Night Hunter.
For 8/10/12 seconds Vayne gains 35/55/75 Bonus Attack Damage, Tumbling grants Vayne stealth for 1.5/1.5/1.5 seconds, and the bonus Movement Speed from Night Hunter is quadrupled.

Cost
80/80/80 Mana
Range
1

Here we have her Ultimate. Realy usefull when a teamfight starts or you are chasing an enemy. It gives you stealth for a few seconds, which is quite cool for surprising an enemy when he's farming. You just get into a bush and Tumble after pressing R. Then you got a kill=) Anyway, as Condemn, use it wisely. It may be a waste of time when your target is under his turret. Vayne is squishy as hell and just in extreme situations she shall go under their turret. The good thing is the low cooldown, so use it as much as possible!

~Runes - Best Choice~

The agressive part of my build focuses the runes I use. I had a dilema, about Damage or Armor Penetration, but when I tried them both, definetly I chose the damage ones. Insane in early game, 3 shots and characters like Teemo or Swain are dead! Very useful runes for first bloods and mid lane harassing game. It also helps with the farming, specially when you are fighting againts mages, since their autoattack is low and yours is SICK! With damage runes, you dont even have to waste mana. I never had mana problems with Vayne, because the sequence would be:

Shot {Silver Bolts}- Shot {Silver Bolts}- Tumble - Shot {Silver Bolts Damage + Tumble damage}

*This runes also help to farm Jungle Monsters quickly without taking much damage in low lvls.

I also take Health runes and Attack Speed runes, but it wouldn't be too necessary for players who priorize Phantom Dancer. Little Health helps to survive for first bloods.
If you pay attention, I'm focusing on early game. In my oppinion, for Carrys like Vayne is very important to get fed in early-mid game. If you are able to kill in the first 15 minutes, the enemy team probably couldn't stop you in late game. And with this runes is very easy to get fed, believe me ;D

~Items~

Just explain a little bit why I buy those items. Other players, as I said before, prefer to get first a Phantom Dancer, and I don't say its a bad option, but this build is based on damage. You already have attack speed with Madred's and runes. Why buying those expensive Dancers? With Vayne's passive, you can chase enemies and gain bonus movement speed with Ultimate too. For escaping, you have your Flash. So forget about this item, is not needed.

is a very important item for Vayne. Combined with your W and , you can take down Tanks and offtanks very fast.

You may ask yourself why I build first Black Cleaver and Madred's if I bought Life Steal first for a BloodThirster. Well, buying gives you survability in your lane, and usually I don't need the stacks of the till late game, so that's why. I prefer buying that instead of 27240614 potions.

Just to mention, I've seen lots of Vaynes buying Trinity Force
I've tried it too and personally I think it's too expensive and usefull while you are getting it. It's fast to get damage and attack speed. Yeah, I know, Vayne is squishy but guess what, when you are fed, no one can't stop you, specially if you are using your tumble constantly with your R, confusing and dodging your enemies. They will be dead before you die. (Obviously, with a nice team to help you). So, let your tank to build health, and mages AP, you don't need it if you are doing a good job :)

Optional items:

- Last Whisper. The con of this build, is that maybe you will need armor penetration for Tanks and stuff. This could be a good option if killing a 3000 HP dude is hard for you.

- Frozen Mallet. Squishy Vayne sometimes needs health if the match isn't going as you expected. Also, your shots will be improved with this item, they will reduce enemy movement speed for a short period of time. Now you are Ashefied :D

- Trinity Force. Ok, try it if you want, but I rarely use it. It will give you a little bit of everything. HP, Damage, AP...

- Banshee's Veil. Nice item when those powerful mages, like Karthus or Malzahar, are pissing you off. It also gives you survability and mana. I love this item!

- Infinity Edge. I prefer to buy this item for Carrys who need crits, like Ashe or Tryndamere, but it gives you alot of Attack Damage and you can be powerful as hell. I reccomend you to build this as a last option, when you are ultra fed and have lots of gold to spend in your last space.

Situational Items

Of course, depending on how the game is evolving, your enemies, your allies, etc. , you would buy the items in a different order or buy another equipment. For example, if you are the one who's doing backdoor constantly, or focusing on destroying their towers, you should have bought Attack Speed first (for example, Phantom Dancer) instead of the Black Cleaver. If you are killing those 2 mages in your lane, Veigar and Katarina, go ahead and buy BloodThirster instead of Madred's.

This was a game were everybody who plays Vayne, should buy first. And of course, Mercury's Treads or some magic resistance. (we won it btw :P)

If you wanna follow this guide, think about what you should priorize. The 3 main items you are gonna buy anyway are:
- The Black Cleaver
- Bloodthirster
- Madred's Bloodrazor

~Tips for Vayne!~

So if you wanna shine with this build, you also have to farm a lot, so the Tip 1 is: FARM FARM FARM! You need the Red Buff all the time, so when this buff is respawned, go and get it. You don't need the Blue one, so let your mages take it :) You are supposed to focus in your autoattack; mana is not needed. Vayne's skills have low cd, ignore the Blue buff.

Tip 2: harassing in early game will mean that champions in your lane will be out of range. When this happens, try to get close and kill their minions so they can't farm.

Tip 3: attack constantly the Carry/Mage, if it is in your lane when you are bot - top. Even tho you have the w activated, focusing those 2 will be better. Just try to take down their tank is he pushes agressively. C'mon, you are Vayne, no one can be more agressive than you!

Tip 4: when a Teamfight starts, specially in the river, press inmediatly your R when you see their Carry. Killing him will be and advantage for your team. The Carry is supposed to be out of range in teamfights, but people use to ignore this fact. Anyway, in case the dps is far from the teamfight, just tumble and in stealth, kill him. Then, run away to a save place in the teamfight so the others can't focus you, and continue attacking.

Tip 5: Vayne's best thing is the surprising fact. Make sure you are alone VS 1 target when he's farming, and with the help of your ult, place yourself beside him and stun him in a wall. Killing this enemy will be easy, because he got surprised and stunned and couldn't even react :)

Tip 6:
when a bunch of creeps threat your turret, use Tumble continuously to kill them faster.

Tip 7: care with champions like Swain, Poppy, Anivia, Twisted Fate, etc. If a stunner gets you, it is really hard to escape. You are weak as hell, remember!

Tip 8: when your team is getting Baron buff, place yourself near the wall, inside the ring where Baron is. If the other team goes there, and attempt/start to kill you all, you may consider escaping with flash over the wall, because they will focus you the first.

Tip 9: is hard to find a good combo for Vayne with another character since she's good in 1 vs 1. But I reccomend to have an offtank with you, someone with lots of hp, or maybe a Support. Yes, being in lane with Ashe is cool, but you both are weak and easily will run out of HP / Mana. Nunu is a good choice for example, or Soraka.

Tip 10: Vayne deals more damage with Tumble to Innhibitors. Use this advantage!

Tip 11: if your gamestyle is not agressive, I don't reccomend yo to buy Vayne. She needs to get fed since she is item dependent, and yes, you have to play carefully but don't stay under your turret all the match, please! But don't be a kamikaze anyways.
