By using our TFT team builds, you will stay on top of the meta and up your game! Our Team Comps Tier list is updated for Patch 14.10 so you can stay on top of the ever-changing TFT meta.
Build a Team CompThanks to improved targeting for Lilla in Patch 14.10, she is now a strong force in the meta. You can either play her in a Mythic/Invoker setup or try this version that is based around Heavenly and Sage. You can open with Mythic Heavenly, rush for Level 8 and look for Tier 4 Lillia/Morgana/Nautilus and the rest of your core units. Once you're stabilized push towards Level 9 and cap out your board with Wukong and Rakan. This comp makes great use out of Sage and Heavenly Emblems.
Umbral is a rather tricky comp to play, you can make it easier on yourself if you only commit on this comp with either "Wrath of the Moon" or an early Umbral Augment from either a Portal or an Augment.
The core concept is to rush for a 6 Umbral power spike use it to push towards Level 8/9. If you find a lot of Alune you can roll for Alune*3 first, but you can also decide to keep her as 2 Star in the mid game and focus more on legendary units as your win condition.
Umbral Emblem usually goes on Kayn/Lee in mid game and Irelia in late game. Sett takes Lee Sin items in late game, once he is upgraded or stacked enough AD.
In Patch 14.10 Riot buffed Lillia targeting, which immediately pushed her into the meta, because she used to constantly miss her casts. The new Lillia has extremely good targeting and as a consequence she is very viable in a Mythic / Invoker Setup as your main carry.
This comp works great with Mythic Emblems, especially on Annie/Azir to reach 7 Mythic or with an Invoker Emblem for Hwei/Naut and run 6 Invoker instead.
4 Sniper with 4 Warden is currently performing well against the current meta. Ashe acts as main carry with Amumu/Nautilus as your main frontline. Can use Aphelios as item dump early, rush for Level 8 and transfer items to Ashe.
With Level 9 you can add Syndra for Fated or another Sniper for 6 Sniper win condition if you have Emblem.
The gameplan for this comp is to slam items (Guinsoo early) and winstreak towards Level 9, while utilizing the power of 5/7 Storyweaver. Once you reach late game you want to pivot out of Storyweaver and replace the weaker units for Dragonlords and Legendaries.
With the help of economy Augments you want to push very aggressive towards Level 7 in Stage 3-5. You should be Level 9 in late Stage 4 or Stage 5-1 with this setup and roll down your gold for Legendaries. You mainly aim for this comp if you rolled down for Legendaries and managed to find Irelia and have suitable items for her.
Heavenly received a rework in Patch 14.9, so it now effectively works the same as Guild in Set 7 and gives out a team wide buff that is stronger on Heavenly units specifically. In early game you want to run Darius/Yorick with Qiyana and other heavenly units for a strong early mid game so you can rush for Level 8 and roll for Tier 4 units.
Your core comp is based around 5-6 Heavenly units with Lee/Kayn/Morgana. Lee Sin is usually a bit stronger and a better option over Kayn. Once you have your core upgrades you can push towards Level 9 and add Wukong/Rakan to cap out your board. Wukong can take Lee Sin items later in the game. You can also position Soraka into the second row so her mana reave ability can reach the enemy backline.
While Duelist comps have been suffering in previous patches, they are currently in a decent spot and worth playing if you aren't contested. Having +1 Duelist from an Augment like duelist Crest/Crown makes a huge difference for this comp so you can reach 8 Duelist in late game to cap out your board.
The core concept for all versions is usually based around having a strong early mid game and pushing Level 7 in early Stage 4. You want to slow roll for Tristana*3 and Volibear*3 and push towards Level 8/9 once you have them. However, in some cases it can be the correct call to push for Level 8 with your power spike and itemize Lee Sin while looking for Irelia. You can still 3 Star Volibear/Trist in this setup, but they are not the main focus in this version.
There are a lot of variations where you can run Inkshadows, Sages, Storyweaver or Dragonlords, which will depend on your units and Augments in the end.
Only play this comp if you have Shen Hero Augment Ethereal Blades in Stage 2-1 or 3-2. Slow roll with Level 6 for Shen*3, can also pick up Yorick on the way. Position Shen in the second row so he can profit of the Behemoth bonus stats. Once you have Shen*3 you can push towards Level 8, add Ornn for 6 Behemoth and add Morgana for Ghostly. In late game you can replace Chogath for Udyr and run Wukong for Heavenly + Sage.
Give Shen 2x Guinsoo + Bloodthirster/Gunblade/Giant Slayer. This comp makes great use out of some of the new Artifacts, especially Talisman of Ascension is amazing on Hero Shen (or Hero Yorick) and will make a large difference for your late game.
An alternative version for a level 9 rush comp. You open with a Ghostly Senna type setup and try to save up money and HP for a quick Level 8 rush. You want to stabilize with Kaisa in the mid game so you can rush for Level 9 in early Stage 5 and cap out your board with legendaries. Outside of Kaisa you can run Azir as your main AP carry and Xayah as a secondary AD carry. Ornn/Udyr will act as your main frontline.
This is not a comp you can force every game, since it requires either a very strong tempo opener + win streak or a Fortune cashout that allows you to stabilize after receiving your loot.
Ashe with Porcelain and Invokers remains a dominant comp in the meta, as Tier 4 units continue to reign surpreme. This is a very expensive comp, so you should only play this from a spot with a very high economy and run a budget team througout Stage 2 and Stage 3. Rush for Level 8 in Stage 4 and roll down your gold for your core units. You can also run Alune/Sylas if you don't have find Azir in your rolldown.
This comp heavily prefers to have at least one Porcelain Emblem for Annie for the DMG Reduction. You can replace Lux for Lissandra in late game once you find her. 6 Porcelain is a very powerful win condition, but it requires two Emblems and should only be attempted if you find a Spatula early into the game.
Fated Syndra is currently one of the best comps to go for. This comp makes great use out of Spatula for Fated/Dryad Emblem to either reach 7 Fated or 6 Dryad in late game to help cap out your board.
In early you you open with 3-5 Fated and 2 Dryad, itemize Kindred and try to rush for Level 8, where you want to roll down for Syndra, Ornn and if possible Sett/Azir/Annie. Once you're stabilized push towards Level 9 and look for the remaining legendaries or adjust your boards depending on your Emblems.
Usually Fated comps connect Thresh/Yasuo in early game for the defensive buff, but this version wants to prioritize Syndra/Ahri for the bonus AP and Damage. The Omnivamp from Sett can be useful in some fights, but it was heavily nerfed due to a bug fix in the most recent patch. For this reason you want to give the Fated Emblem to Azir to increase his damage in late game even further.
Vertical trait received some nerfs with Patch 14.9 making this comp slightly worse, but it's still worth playing, especially if you manage to find one of the new Artifacts called "Talisman of Ascension" that makes Gnar impossible to deal with.
The core concept is to push for Level 6 in Stage 3-2 and slow roll your interest for Gnar*3 and Kindred*3. You can pick up Shen*3, Aatrox*3 and Reksai*3 on the way if you happen to find them. Once you have your 3 Stars or feel like the remaining units aren't worth aiming for anymore you can push towards Level 8 to add Kayn/Ornn.
With new Tier 2 odds you can also push for Level 7 in Stage 4-2 and slowroll your remaining 3 Stars.
Kaisa Bruiser remains one of the more popular comps in Patch 14.9. The overall goal is usually to rush for Level 8 in either stage 4-2 or 4-5 and roll down for a Bruiser / Trickshot setup. This usually requires a strong early / mid game or you will end up dropping too much HP on the way. You want to play Kaisa as your main carry and Galio as your main tank. Once you are stable you can push towards Level 9 and look for Xayah*2 and Udyr to cap out your board.
Thanks to recent buffs and especially the Artifact Talisman of Ascension, Sylas has become a very contested unit, since he is capable of winning fights himself in the right setup.
Aphelios can still be a very strong reroll comp, but recent nerfs especially to Thresh make this comp more difficult to play. In Patch 14.9 the Omnivamp from Sett also received some bug fixes, that makes it much more difficult for this comp to suceed in late game.
Usually in the start you want to rush for 5 Fated and connect Yasuo to Thresh, so your fated units receive Armor/MR and a shield. You should be Level 7 in early Stage 4 and slow roll for Aphelios*3 and Thresh*3. It's extremely helpful to have a Fated Emblem at this point so you can reach 7 Fated and reach an additional power spike, so you don't lose too much HP until you find your 3 Stars.
Once you have your 3 Stars you can push towards Level 9 and add Ashe, Sett and Amumu/Lissandra to cap out your board. Aphelios has a 20% Sunder as part of his ability, so you can get away with skipping Last Whisper or Evenshroud in this comp. In late you usually connect Sett and Thresh for Omnivamp and defensive stats.
