Updated the 1st post.
Didnt want to remove the sticky since ppl might still look for a topic like this and eventualy create another and another and another one asking "what to buy".
I got a suggestion and after reading the guide i thought that it is quite a good idea to expand the 1st post a bit.
I know the link is broken but it was broken here and there through the time it was here so i'll just leave it.

I'm getting close to 3150 and trying to decide whether to buy Karthus or Twitch. I think they both look like incredibly fun champions and I'm not necessarily concerned about who will get the most kills. Any input on which I should choose?

Karthus' attack swing can be quite the pain to master. But if you love, and I mean absolutely love to troll people. Then he would be the best bet with Requiem. Twitch on the other hand is this mangy rat that just loves to poke at your health bar. He's incredibly fun when you shoot your enemies and press expunge and kill them.
So it depends if you like to poison your enemies to death or flat out blow them up. I personally like Twitch more although haven't played Karthus all that much.

Karthus has the worst attack animation ingame... srly, i play him on regular basis in ranked and i still miss those creeps. It just takes forever to lasthit witn basic attack.
BUT
Remember that he is an EXCELENT farmer anyway. Just use your Q to farm as soon as you hit lvl 2... and you are good to go. You will get your mana back (from E) just be sure to hit a single mob (double damage) and always lasthit (dont DPS).
Twitch... oh god... he can be either a useless champ or a total gamechanger. It all depends on how good you are on positioning yourself as a ADC.
Very easy to play early game if you know how to conserve mana. Squishy lategame but deadly in teamfights.
It's always your call... and remember Karthus is ALL ABOUT Q not R! :)
