In case I didn't make myself clear, I think you're charging too much (the same as Reddit, and there you get a lot more)
I fully agree here, both the subscriptions and the commendations seem much more pricy than necessary.

Right now the maximum value for commendation is 4 dollar when buying 1 and the minimum is 2 dollar when buying 50. This is incredibly pricy in my honest opinion. Paying any amount of money to the website as a reward for a user of the website doesn't make sense to me, it should be free or very cheap at most. This would make sense if it was to promote streams and such, then it would be great as it is practically advertisement for it. All other scenarios however, the guide author would not be rewarded other than vanity. Therefore I really think the price for commends should be toned down to make the system feel more reasonable.

The subscriptions also seem pricy to me as it is only really useful as a guide writer imo. Maybe that is something you aimed for so I cannot blame you too much.

The biggest problem though is that payment can only done by creditcard and not by pin or any other online paying method. How can I support this website when I belong to the pin card masterrace? :3

it's ridiculously overpriced and it also lets people who pay dictate what is good and what is not... which I don't really agree with :/

The custom profiles look really awesome! It would be really cool if normal users could have some sort of default version and if you get prime, you can do whatever you want with it. The normal profile looks out dated in comparison. However, I understand that you want to sell prime.

I like the resdesign and new icons (forum still seems dated)

Seems like a nice idea although I can't see it being worth enough for people to pay for it, but good luck guys!

Also remove this topbar animation thing when you scroll down, looks stupid if you start off the page further down

Would it make more sense for a Patreon sort of set up? Where people can donate what they want to get certain features? Like $1 a month could get rid of ads. $2 a month could give you a custom profile. $3 a month gives you 1 commend to use. $4 a month gives you access to a private forum + 2 more commends. $5 gives you stream exposure. etc etc? (maybe these things in a different order?) As in, there are tiered rewards depending on how much you pay per month to unlock. And at each milestone ($500, $1000 etc), MobaFire can do something cool for all the Prime Members. People who join Prime would then also see how much we're supporting MobaFire and feel pride in doing so. <--- that's what I like about Patreon.

I don't mean to sound ungrateful to those that worked hard to create these new features. However, the main content draw to this domain is created and provided for FREE without compensation. It seems rather absurd to need funds for "supporting" when that's already being done in mass. If anything, successful guide authors should be compensated($) for their hard work and continued support of Mobafire. I understand it's marketing and another revenue stream but at some point you have to think about what's driving this business and how to make *that* better. Maybe I missed the boat but thats my #2cents.

NateKiller, it's totally OK to voice your opinion, we don't think you're ungrateful and we appreciate your feedback. :)

I want to start off by saying that the intent is to add some fun features and not take away what everybody already enjoys for free. It is meant to be a fun experience for those who wish to donate, but not to take away from the core MOBAFire experience everyone gets to enjoy right now.

You are right that every guide writer and member supports MOBAFire by providing awesome content, and we are super grateful for that. It's more of an extra option if you want to support MOBAFire monetarily without ads. It's also a way for people to show their appreciation for content creators with more than just a comment.

I've also seen the feedback that we should pay guide authors multiple times in this thread. I don't think you're wrong that guide authors deserve a reward for their hard work, but that's a whole new beast and wasn't the intent of this system. I would also like to take this time to point out that we've never had issues with guide authors throwing up donation links in their guides. That is an A OK thing to do and if you'd like to accept donations go right ahead. :)
Thanks to Minho for my sig!
