Description

I ranked all the supports. I'm no expert, so if you disagree, feel free to discuss. :) I update this as often as I can!

God tier Tier 1

In a really good state, can do a lot for their ADC.

Great Tier 2

For those supports that aren't busted but are pretty strong.

Good Tier 3

In a reasonably good state.

average Tier 4

Not in the greatest state, off-meta, or just meh.

weak Tier 5

Really off-meta or difficult to execute. But if you can make it work, good on you!

unknown Tier 6

I don't know enough about these picks to place them... yet.

Poppy S tier! Poppy S tier! Godly support, very tanky and has good CC, also can save you from extremely bad inconveniences and situations with her ultimate, she is overall a god support in my opinion! :D

I don't understand why yuumi is so high on this list personly I think she deserves to be at least B tier

Faced a tank support Nidalee and AP burst Malphite last night in bot lane. It was actually surprisingly difficult to combat them at times, considering I was playing Jhin and my amigo was using Nautilus. I do think Nidalee could be potentially in the good or even great ranking, but she's definitely not top tier.

definitely depends on how she's built and if the player really knows how she works imo

Teemo's q can turn a 2v2 into a 2v1 and eventually a 2v0 since it makes adc's worthless for 1,5 seconds to 2,5 in the right hands teemo is a force to be reckoned with.

braum is no longer tier 1 he should be replaced with nami

Hmm, honestly don't know what the Alistair as a god tier support. Maybe in early game he can do well, but late game I've seen Alistairs get wiped by enemy champs. Probably more of a tier 2 or 3 champion if you asked me. Though I will agree on the Soraka though since while she can be squishy, she has a good sustain for herself and when available, her teammates.

I've mostly been putting Ali high because he's just so potent in pro or in higher elos for his playmaking. Maybe the last round of nerfs hit him harder than I realized? I'll see what I should adjust. And Soraka is much more than just a healer, which I think tons of people overlook. Thanks for the feedback!

True, she also does great crowd control as well, and if you work with another stun/rooter, you can keep an enemy champ in spot for a good amount of time.

Yep, her CC is by no means guaranteed but with champs like Varus or Ashe it definitely works.

Good tier list, some of the top tier I still don't have but I agree with you on most of them. I do think Zyra could be in the god tier list.

I've moved Zyra up a bit within her tier, although she and Brand are about to get nerfed with Oblivion Orb changes soon. Thanks for your feedback!

Heimerdinger is cool. As support he requires correct runes and good planning ahead. I really like playing him, but top lane fits him much better. It's a bit of a pity that he does not have much utility - a pity.

sorry but i dissagree with the alistair and brand I believe brand is going to be nerfed or has been and ali for higher elos is rare

Ali is rare in high elo?! That's news to me. He's been consistently high priority in pro play and in high elo solo queue, from what I can tell of master/challenger streams. And Brand IS getting nerfed, but it hasn't happened yet; until then, he's quite the threat to face in the botlane, so he's in the top tier.

Im sorry about my incorrect claim i thought alistair was a mid/low elo champ and I thought he already was nerfed

Ali has been nerfed but is consistently a good pick in higher elos, including right now in pro play, for his CC. Don't apologize! Thanks for the feedback.

Hi I'm Corvux!
Very interesting guide! but I think that have a lot of potential to be a meta breaker on this season 9 due to the fact that he can turn the whole situation into something good and create very nice takedown opportunities with his .

Why is Sona so low? I played a lot against and also with Sona, and can do a lot of poke early game, if used well, and also can turn a teamfight with her Ult+heal.
Nice list btw, currently trying to master Brand, he has a lot of potential.

I actually main Sona, I've placed her this low because she's so squishy and easy to pop that it feels very unforgiving to play her most of the time. I agree that she's pretty good, and her winrate arguably shows it. I might move her up in a bit, just leery because the strongest supports and lanes right now all do a ton of damage early, when she's weakest. But she does scale hard.

Annie support is actually pretty busted once you get your items, I've tried it a bit before and it works great with MF and Jhin. The stun+ult combo is amazing in teamfights!!
