Veigar Passive Ability

Pros / Cons

Pros:
-A decent passive that with a stacked "Tear of The Goddess" he doesn't need Mana Regen items.
-Infinite AP by farming his Q and by killing champions.
-An amazing lasting AoE stun.
-An ultimate that nullifies enemy AP carries.
-One of the biggest single person bursts in the game.

Cons:
-Low mobility.
-No Sustain.
-No escape apart from the Stun.
-Relatively weak early game.
-Landing the stun needs a lot of practice.

Farming

Veigar is weak early but he can transform into a late game terror.
So farming with Veigar is the key element of success.
Try last hitting with Q as much as possible!
Don't farm with W unless there's a reason!
Farm Q more!!!

Early Matchups

Against lower Auto Attack range champions than you:
-Harass with Auto Attacks and periodically with Q.
-Better farm with Q than harass with Q.

Against equal or higher Auto Attack range champions than you:
-Stay in the back and safely farm.
-Always initiate with the stun.

Roaming

Landing the stun has vital meaning.
Roam only if you think that the kill is sure. (You have no time to spend)
If not, keep farming.

Teamfights

Your job is to "hundred to zero" the enemy mid laner or the AD Carry.
As said before, stun and then unleash your skills to delete that guy from the map!
While your abilities are on cooldown, stay in the far back and keep hitting the closest enemies with Auto Attacks and Q. When both your E and W are up again, stun and W for an easy large amount of damage.
If you get caught and focused, Zhonya's Hourglass is your only choice.

Successful Stun ≤ Wοn Teamfight ≤ GG

Conclusion

Good farming and Stun Landing, is what Veigar is all about.
A good Veigar player will punish his enemies if they don't try to shut him down early.
