How to counter Cons
-Try playing safe to avoid being harassed by range attackers in the lane.
-In this build, I advise you to get two mana potions in the beginning, this way, you could last for quite a while.
-In early games, once your level 8, get meditate once. This is to help you stay in the lane longer. Once in late game, a good item to overcome this problem is frozen mallet.
-One more thing, if you are against a team full of debuffers, try getting quicksilver sash.
Alpha Strike >>> 1/3/5/7/10
Wuju Style>>> 2/4/9/12/14
Alpha Strike I take this skill first for easier farming at very beginning.
Wuju Style I take this skill at level 2 and upgrade it to the max after maxing alpha strike
Meditate This is not AP Yi guide so I leave this skill as one of the last to upgrade. I upgrade it only once at the beginning to help with laning.
Highlander Like any ultimate, I upgrade it at 6,11 and 16.
-Heal is a good skill for staying in the lane. In this build, you do not have enough time to heal yourself using potions in a war. Instead, get heal and instantly heal yourself to get a kill. This is a very helpful skill.
-Master Yi is not really a tanker but he can easily tower dive with alpha strike. One way is to use highlander then alpha strike and get the kill. But sometimes u might get slain by the turret. So ignite comes in handy here. Try to use highlander, alpha strike in and ignite and run to the nearest escape point. Remember not to run back to the creeps if you are to far in the tower, try running to the nearby bushes if you are in the top or bottom lane.
-Besides ignite and heal, another skill that is helpful when playing master yi is exhaust. Highlander and exhaust work well together. Being able to slow your enemy down and using highlander to catch up is a good way in chasing your enemy. But in my opinion, getting ignite and heal is still better. Highlander is like the skill ghost which already makes us run fast and you cannot be slowed down. But it is really up to the player.
In this build, its all about getting kills fast. You do not want to take your time killing your opponent when it comes to master yi. Using highlander, wuju style and also alpha strike give you the advantage to easily grab a kill in any situation. Tower diving can be done by alpha strike and ignite. On a different terrain, being able to alpha strike if the enemy is in the range is an edge that give master yi the ability to ambush the enemy. This build also helps your teammates. In a war, killing each and every one of the heroes is your main priority. Having a frozen mallet allows you to slow down the enemy, giving a chance for your teammates who are injured to escape. Besides that, getting a frozen mallet means you do not have to waste your ultimate when it come to killing an easy opponent as mana is a problem for master yi in the early and mid game.
Of course, in every gaming, farming is your main priority in the early game. Being able to farm well means getting your items earlier. In this build, I advise you to get two mana healing potions and one health healing potion. This allows you to stay in the lane longer and also to start spamming alpha strike once it is level 2. Spamming it on the first level does not really serve much use as the damage is low.
To farm gold and experience in early game is easy. If you are against range opponents, try your best to harass them constantly so this give u a chance to gain experience from the creeps and also gold from killing the creeps. As a melee hero which is known to be very strong, range attackers tend to back off when you are approaching them. Just leeching experience till you are level 3 is also a good idea. This way, you will not waste mana and will be able to spam alpha strike when you are level 3.
Allies and enemies
Taric, Sion, Alistar, Amumu, Udyr
Nasus, Mundo, Nunu, Swain
And ofc Supports :)
Blitzcrank, Morgana, Janna, Lux
Heavy range dpsers (Especialy casters)
Malzahar, Annie, Ryze, Tristana, Veigar[/color]
That is all for the build. Remember, this build and my advise, you'll do fine. Remember summoner skills and skill sequence, you will find playing in the early game will be a breeze. Ignite and heal, is a gud combo, and so is ignite and exhaust. That is all and enjoy the guide.
