Been playing the game since Yasuo was first introduced and have always loved him. Typically hes a mid-laner but I feel he can be played in the bottom lane as a effective support.
I am in no way a top tier player, still trying to climb the ranks of elo hell but I think mechanically I have a good understanding of the game and how to win but there's tons of room to improve. You can view some of mine and my friends gaming from our joint youtube channel via

SO WHY DO I THINK YASUO CAN BE A SUPPORT?
Well here's my reasoning.
Way of the Wanderer. It adds to being tank as hell, making you resist an attack every 100 steps. Its sounds OP cause it is.
He has windwall. This move can totally mess up hard dives from enemy ranged teams and abilities aswell a good yasuo player will know when to use it and how to place it.
Sweeping Blade is amazing for chases. Imagine this. You can chase anyone in lane. You are Tanky as hell and have a item that slows them on melee attack. That makes me panic as a ADC.
And it SHOULD. Not to mention it makes this tank move around like hes a f22 fighter jet.
Steel Tempest. This is the make or break it skill. If you suck with this play someone else. But this ability gets faster with attack speed and is the reason why Support Yasuo will love it is because of the knock up and his awesome Ultimate.
Last Breath ;D okay this isnt so great for supporting. mainly because it DESTROYS whoever you use it on. Tank Support Yasuo benefits from it being a long range engage with very little downside including an armour penatration buff :D
So If this leaves you at least intrigued to try it please do!! My dream for this guid is that a pro team uses this strategy guide in a professional match and wins!! :D
Remember his best quote.
That I think this is the mantra of Support Yasuo
"If you've come to kill me... I hope you brought friends."
