Greetings!
My name is David (Zodyacc), I am a Diamond/Platinum (EUNE) Vayne player. In this Guide I'll try my best to help you with getting better, or starting at Vayne. Feel free to ask any questions regarding Vayne, I'll do my best to respond as soon as I am able to do so. As for the Vayne, I can tell she's one of squishiest adcs you can pick, with really poor early game, short range and high skillcap, however she's really rewarding to play and has huge outplay potential, she can melt tanks easily, her mobility is insane. You might want to pick Vayne whenever there are some heavy tanks and you lack damage against them in team.

- One of squishiest champions in game
- Reasonably weak during early game
- Depends on support early
- Difficult to master/high skill cap
- You have to be close to walls, in order to hit Condemn
- Shortest range of all adcs
- Poor wave clear

Night Hunter
Vayne gains 30 Movement Speed when moving towards an enemy champion.
Q
Tumble
Vayne tumbles, maneuvering to carefully place her next shot. She rolls toward the cursor and her next attack deals bonus damage equal to 50 / 55 / 60 / 65 / 70% of total attack damage. This bonus damage is not increased if the attack critically strikes.
Cooldown: 4 / 3.5 / 3 / 2.5 / 2seconds. Cost: 30

Silver Bolts
Vayne tips her bolts with a rare metal, toxic to evil things. The third consecutive attack or ability against the same target will deal 4 / 6.5 / 9 / 11.5 / 14% of the target's maximum Health as bonus true damage (Max damage vs. monsters is capped at 200).
Silver Bolts' damage bonus cannot fall below 50 / 65 / 80 / 95 / 110.
E
Condemn
Vayne draws a heavy crossbow from her back, and fires a huge bolt at her target, dealing 50 / 85 / 120 / 155 / 190 (+0.5 per bonus attack damage) physical damage and knocking them back (900 units). If they collide with terrain, they are impaled, dealing 150% of Condemn's initial damage again and stunning them for 1.5 seconds.
Cooldown: 20 / 18 / 16 / 14 / 12 | Cost: 90

Final Hour
For 8 / 10 / 12 seconds, Vayne gains 25 / 40 / 55 bonus attack damage as well as tripling Night Hunter bonus, reducing Tumble's cooldown by 30 / 40 / 50%, and granting invisibility for 1 second when casting Tumble.
While active, whenever a champion damaged by Vayne dies within 3 seconds, Final Hour's duration is extended by 4 seconds, up to a maximum of the original duration.
Cooldown: 100 / 85 / 70 | Cost: 80

Runes

So as for the runes, I'll explain the domination tree, as for the runes on Vayne keep in mind, you cannot go wrong with any runes, every rune brings something useful to your kit and your invidual playstyle However Sudden Impact and Ravenous Hunter are probably the default ones that you might want to go for if you're new to Vayne.

After using your dash, dealing any damage to a champion will grant you 7 Lethality and 6 Magic Pen for 5s.
In my opinion it's one of better runes to go for, especially since it gives you awesome damage boost early, however the reason that Sudden Impact works so well is that you will procc it so often thanks to low cd on your Tumble

Heal for x (based on level) the next time you damage an enemy champion.
Taste of Blood is amazing if you know that you'll lose the lane and you want to play safely while sticking to turret, simply take it if you'll need extra life steal

Collect eyeballs for champion takedowns. Gain an Adaptive bonus of 0.6 Attack Damage or 1 Ability Power, per eyeball collected.
Upon completing your collection at 20 eyeballs, additionally gain an Adaptive bonus of 6 Attack Damage, or 10 Ability Power for a total of 18 Attack Damage, or 30 Ability Power.
You collect 1 eyeball per champion takedown (Which means either if you get kill or assist, you'll gain eyeball stack).
Eyeball Collection is quite situational, you can use it if you're sure that you will snowball.

Heal for 1.5% (+2.5% per Bounty Hunter stack) of the damage dealt by your abilities.
Earn a Bounty Hunter stack the first time you get a takedown on each enemy champion. (Per each champion defeated)
Ravenous Hunter is absolutely amazing, the rune goes well with your Silver Bolts and the result of that is enormous life steal that you get during late game, in my opinion I consider it a 'must-have' on Vayne.



Champion takedowns restore 12% of your missing health and grants an additional 20 gold after a 1 second delay.
In my opinion Triumph is extremly useful and awesome rune as for Vayne, you get a even more outplay potential if you play the teamfights well, and it can not only save you quite a lot of times, at least in my case, but also it grants you some additional gold

Gain 3% attack speed plus an additional 1.5% for every Legend stack (max 10 stacks) for a maximum of 18% attack speed.
You gain Legend stacks for every 20 points earned:
20 points for champion takedowns
20 points for epic monster takedowns
5 points for large monster kills
0.8 points for minion kills

I consider Legend: Alacrity and an absolute need for any Vayne build, it grants you quite a lot of Attack Speed which works amazing with your W Silver Bolts.

Deal 8% more damage to champions who have less than 40% health. This does not apply to true damage.
Coup de Grace is quite straight forward, it's extremly useful if there are 3, or more squishy targets at enemy team.

Deal 5% more damage to champions with 150 more max health than you, increasing to 15% with 10%-100% more max health than you.
Cut Down is same thing as Coup de Grace, it gives you more potential to kill the tanks, useful against such champions as Sett, Cho'Gath, Braum or Vladimir, you might want to take it if there are 3 or more tanks at enemy team.
Matchups

Caitlyn - High
Caitlyn can deny you from farming at lane, not only that, she outranges you quite a lot. If she targets you with Ace in the Hole that'll reveal you out of your R>Q invisibility. She's really annoying to play against
+ Avoid trades with her, since she outranges you.
+ Give up the minions if that's necessary, since you'll most likely be pushed under turret not being able to farm. However, if you're able to - take control of the lane.
+ Be careful and watch out for the traps, you can easily Q Tumble into them by a mistake.
+ Avoid taking unnecessary damage from Caitlyn Q
