LeBlanc
Talon's Kryptonite, her E can kill you if you're not careful and you get hit by her e, she can just chain it into combos. She can also avoid your W pretty easily with her W. Laning phase will be almost impossible but try not to give her kills and look for kills in mid game instead.

Champion Build Guide
Hi guys, it's me ☔ Stormraided I've hit Rank 1 Talon and Kassadin in my server while being Challenger. Most of the builds featured here comes from me studying and dissecting the best Talon players (Zhami, Yedaoshen, Jeon-Sangdeuk, ForestofTime, etc.) I also stream on Twitch and I plan on making Youtube videos, so you can check me out if you have the time! |
General Pros & Cons Conclusion |
Setup Runes |
Must Knows Combos Gameplay & Mindset |
+ High burst + Insane Roaming Potential + Waveclear + Snowball Potential + Good teamfight for an assassin + High mobility and escape potential Talon's advantages comes from the ability to take out squishies in an instant, Youmuu's Ghostblade is one of the best items in slot for him, everything about the item is good, utility, speed, damage. He's also known for his absurd mobility and roaming abilities from his Assassin's Path. The adrenaline you get from playing Talon is different. |
- High Skill Ceiling, low skill floor - Reliance on snowballing - Vision counterplay - Items are expensive - Falls behind if game drags on for too long - Needs follow up from teammates Talon is a champion that you can easily pick up, but takes time to master. his kit could be countered if vs a champion like Lee Sin/Leblanc because they can just kill you when you're invisible. Late game he falls behind if everyone gets to level 18. Lastly, he needs someone to create space for him, someone who can zone them out like Malphite for example, if not the game could be a bit hard. |

Conqueror
My preferred playstyle of Talon, Conqueror is very strong, almost as strong as Electrocute early game, albeit a bit hard to proc. Excellent teamfight potential, you can also cheese people level 1 in bush with AA Q AA. When using this runepage, you have to fit in more autos before your combos/abilities. |
Electrocute
Electrocute is great for early trades, falls off a bit mid-late but still a great rune. I take this page when I'm vs an assassin where they are too slippery for me to proc my Conqueror |
First Strike
I do not recommend this runepage for beginners, it's way too inconsistent, you can play this setup if you're confident in your positioning, having First Strike up in fights is very important. |
Talon's abilities are pretty straight forward, each damaging abilities gives you stacks depend on the ability ( Noxian Diplomacy gives you one, Rake gives you two, Shadow Assault gives you two,) after that you can auto to proc your Blade's End when it is full (Three stacks). Always level up your Shadow Assault, since it's your most imporant ability, followed by Rake, which is your bread and butter ability, if Long Sword is your best friend, then you would marry Rake, it should always be maxed out, since it's your primary wave clear and poke tool, giving you farming ability and apply pressure on the enemy. Next you should level up Noxian Diplomacy to get it's cooldown down, having your Q on low cooldown is crucial for Talon's all-in potential, giving you more burst during trades and all-ins. Assassin's Path should be maxed out last, since it's not as critical as Rake or Noxian Diplomacy. |
Your bread and butter trading tool, try to throw your Rake a bit to the side that they're gonna walk to. When your Rake is starting to return back Noxian Diplomacy in and auto to proc your Blade's End. This combo cannot is very hard to miss if you time it correctly.
2# AA > Melee Noxian Diplomacy > AA
Your best tool to trading against melee champions early game, or you could sit in the bush and cheese them level 1. AA then Noxian Diplomacy instantly when you start AAing to cancel it into another auto.
This combo will be your staple against ranged enemies, also great for catching onto them, as you can latch on to them and guarantee your Rake, assuming they don't have a stun, if they do, you can Noxian Diplomacy on a dying minion because doing so reduces your Noxian Diplomacy cooldown, then you can Rake and do your bread and butter Rake into Noxian Diplomacy and auto to proc your Blade's End
Good combo against melee champions, you have to keep in mind if they have a dash because you start off the combo with Rake as the first ability, don't use this combo if they have a dash because they can just dash out of your second part of Rake
Highest damage combo, gets you almost full Conqueror stacks, probably the most fitting combo with the Conqueror build. Always proc your Blade's End with your auto. Use this combo in skirmishes or teamfights, another thing to note is you don't always have to end your Shadow Assault invisibility (Ending it is autoing or using Noxian Diplomacy or Assassin's Path. Just run around in your invisibility and target the enemy ADC or the most important target with your Noxian Diplomacy.
Also called the ❀ Flower Combo, this combo is the perfect combo to oneshot any target you want, the key to not messing the combo up is to Shadow Assault while you're travelling mid-air using Noxian Diplomacy. Finish them off with an AA to proc Blade's End
You can use your Shadow Assault while using Assassin's Path, also another great combo for picking off single target enemies who are unaware or if they don't have vision on you.
Basically the ❀ Flower Combo but with Flash, great combo to catch single target enemy off guard
Combo where there's lots of enemies and they don't have vision on you, flash to catch them off guard even more, also good for skirmishes/teamfights where you lack the range to engage. I didn't specify whether to use Melee/Ranged Noxian Diplomacy on purpose, you can use either depending on the situation. If you choose to use ranged Noxian Diplomacy the combo will look like this: Rake > Flash > Shadow Assault > Ranged Noxian Diplomacy > AA ( Blade's End), again, you can run around in your invisibility while ulting to create space for your team.
Good combo used against enemies with a skillshot CC ability, you Assassin's Path over a wall, enemy will probably throw out their CC skillshot, Rake Flash Ranged Noxian Diplomacy Shadow Assault AA ( Blade's End. You can even Assassin's Path across the opposite wall for an easy escape.
